Best Lancet My Dad Has Ever Used! - makalive45 on Jul 23, 2010

My father has had type 2 diabetes for about 10 years now and he's tried pretty much every lancet under the sun. Although he became accustomed to the pain from the needles over time, I can definitely see how they have taken a toll on his body. His fingertips started to become calloused and raw from the length and thickness of the lancets he was using -- especially ones from BD (he used the "Ultra Fine" ones for a few weeks and within that period, his fingertips became so abnormally calloused that my dad stopped using them immediately).

A few months ago, I googled for more information on diabetes, and I read a messageboard on these new Tiniboy lancets that were supposedly the thinnest and most painless lancets on the market. First, I was a little wary of the name because it sounds like it's for children and I had my doubts that it would be strong enough for my 58 year old dad. After going on their website and doing a little more research, I decided just to order a box so that my dad could try them out. All I have to say is: WOW. My dad actually called me while I was at work to thank me for them, because he'd never used lancets before that were as comfortable to use as Tiniboy's. He said that the blood that he got from each draw was just as sufficient as all the other brands he's tried, but that it didn't leave any marks and he pretty much felt no pain. I tested it out of curiosity and it felt like a gentle pinch.

We just bought another box and I'm pretty sure that we'll never have to try any other brands again.

By Far The Most Painless Lancet Ever!!!! - Jason Yang on Jul 23, 2010

When I first got these, I couldn't even see the needle without my glasses. I didn't believe that these would produce any blood from my calloused fingers. Boy, was I wrong. These produced more than enough blood, and I didn't even feel a thing! I'm only using my Tiniboy's from now on.

No Pain Lancet - gentledog on Jul 25, 2010

After Pelikan Sun was discontinued, I have not checked my blood sugar levels as often as I should because all other lancets were painful.
Since I found this lancet I check my sugar levels at least 2-3 times a day. My diabetes has been much under control as I am more careful with my diet when the sugar levels are up.
I thank Tiniboy for making my daily finger pricks so easy and painless.

No More Bruises - G. Turner on Oct 24, 2010

I ordered the tiniBoy lancets after reading David Mendosa's blog post about them [...]. Since switching over to these, my fingertips are not full of noticeable holes and are not bruising anymore. My fingertips also stop bleeding immediately. The only thing I've had to adjust from traditional lancets is that sometimes I need to work my finger to get enough blood to fill the test strip. I will continue buying these from now on.

Love These Lancets! - Laura on Sep 7, 2010

My son with Type 1 loves these. He's 12 and says he can't even feel the poke. His fingers do not get sore like they did with the other lancets the doctor prescribes. Our doctor didn't even know about these. We have to turn up the lancet device to 6 or 7 to get a good sample, but he says he can't even feel it. No more flinching. I highly recommend these!!

Great Lancet! - teach130 on May 23, 2011

My 7 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with Juvenille diabetes. We test her 10-15 times each day and night. Anything I can do as a parent to lessen the discomfort she feels with this disease is a gift. Occasionally I will have to use more than 1 tiniboy because the first attempt doesn't draw blood, but because it doesn't hurt her, she doesn't care. I do suggest getting a meter that uses a small sample size as we were not able to draw enough blood to use our One Touch meter with these. However, when we switched to the Free Style Lite we had no problems. Please note these lancets WILL NOT fit into the One Touch Delica lancet. We use the lancet that comes with the Free Style Lite. I increase the depth to "4" as these needles are so tiny. Hope this helps!

Very Little Pain - Joseph M. Lilly on Mar 22, 2011

These really don't hurt much at all. Only issue so far is occasionally I can't get enough blood for a test, but re-lancing at another site always works. Great product!
