Surprisingly Awesome Gift! - N. S. Finley on Jun 27, 2011

Soooo.....we actually received this gift from my brother in law for the baby shower, and at the time, I remember thinking, "seriously? how boring...and how very cheap of you (I had no idea of the cost at the time)." I just figured this was one of those kits you see at Target...you know, the ones on the endcap in the pharmacy that contain like 15 bandaids, either too small to be useful or too big to use unless you did some serious damage, in which case you probably require professional medical attention, and a tube of generic neosporin. I tucked this away in our bathroom and never took it out..until I started my adventure making all of my own babyfood (and once in awhile adult fare). I should mention, I am NOT a cook, nor am I at all graceful...and that combination spells disaster in the kitchen. I cannot explain to you the times that this kit has saved my poor little hands when I needed it, with the appropriately sized bandage, and antibacterial cream. Oh, and when I broke my little toe this week on the edge of the coffee table? Surprise! Medical tape is right there in the kit...something I would NEVER buy until I needed it. And I do feel a little better having things that I would never, ever go out of my way to buy (such as the rescue blanket) around in case of emergency....and so I don't look like a totally neglectful parent. :)

So, long story short, this kit is now mounted in our bathroom (although I should probably relocate it to the kitchen, seeing as I am the one who utilizes it the most..ha!). After pricing out refills at target, I'm probably better off replacing the kit, as I have two boys at home (my son, and my rough and tumble husband) who will undoubtedly need that save a tooth feature sooner or later...sigh. Overall..bravo, brother in law..you actually bought an amazingly useful gift (it pains me to admit this to him...you have no idea).

This was one of the most useful gifts I have received in a long time, and I want everyone to know how important it is to have the Save-A-Tooth feature. My friends were horsing around and one of their teeth got knocked loose after they fell on the ground. The Save-A-Tooth kit actually DID save his tooth. People rarely realize how important it is to have dental first aid too.

Also, during a cooking session this kit saved my hand once again. It comes with burn cream and bandages. Everything is easy to find, and also is totally sterile. It's hard to have a mess post-use with everything so beautifully contained in the kit. I bring it with me everywhere I go.

P.S - the glowstick is excellent for road emergencies!

I actually like the band-aids way better than the Johnson and Johnson brand because they don't leave a sticky residue behind. Definitely a good buy!

This first aid kit is a terrific value - the only one I've seen that includes something to hold a tooth that gets knocked out so it can be reimplanted - which is one of those things that you hope you never need, but if you do, it's nice to have. And if you bought just that item separately, it would be more than half the cost of the entire first aid kit!

Purchased this first aid kit through Amazon, no complaint there as usual. I have no complaints about the kit, as it has everything to include Save-A-Tooth. There are a lot of other first aid kits available on the market, much cheaper and minus the Save-A-Tooth portion that make them or the idea of purchasing kit for whatever reason more appealing. So I purchased this because of all of the hype from the reviews. I think $25.00, plus shipping is a bit much. As one reviewer previously stated, Advil or some other pain medicine probably will need to be added. Because of the price, plus shipping, I had to give it a 4 star rating. The kit was purchased for my vehicle. Since everyone else gave a bit more insight to the kits composition, this review focused on the price and shipping versus others that are available at other local retailers for budget shoppers at a fraction of the cost.

I own a small personal training facility here in NYC. We go through a first aid kit once or twice a year. This thing is really the best one I have seen. I would buy it again and would recommend it to family. If you fear having to treat something slightly serious this first aid kit could use a bit more gauze and or an ACE bandage but for $25 you cant beat it. If it's going into a car you could quite possibly be pulling it out for a serious vehicle accident. Adding in a C.A.T tourniquet and/or some quick clot might be advised if you have the training ( I do as I am former army paratrooper).

The 'save a tooth' is GENIUS!!! That component really separates this from the rest. It also for some reason includes a glow stick in case you are headed out to a rave or are without ample light for putting on a bandaid.

However my favorite reason I like this is the simple fact that IT IS MADE IN THE USA! That means the included products are of substantially higher quality than the cheapo's i.e band aids that stay stuck (the cheap ones fall right off) and other components which just make me wonder how the hell it is only $25. The case it comes in is nice and everything stores up neatly.
Look no further, for a household or small business kit this one is spot on.

I am the trainer of a little soccer team. After some research I found this first aid kit. It's really cheap (I think) so I ordered it without too much thinking about it.

What really makes it useful for me is that it includes a system for saving knocked out teeth. It is well manufactured and of high quality. Everything is individually boxed to keep things in order and clean. It states that the case is waterproof (which is useful out on the field)!
And I like the fact that it is 100% made in the USA.

I have it in my car every time! And It's definitely worth it. (also I hope I dont have to use it)!

I got this first aid kit a few months ago and I love it! I initially go it because of the save-a-tooth, but the rest of the kit turned out to be pretty good too. The band aids are wider than the Johnson and Johnson brand, so I feel like my cuts are fully covered. The cold pack came in handy too when I got burned on the stove. It was a lot cleaner than using ice. Like other reviewers posted, it is a very clean kit. Putting band aids back into the boxes is a snap. Everything has its place. The case its self is sturdy too. I was a little disappointed that there was only one cold pack and no way to get a refill. The first aid instructions were also minimal. It would be nice to have a little bit more information, especially on burns. Aside from that, I am very pleased. If you don't have one, get one. You never know when you will need it!

I bought this kit after seeing the good reviews, and I was not disappointed! The first thing I noticed when I opened the case was that everything has it's own box. This was a big improvement over the last kit I bought on Amazon where stuff fell out when I opened it. The content is pretty basic, it has a little bit of everything. But it also has a few select items that you would not expect to find in cheaper kits, like the glow stick, instant cold pack, and the Save-A-Tooth. The box was unusually sturdy as well. I'll probably keep the box to store letters when I'm finished with it. Overall it's a great kit. Highly recommended!

I purchased this kit feeling that the one I had at home wasn't really good enough. This one is great as it contains everything I need and more. The 'save-a-tooth' device is a great comfort for because, I frequently have accidents with my teeth, having an aid for this at home is a big reassurance. The seal of approval from the ADA gives me confidence that the `Save-a-tooth' device really does work even though I have not yet needed it. I have 7 kids, so it has always been important for me to have antiseptic and band aids with me at all times! I usually carried these items in a plastic baggie for months and by the time I needed them, the band aids had been opened or the neosporin leaked out.
