On the advice of my physical therapist, I bought the Theracane. Despite the odd shape, Theracane is amazing! You have the control to target knotted muscles spot on. I have shown it to friends and they are buying one too. If you have body aches, this is the gadget for you.

My massage therapist recommended this Theracane to me because of my chronic back problems. It came with a few instructions, but to get the whole thing you have to spend an additional $6 for the DVD instructions. Why would the instructions be sold separately? I have managed to get by so far. It's just seems wrong to pay additional money for the demonstration instructions.

I bought this hoping it would reach spots in my sore neck and shoulders. I have fibromyalgia and the tender points between and underneath the shoulder blades are awful. This is a well crafted product. I had seen a similar "s" shaped plastic massager a few months ago and after researching them I am glad I purchased the Theracane instead. It is solidly made and does not feel flimsy. The multiple knobs and balls allow you to easily reach almost any sore spot. It even does a nice foot massage. It comes with a small paper instruction booklet and once you figure out where to put it for the best pressure on the sore spots its a snap. I do agree with the booklet and a couple of previous reviews though. Even if it "hurts so good" go easy on using it at first. It will release lots of the muscle tension and pain but you may have soreness in the area the following day. That might just be a fibro thing but it is mentioned in the instructions. Overall, I am very happy I purchased this item and I would recommend it highly.

I found the Thera-Cane to be an excellent tool for relief of neck, shoulder and back pain. It took me a little bit of time to learn to use it correctly. The manual provides good instruction and with some patience and practice, I am having great success with it. It does release trigger points and it is not difficult to use.

The Theracane is a wonderful tool to reach trigger points. It works well for the hard to reach areas. The trigger point therapy workbook also helps alot to show you where the trigger points are located.

My Physical Therapist recommended this to me to be able to teach the sore knots on my back and neck I couldnt reach. It's amazing! It gives you the ability to reach and put pressure on all the sore places you can't get to by yourself. It has really helped! I would recommend it to everyone!

Effective Self Treatment - Lynn Galbraith on Aug 30, 2011 I Like

I've purchase 2 - one for my family - and one for a good friend who has chronic shoulder and low back pain (he tried mine and had to have one). I saw this item in the Trigger Therapy Workbook by Clair Davis (sp?) which I purchased on Amazon (3 of them - 1 for my med school son - 1 for my massage therapist - and one for me). I saw this item in the book used for the trigger points for foot pain (I have genetic defects in my feet and they will ache unbearably). I bought it to be able to treat those points for my foot pain. But having it - I couldn't get over how easy to use it is - I use it for shoulder pain - low back pain - trigger points in my butt. You control your own therapy - too much pressure - you relax it - not enough - or - you're close to the spot - but not quite on it - you move it. I love this cane. My oldest daughter was in a high speed rear end collision and suffered whiplash. She has said - I don't know if I could have managed my pain without the relief of the trigger point therapy I gave myself. I have purchased other products (foam rollers, etc) - but prefer this a hundred times. If you're someone with chronic pain and can deal with "deeper" tissue massages - I would so recommend you purchase this product.

I have been using a Theracane for years. It's a life saver. I work on a computer hours and hours every day, resulting in tension in neck and shoulders; this product travels everywhere I do. If you have muscle pain, kinks in your neck, pain between your shoulders, this is for you!

With Theracane you do not need to have someone who can put pressure on the painful area, Theracane allows you to works the kinks out by yourself! There are various "points" on the Theracane that allows you to apply pressure to "trigger points" all over your body.

This recent purchase was for my sons, one does construction and one does solar installations. So, mom has repetitive motion pain points, the boys have physical labor aches and pains, and Theracane takes care of us all! I even take Theracane to work with me when I am working on a conversion or upgrade (they are usually all-nighters) and I share my Theracane with the whole team. Everyone loves it once they've tried it!

You do need to take the time to get used to how you apply pressure, almost everyone tries to use it like a back scratcher at first. :) Leverage is key!

This cane is great for mucsle spasms which cannot be reached alone. You can place it right on the muscle and you can control how much pressure is put on the spot. I use it daily to help ease pain and spasms.

This is a GREAT tool. If your back hurts in that hard to reach area or you just need an easy way to apply pressure to wrist, legs even the bottoms of your feet. This was 1 of the best things I've bought ever. In fact I'm going to stop writing this review so I can pick up my Thera-cane and use it!

I use this product for migraine prevention, specifically to areas of the head, neck and back. It has been very useful to me in my migraine treatment plan.
I found the information I received from physical therapy and from "The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook" Second Edition by Clair Davies & Amber Davies extremely helpful; the instructional DVD was NOT helpful at all. I highly recommend "The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook" for additional information for your specific needs!
