Wahl body massager corded 2 speed

Excellent For Massage And More! - Truth Speaker "zoezo on Jan 20, 2007

I had my first Wahl "massager" for almost 15 years before the cord frayed. It is such a great and reliable product and the two-speed function allows you to control the intensity. I also appreciate the various attachments which allow you to pinpoint just the area you want to work on. May I risk saying I find this a multi-purpose massager and have found many marvelous uses. For the money, you can't get anything better.

WAHL 4120 MASSAGER - SSB812 "Red" on Nov 3, 2009

I had read some of the reviews on this massager so I said well let me try it. I really didn't expect all that much. I haven't used it on my shoulders or any other common spots because I bought it to try sexually. All I can say is OMG. Whatever motor or equipment they put in this massager, I am grateful for my purchase. I will definitely be buying the Gspot attachment. Oh and the fact that I can just plug it in the wall makes it even better. Never have to worry about batteries. It's my fav in my toy chest now.

Awesome!! - i<3amazon on Mar 3, 2011

I received this massager as a gift and I LOVE it! I use it for sexual purposes but it seems to be great for body massaging also. The 7 attachments it comes with are great to play with and try out. The cord is 9 feet long which is a good thing in my opinion because it reaches far and you don't have to deal with recharging-or the vibration getting low while using it. I personally would rather deal with a cord. This is also less pricey than a hitachi. I used this massager for over an hour and it started to get a bit warm. But, an hour is long enough. A few minutes with this thing on high and you will almost become numb if you aren't careful. If you are looking for something inexpensive with fun attachments and super high vibrations-this is awesome! It's got 2 speed settings. Personally, I have went through about 4 vibrators in the past year and have used so many batteries that it was time for something new! This thing is amazing. If you want high vibration-get it. I would also say that it's not very loud surprisingly on the low setting-high setting gets a bit louder. It depends on what you use it for though. For sexual purposes you don't have to press hard at all, but the harder you press the louder it gets. I have had louder vibrators, with less vibration. If 10 stars were available I would give it 10!!!

Pretty Good Vibrations! - Avery on Oct 15, 2006

I must say I was very skeptical when I received this massager as a gift. It looked a little clunky and is pretty heavy. However, once I turned it on and gave it a try I was pleasantly suprised.

It has a really nice vibration speed and motion that is a little different compared to most massagers. Also, the rythm really is relaxing for the whole body, not just the area you have the massager directly on.

I would recommend this product but wish they made it a little lighter. The wieght of it is a little cumbersome and could be a little too much for smaller individuals.

This Will Rock Your World! - S. Prestia on Feb 13, 2009

OH MY GOSH!, This is the best, low cost, quite, & most powerful vibrator I have ever owned. Even on low speed it totally rocked my world. Every woman should own one of these!

Heavenly Little Devil - brdinclt on Apr 11, 2011

An old aunt gave me my first Wahl for my wedding for,"when I just needed to relax". When the red pointy head broke last year after giving thirty years of extreme satisfaction, I was devastated. Finding this at Amazon was such a surprise. Only the Wahl give just the right sensations to that special little area where it is needed. The effects of this quiet little unit can be mind blowing and the price is the best anywhere. But who can put a price on true happiness. Girls, just try it and see.

Small, Powerful, Wonderful - F. Makar on Feb 10, 2008

This little guy is great! Easy to use, powerful yet gentle at the same time. The high and low settings are a good way to get rid of those stubborn sore spots. Also works wonders with my girlfriend ;)

Everything I Wanted....and More! - VonnieRocket on Aug 13, 2011

I'm not sure how this things works for messaging your whole body but I find that it works in one area specifically, quite well. As a "personal" and I do mean personal massager it gets the job done. I was worried at first by only having two speeds but I find that I only leave it on one setting anyway. It's the best vibrator I've ever purchased and I only got it for $20! No more batteries to buy ever again! I would stay clear of the high setting though I don't know if it's just mine but it makes a weird sound and I don't much enjoy the feeling. I stick with the lowest setting and that seems to suit me just fine. Ladies, you will enjoy!

OMG!!! - anon on May 27, 2011

Best. Thing. Ever. No clue how it does at massaging sore muscles, but as a vibrator it's definitely in my top 3. Most of the time the low setting is perfect, but for an extra little something there's a way to hold it so you can flip it to high right before you have a orgasm and I have to say it's better than anything else I've experienced. A definite must for anyone.

Ladies Will Love It : ) - Denise on Feb 11, 2011

Ladies will love this massager for those delicate areas...need I say more? I can't live without this fun toy! I get the right "O" results ALL of the time!!!

Good Vibe For Men - Jon Norris on Jul 5, 2009

Vibrators are useful for many things besides erotic pursuits, and I have found this unit to be quite adequate for many tasks. It has two settings, essentially very low and very high, with no moderate or medium setting. That is somewhat limiting, but considering the price, acceptable.

The vibe consists of a plastic handle containing the motor, which connect to AC wall power with a cord about 10 feet long (a nice touch - I hate short AC cords!). There are about 8 attachments included for various types of use, including scalp and muscle massage. The attachments press onto a post at the top of the handle. The vibe is roughly pistol-shaped, with the power switch where a trigger would be. The switch has three settings - off, low and high.

The low setting is quite mild, suitable for delicate tissues, while the high setting is more for deep muscle with no joints or nerve clusters nearby. Vibes can be very helpful for massaging various body areas, but one must also be careful to use them correctly. One would not use a hard attachment on the high setting to massage delicate areas of the face, for example. One can damage delicate structures if not careful. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of instruction on such matters included with most vibes.

To address the more erotic applications, I would note that vibrators are usually more fun for women than men (as always, your mileage may vary), due mainly to differences in anatomy. Men usually benefit more from a strong vibe in these uses, and that is why I say that this vibe is something men might be more interested in. Women can enjoy the lighter, battery powered devices much more than can most men (again, that is in general from research, my experience, and the men with whom I've discussed it, and your experience may be different).

Also, using AC power instead of batteries means longer and better performance, although in this case it also means much more heat generated along with that extra power. In fact, I have measured the case temperature at over 110 degrees F after about a half hour's use. Hot enough to make you take notice, but not hot enough to cause a burn. It does seem to loose power when it gets that hot, though, so I switch off with multiple vibes in order not to run them hot all the time. They are inexpensive enough to have several on hand.

It is also fun to have one for each hand - the ladies like that quite a bit. I am thinking about designing a setup with several of these, just for the fun of it.......

There used to be a number of third-party attachments available for erotic use, but lately I have only been able to find one, which is often included in the promotion section of this product's Amazon page. I will deal in more depth with the erotic uses of this vibe in the review of that attachment.

I find that even a strong vibe like this is not enough to take me "to the heights," but will certainly help maintain a fairly constant state of arousal which can go on for hours. This is quite useful for energy and meditation techniques which utilize erotic energy, as it allows one to achieve higher states of arousal without expending large amounts of energy and attention on physical manipulation. (Saves on repetitive stress, as well.) I am experimenting with it in a couple of different practices in that regard. Of course, there is also the element of the strong electromagnetic field generated by the motor to consider, but that energy can be transmuted.

I have used this style of vibe from this manufacturer for decades, and the quality seems to hold up over long periods of time. If you are in the market for a vibe for regular or erotic purposes, this is well worth considering for the purposes I mention above.

Multi-Purpose Use!!!!!! - PSN on Dec 16, 2010

This is a multipurpose device - a good massager and a great vibrator!! Comes with two settings. In my opinion, the lower setting is not strong enough and so is hardly used. When pressed down hard on large muscle mass for a deeper massage, there is a horribly loud noise that can be heard, possibly due to rattling against the casing. However, this doesn't bother us too much as we don't mind anyone knowing that mommy is getting a massage for her aching back. It does provide a good massage. When used as a vibrator, it is reasonably quiet and works astonishingly well with the spot applicator. The bulky and awkward looking shape in NO way hinders this function. The ability to plug it in is so convenient (invest in a extension cord)- everybody thinks you use this for massaging muscles anyway!!. There is no need to fuss about with batteries or waning vibrations as batteries start to run out. Bought it about a year ago and still going strong. Double thumbs up for this product.

One Of The Best Purchases I Have EVER Made! - Theresa on Aug 4, 2010

This product is Fantastic! I bought it for lower back pain, but I have found multiple uses for it! The massage is intense and seriously hit's the spot. It really helps my back more than the the $200 homedics chair-top back massager that i bought a few weeks ago. I've also found that it helps reduce wrist pain! Im an artist, and when my wrists start to cramp, nothing has ever been able to help, but if i hold the massager on my wrists for a few minutes each, the pain simply MELTS away! This product is also PERFECT for more "adult" type stimulation. By far one of the best investments I have made in a LONG time. enjoy!

Not Good For Deep Tissue - Michael Vigilante on Apr 11, 2009

Like another reviewer said, this is not as robust as the older model - as usual things get made more cheaply as time goes on. For a thickly muscled person that wants to work out deep knots, go for a more robust percussion massager. This unit does not have the intensity nor power for much more than surface stimulation. If you apply any pressure at all, the unit begins to clatter. A little more pressure and the motor binds completely. One more design flaw, the switch is at the finger grip, and just a slight squeeze can move the switch enough to cut the power - can be very frustrating. Major design oversight that just adds to the disappointment in this one. Only redeeming thing was the myriad of attachments but quality is still lacking. I wish I could rate this one higher, but you get what you pay for in this case.

Love It Forever! - Suthrnbelle "asuthrn on Oct 4, 2011

All I have to say is : YYES, YES, OH YESSS!! Great product. Will definitely use this product, will buy again in the future when necessary. Great for sore muscles and everrrrrrything else.

Absolutely Perfect!!!! - Sweet Pea on Mar 3, 2011

This massager is a dream. It is very quiet, the cord is long enough, and all the attachments are heavenly. I tried all the attachments on all parts of my body and it felt divine. I especially love the one for the scalp. If you are going to use it for pleasuring yourself, it is sweet!!!! Highly recommend. At this price buy one for yourself and two of your best friends and get free shipping. Enjoy.

Not As Solid As The Previous Model - rskcak "rskcak" on Jun 28, 2007

Unlike my previous Wahl model, which is no longer available, this massager makes a loud noise when applying firm pressure into a sore muscle. A muscle massage is supposed to be relaxing but this noise ensures that the experience is not as pleasant.

Great For The Feet. - Rick L. Stevens on Feb 12, 2010

I just got this a little while ago and wow does it ever do the trick. My feet feel wonderful. I have diabetes and this is exactly what I needed. On high speed this baby really rattles the feet. It's very powerful unless you try the low setting which is a bit wimpy. It needs a couple settings in between but I prefer to leave it on high to get a really deep massage. It does tend to tickle my feet on the bottoms a bit but that's fine. This little device will serve it's purpose in many ways. Did I mention that it's quiet too? It is contrary to what some reviewers have said. Buy it!! It will give you some really good vibes.

My Favorite Stress Buster - R.Wheeler on Oct 29, 2011

So much cheaper than the hibachi wand, and in my opinion, feels 100 times better than it. I've had both, this one is by far my favorite.

Good Vibrations - The Beach Boys Would Be Proud - Ariel Fisher "Mermai on Sep 14, 2011

FINALLY - a massager where the HIGH setting makes your teeth rattle, as close to a jackhammer as I have found yet. I've tried dozens of different models, including many that cost a lot more and have multiple speed settings, not just 2. This one is by FAR the BEST bang for the buck. Great attachments are included as well.
The attachments alone are worth what i paid in total.
The instructions are truly amusing - they give directions for all sorts of G-rated purposes, foot massages and such. As if anyone REALLY cares about that stuff:)
And then, the attachment which is obviously most well suited to a very fun spot is labelled as "GENERAL PURPOSE". It made me laugh, it made my teeth rattle - what more can you ask for under $17 delivered?
The power cord is a nice length - not too short and seems fairly durable.
It is a bit noisy, bear that in mind if privacy is limited in your boudoir.
Crank up the stereo first, then see if you can shake a few fillings loose...

SAD Wahl!!! - NP "dogiluv" on Oct 2, 2011

Update: Kept it and it is OK, getting better or maybe I'm getting used to the lower speed.

I have used the Wahl massagers for 30 years now. This is my third one. Each has lasted over 15 years and has been beyond wonderful...BUT this one is awful. Like many reviews have mentioned...the slow speed is really LOW and the fast is too intense. The size is too large and the color is an ugly gray. So overall, I'm very disappointed and may return it =

LOVEITLOVEITLOVEIT!! - meohmy on Sep 9, 2011

This is the best little massager I have ever owned. Quiet and powerful. Gets the job done if you know what I mean. Love it!!

Pretty Awesome - Royal M on Aug 9, 2011

So I read at least 100 of the reviews (both good and bad) and I must say that the people who were recommending this were right. I read reviews were people weren't sure which attachment did what, the massager was too noisy, the speeds were too weak, etc. I found a manual in my box that had pictures of the attachments with a description. I don't know what massager some of these people were using but it could not be this massager from Wahl. The only downsides are the length of the handle and there are only two speeds (but I'm not really complaining about that). I suffer from chronic body pain and migraines and this thing is truly amazing.

A Very Good Massager And Very Quiet - book addict on Jul 22, 2011

It's got a very powerful focused vibration and it can be used in an apartment without possibly disturbing others. This gives it an advantage over the more powerful albeit noisy Hitachi Magic Wand.

Love It! - Bonham Carter on Jul 6, 2011

My husband and I love using this all-body massager. It helps a lot and it does work well. I just wish it has a medium setting and not just high & low.

Fantastic! - David J. Huber "Addi on Sep 7, 2007

As other reviewers have pointed out, it IS heavy. But, that does help keep it centered on the muscles being massaged and not bouncing around willy nilly.

This does wonderful work on my feet. It's very soothing on the temple. And it can really dig into the shoulder muscles.

It's solidly made, too. Feels like a real quality piece of work.

Fantastic!

Can't Beat The Price Or The Wow Factor - beckwi on Jul 26, 2011

I had a similar "massager" for years, that I paid 4 times as much for.... I loved it, but it was showing its age, and would glow in the dark, and the cord was beginning to fray, so I figured it was time to get something new before I electrocuted myself.
A friend recommended the Hitachi magic wand, but I can't see spending that much, so when I found this one, and it had some very interesting reviews, I figured it can't hurt to try---- OMG... this little baby is so much better than my old one. I figured they were all pretty much the same, but I was so. very. wrong.
If you are debating on whether or not to get it, don't hesitate... the sooner you order this little guy, the better "off" you will be LOL

The ONLY bad part of this toy is the weight... its much heavier than it looks.

OMG ! - Violet 55 on May 26, 2010

Good thing I had the entire day off !! Read reviews that it was loud, not true. Read that low was too weak and high too strong, Not true. ( careful with that high one though, you think your turning it off and whoa !)

Two Cycles_Too Gentle & Then Bruising Pounding - wileeeb on Sep 12, 2009

Sept 09. Ordered recently, disappointed for a few reasons. (1) Speeds - 1st cycle (slow speed) was too slow. For me, it was not effective as a personal massager. (similar to a battery that is kind of dying). 2nd cycle (not faster, instead, it changes to bruising pounding). (2) Noise levels: 1st cycle was quiet. 2nd cycle (lets everyone in the apt hear you; so loud it was embarrassing -(sounds like a mini street jack hammer). (3) Weight: Unfortunately, my previous electric massager from Doc Johnson died after a few years. (Unable to find a replacement, in stock.) The WAHL massager is heavy. Each time I attempted to use it as a personal massager, my hand/wrist was sore. Overall, no satisfaction. (Before this, based upon personal experience, I thought all personal electric massage appliances were equally effective.)

Tough Enough For Pains, Gentle Enough To Relax - Susie Ann on Nov 15, 2011

I bought this product 5 months ago for my parents who work 12-14 hours a day doing strenuous labor. They have aches and pains in their hands, back and legs. After seeing the great reviews for this product, I gave it a try to see if this would help relieve the pain. It's super cheap too, under $20! They've been using it everyday, absolutely love it. One of the few gifts my parents actually like!

There are 5 different attachments that you can use. My parents use the small round one like a spot treatment to target the pressure. The wedge shape one is great for back & larger areas of the body. There's also one that's like a comb that feels great on the head.

Even though it's small and cheap, the high mode was intense enough for their extreme body pains. My dad had tried on a personal massager from Brookstone that was triple the price and over a foot long in size. This Wahl massager is just as effective (with even more attachments) at a fraction of the price & size.

I use the light mode on myself as a relaxing massage. So this product is perfect for relaxing & for deep massage relief.

Compact, Powerful And Effective - Doak M. Wattigney on Jul 12, 2011

Much better than the similar but anemic Conair model.
Cannot be beat at anywhere near the price.
Highly recommended!

Pleasantly Surprised - Paul D. Shepherd on Oct 6, 2010

I was surprised how well this little massager worked. I have some pain in my leg along the sciatic nerve. This massager works to relax the muscle and lessen the annoyance/pain. Not industrial strength like the one my chiropractor uses, but it does the job nicely.

Massage Power Tool! - 1Sunbum on Jun 10, 2010

I think the high setting is really powerful, like some kind of power tool or something. Very effective for a deep massage. The low speed setting is very mild, a lot like the low setting on Conair massager I also have. It does get a bit warm with extended use, but so did every massager I've ever had. Good variety of attachments and I particularly like the 9ft long power cord. Compared to the Conair, it's physically larger and heavier; that might be a concern for some (e.g., with arthritis in the hands) who could have difficulty holding things. Overall, I'm very satisfied with it especially for the price. Now, if Wahl only made it with a continuously variable speed control, like some power tools have, instead of just the two speed switch.....

Can't Go Wrong With Wahl Products - Renny Wilson "sensib on Jun 8, 2010

Living with a chronic disease that affects the muscles is easier with tools like the Wahl massager. It works out tightness and stress, leaving me relaxed and reduces the pain. I've tried Conair and was very disappointed in their products, so I am sticking to Wahl. I love this product!

No Complaints - Bac66 on Jan 27, 2010

I have been using this product for almost a year, and I have no complaints. Wahl's all body massager comes with seven attachments to customize massage for different parts of the body. I usually end up using the attachment for head massage (which feels great on the ass too!). You can use this massager at two speeds. Initially, I only used the lower setting because the higher setting felt too strong. Now I am used to getting massages, and the lower setting doesn't do the trick. The massager is quite heavy, which is good because it puts more pressure on the target area. However, your hand can get tired due to the weight. Nothing can compare with having another live person give you a massage, but if you can't afford that (or you're too shy to go for a massage), then this product is the second best option.

A Bit Tame - Jim Bechtold on Jul 2, 2009

We replaced an older model of this same massager with this new one, and, although it is quieter, it is also less powerful, if that's the word. The old one would take a charley-horse and shake it to death. This one just doesn't have quite as much power.

Excellent! - Emily S. Buchanan "w on Sep 12, 2008

I bought an item similar to this at Walmart (Conair) and was very disappointed in how little power it had. This Wahl massager has much more power for really getting in the knots on my back. Highly recommend!

Better Than The One I Had In The 70s - Terri on Mar 6, 2010

Now that I'm much older, I have other needs for this type of massager and it works well. Enough said!

OLD RELIABLE - John McNamara on Nov 20, 2011

Have used these Wahl Massagers for years and years. They have proved reliable and of good quality. "Old Reliable", as I said. With some ingenuity, the tips included can be adapted to do lots of things. Use your imagination.

Great Massager - Pei on Oct 7, 2011

It's nice that it's plugged in rather than battery run-- the cord is quite long as well. There are a few different heads, for different purposes.

Not Very Powerful - genie303 on Oct 2, 2011

I originally purchased this massager about 3 months ago to loosen knots in my shoulders. I am disappointed with it and it has been sitting on my shelf not getting much use. The massager is not very powerful at all, and the lower setting is pretty much useless. I also purchased the Prosepra dolphin massager for my parents around the same time I purchased the Wahl massager for myself, and they love their dolphin massager. I have tried it and it is SO much more effective in loosening up my shoulder muscles. I wish I had bought that one for myself too instead.

Can't Believe How Well This Works!!!!!!!! - Boomaladdy "slickchi on Sep 22, 2011

I just tried this and I LOVE it!!!! I can't believe how well it works. Because of my job I have pain in my legs and upper back. The spot applicator is great for hitting the trigger spot in my back. I also liked it for my legs, just be careful not to go over any bones: The deep muscle stimulator really works well for these areas as well. All the attachments, except the scalp stimulator, work best on high.
They all work good for the feet, except for the knuckle , and facial attachment. The only attachment I don't see much use for is the knuckle one. Well worth the money!!!! Massages are great but are expensive and this will help cut back on those trips.

Works Well. - Amer Bedi on Jul 13, 2011

Works really well. Comes with several attachments. Extremenly well priced. Out performes some very expensive Massagers. Don't think twice, Buy it!

Loved It !! - P. Bhatt on Jul 6, 2011

The product is very useful with 10 different attachments for various parts of the body. I gifted it to my father for his neck and back massage. He loves the product.

NICE! - Shee on Jul 5, 2011

just got this today! i tried the "facial"attachment, i must say it felt good... have not used the other attachments yet...but i like it the handle is very light and it doesnt make loud noise...

oh thanks for shipping it fast!..

Good Impression So Far - powerop on Jun 22, 2011

UPDATED 7/1/11:

Okay so I've had it for more than 2 weeks using it as much as I can. I went on a 5 hour hike through Point Lobos Reserve in California and didn't use the massager until late that night. Let me tell you it feels real good on sore muscles..it may take some careful maneuvering at the high setting but eventually my tense and sore feet and calves were able to handle the powerful vibrations. There's no getting around needing lotion or massage oil on bare skin...the rubber attachments do not glide easily (perhaps double the massager effectiveness by using camphor oil or icy-hot). The next morning my legs were easily much less sore than I expected them to be. By the way, the 9 feet cord is perfect length even during my stays at random hotels. I do need to mention though that the massager did get hot after about 30min of continuous use.. not to the point of burning my hands but to the point where I was worried about the longevity of my awesome massager. Bottom line, this is a fantastic deal on a product that should last you years of satisfaction, and, its beginning to be the only product I think about whenever my muscles are sore instead of over-the-counter medicine or topical lotions like icy-hot.

ORIGINAL ========================
First of all, its quiet..like a low, deep "hmmmm" sound. The low speed setting feels underpowered for a massage, definitely not a deep massage feel, but some ladies might find a use for it ;). The high setting feels so much better for tense shoulder and back muscles. It vibrates stronger (not faster) at a more deeper throw cycle compared to the low setting, which by the way feels like an electric hair clipper.

The body feels solid, but I can twist it and it does flex a little. Nicely sculpted at the head (dimple-like indents) for easier hand grip when you need to hold it there. I like the angled-head for reaching the back compared to the magic wand massager. Attachments look like hard plastic but they are really semi-hard rubber - they do flex but provides ample pressure. I agree that the attachments rub your skin too hard without some kind of lotion or massage oil (over clothing is okay).

For the price, 5-stars.
