I found several comments online that VapoRub is effective against toenail fungus. No irritation to toes after two weeks. Time will tell.

Part of what I read was "...In summary, all of these three ingredients possess toenail fungus Vicks treatment's potential power in fighting the fungal infection. But there are no clinical basis to prove that these three are antifungal agents.(ME-Would you be able to patent it if you did?) Studying them individually help in arriving to the conclusion of Vicks' usefulness in the infection. Their common properties are analgesic, antiseptic, preservation and hastens the healing of wounds and minor scratches." I found plenty more online about it.

Also a nice deodorant for the feet as well as an emergency deodorant if not overdone.

I can use it as intended too, so is multi use.

I have not found anywhere that offers a better buy on this stuff than amazon. 2 (6 oz.) jars for $25 with no shipping is such a great deal. At my local CVS store, you can only purchase about half this amount for $25. I use it on my feet after a long day at work. My husband and I also use it when we have colds,to loosen up chest congestion. Love this!

Both my wife and I grew up with our parents giving us a Vicks' rub when we were sick. Now that we have our own kids, we still using the same product. It gives them comfort from seasonal sicknesses. It helps them sleep better when their chest are congested. It also works great to rub it to their feet. Sometimes my wife put dab a little bit of it around her eyes, she says it helps her to sleep :)

I have tried cheaper generics from groceries but they don't work as well. They seem to be less concentrated and not much soothing vapor.

I've only seen the Vicks cream in stores. It's not as potent as the old rub I remembered. This stuff is the real McCoy--just like when I was a kid.

I rub this ointment on my forehead whenever I have a migraine headache and it soothes my headache away. The vapors are strong and clears my sinuses as well as alleviate my sore throat.

I have always used it for colds. I am older and have gotten some severe nail fungus on one of my toes and several fingers, especially one was absolutely disgusting. I looked at the articles online and started using this. My toenail and all except the worst one have been healed. The worst nail turned white and soft and peeled. I am now growing a normal nail. I use this several times a day. I will continue to use this on my nails at least once a day to prevent further infections. And of course when I have colds.
