First-rate Successor To 'classic' Teva Sandal - In Vino Veritas on May 11, 2010

Terra Fi 3 is a first-rate successor to the 'classic' Teva sandal. Fit and comfort are excellent from first use, and, unlike the flimsier Hurricane model, footbed construction is comparable to the classic Teva. Footbed improvements include more-upturned heel cup in back, and 'shock-pad' directly under heel for added support; after a month of wear, I like both. I wear my Teva's all day, every day from April thru November, and wish every shoe I bought was this comfortable and functional. Just bought a second pair for beach/biking/whatever.

Step Down From Terra Fi 2 - S. Paul on Jul 19, 2011

****THE RATING OF THIS PRODUCT IS INFLATED****
--It seems that amazon removed the last Terra Fi 3 product and then imported select reviews to the new Terra Fi 3 listing. I just noticed when looking back on my original review that it no longer existed and neither was there a link to the product. Fortunately my review history still had the product so I just cut and pasted the last review I made -- you can verify by looking at my reviews. Lesson learned -- amazon reviews are not necessarily trust worthy.

REVIEW
I had a pair of Terra Fi 2 sandals for the past 8 years, they were wonderful. When I saw some Terra Fi 3's for sale for ~$35 from sierra trading post I jumped on it even though my TF2's still have some life in them.

What a dissappointment -- don't get me wrong, they were worth every penny of $35, but they are a let down after the great quality of the TF2's.

Pros
The foot bed is an improvement from the TF2

Cons
1. Shock pad is a nuisance, it doesn't add anything, just feels like some extra dense , less giving material under my heel -- thanks but I would rather something softer under my heel.

2. There is less padding layer between the straps and your foot as compared to the TF2 -- this makes the TF3 a bit less comfortable.

Bottom line -- I would reccomend if you can get them on sale, otherwise, I would pass.

New Models Aren't Always Better... - Ultrabrite on May 8, 2011

I was hoping to replace my old Teva Terra Fi (SN 6673). But the new version Terra Fi 3 was a huge disappointment.
The harder sole (due to the ShocPad) and the new (not as comfortable) footbed made me look elsewhere.

Teva, please give us the original Terra Fi back!

Great Sandal! - Mary J. Laboudy on Mar 29, 2010

I have had trouble with support with many shoes. This is one great sandal that does have support and is true to size.

Great Sandal - LP on Aug 1, 2011

well after my 1st pair of Tevas lasting only 15yrs, i broke down & got a new pair... yes, i know these sandals are pricey but if they hold up anything like the last pair, its really a bargain. i wear sandals the most part of 3 seasons a year, daily walking, vacations, camping/hiking in the river, lake, ocean, any & everywhere. these new Terra Fi 3's have got all the latest upgrades... 1st off the strap system is the best out there, don't get me wrong, i like my Keen's a lot, but i enjoy the feel of the Teva's even more. 2nd they have this shock pad system that is a great enhancement over the older tevas. (i read some reviews on how the shock pad was uncomfortable & even causing problems, & after reading further, i found there was a bad few batches from the factory in the beginning of production, but that has all been rectified now according to Teva; & my pair are doing fine. 3rd the foot bed & sole of the sandal are firm, yet its not too firm as to be uncomfortable, another improvement from what i have worn in the past. Finally there is this new spider rubber on the tread... can't really speak good or bad on it because its unnoticeable to me, i haven't slipped yet, so i guess it works.
well its another great sandal from Teva, (what else would you expect). i also have a pr of the Teva Zilch & as my every day sandals; i save these for the more extreme surfaces of hiking, beaches & such.
can't go wrong with a Teva on you foot.

Great Sandals, Great Price, Great Service - parallelidentity "Ma on Sep 19, 2010

Try on all the active sandals you want, price them locally and on line, then buy these at Amazon. They're comfortable, sturdy, and the best looking sandals around. I don't have them very long, so I can't tell you how long they'll last, but they look and feel like they'll last forever. I guess you can tell that I like them.

Comfortable Sandals - DS on May 13, 2010

Though I cringed at paying so much for sandals, after getting a different brand last year that didn't make it through the summer, I thought I'd give these a try. I have had them for about 2 months now and have only worn them a few times. However, I have found them to be extremeley comfortable. The built in support and the cushioning is great. I have also found that they stay on my feet when walking on side hills as well as up and down. I would definately get these again assuming that they last like I expect them to.

Teva Men's Terra Fi 3 Sandal - Ed A on Jan 24, 2012

Being a longtime Teva wearer, I am pleased to say my new sandal is everything I anticipated. The styling, size, color, fit and comfort is right on the money. I purchased the Terra Fi 3 to replace a well worn original waterproof Teva sandal I have been wearing for at least 15 years. I like the water sandal capability, as I rotate it with my leather Teva sandals I use when it is not raining or wet. The Terra Fi 3 is a much improved product from what I am retiring. The straps are more secure and comfortable, as is the foot-bed and arch support. Even though I have not worn it outside yet, I can tell with inside wear and experimentation, it will be perfect. I can't wait for warm sandal weather to arrive in Michigan so I can wear it often.

Teva Sandals - Yitzchak on Nov 30, 2011

Excellent deal, very low price for well made strong sandals. Light weight, comfortable with good grip. Good for everyday and even hiking.

Remove The Shock Pad!! - J. Bridge on Nov 18, 2011

I tried the original Fi 3, then the newer model with a supposedly software shock pad, and they both had the same effect. It feels like you have a stone in your shoe. Why would ANYONE want a shock pad that's harder than the rest of the footbed? Doesn't the heel take the most pressure? This remains the dumbest design idea I've ever seen, and I will never buy another pair of Tevas until the shock pad is completely removed.

Great Product - David Sarti on Nov 4, 2011

Teva make some great shoes, Kind of over priced becouse they are made in china, the quality would demand the price if it were made in the USA but what can I say

Teva's Are The Best - green giant on Nov 4, 2011

I've owned a great many pairs of teva's. Always comfortable, they always perform, and they last... what more needs to be said. Great sandal.

Just What I Was Expecting - Matt on Oct 17, 2011

I've had two pairs of Teva's over the past 10 years and I wear them every single day. They fit my feet perfectly, so when it finally came time to buy my third pair, I wanted them to be just like my old ones. I ordered the same size I owned previously, and when I received the new pair, they fit just like I had hoped. Keep up the good work, Teva!

Review By Long Time Teva Wearer.... - Memnoch "nanoboy" on Oct 6, 2011

I have worn Teva sandals since 1990s. This is my most recent purchase, and I am VERY happy with it.

For one thing, in boots and most shoes, I wear an 11.5 or 12 EE and I have an extremely high instep. So some fittings are problematic, even when sized properly.

These sandals come only in D width, and yet an 11 D fits me perfectly. I have to let the straps out a bit, but they feel great, don't move around when walking, and the quality is every bit as good as the first pair I got 20-some years ago.

Its no wonder Teva is still around after more than 2 decades. They make great products, these sandals included.

Teva Men's Terra Fi 3 - Motardo on Oct 1, 2011

I bought these sandals as a replacement for a 6 year old pair of Tevas. The old pair's sole began to delaminate after 3 years and I glued the soles back on twice, I was not going to do that a third time. These new Teva Terra Fi 3 sandals have fewer separate pieces that make up the sole so I'm hoping that change in construction results in a longer life and fewer delaminations. I've worn them for about a month and so far so good. At first the "Shoe Pad" heel cushion bothered me a little because it was raised above the foot bed but now it has conformed to the shape of my heel and the sandals are very comfortable to wear for extended periods. They are also designed with more arch support than the old pair which is a plus for my feet. At only one month's use I can't speak to the durability but I do find them to be a good value in comfort and design.

A Near Perfect Match For My Cherished 20 Year Old Tevas - Truthsayer "Vox Locu on Oct 1, 2011

I was sad when my ancient but comfortable and water proof Teva's delaminated.

Shoe Goo Glue fixed the old ones Shoe Goo Footwear Adhesive

But it is nice to have a new replacement just in case I actually outlive the old ones.

Excellent Sandals - Diane B Honsaker on Sep 15, 2011

Bought these for my husband and he really likes to wear them. Good for wading or just walking. Highly recommend

Gotta Love 'em! - Richard Berryhill "h on Sep 5, 2011

Used to NEVER wear shoes when I was younger and lived at the beach, even when we moved to the flatlands, and I've worn literally tons of shoes and sandals of every type and design since eventually (after moving to Washington State then to the Bay Area) having to wear shoes almost all the time, and I've never found anything which fits better for my feet and gives so much arch support as the Teva.

This version I like this style because of the extra padding under the strap crossing areas, which keeps my feet from being rubbed sore on the top. And I like the lack of a toe strap, like most flip-flop styles, since sand from beach walking, or dirt from outdoor activities gets under and sandpapers my skin raw.

These things generally last me about five or more years, providing the dog doesn't chew them up, and they withstand constant use, wear, washing, salt water, soap scrubs, and sun the whole time.

Shoc Pad Is Painful - wally bouncy on Sep 4, 2011

The shoc pad is very painful.

The sandals themselves are fine but after some wear the shoc pad starts digging into your foot. Walking in them is painful.

Not Quite As Comfortable As I Expected - Frederick E. Dennste on Aug 29, 2011

The shoes are very nice but my heels don't seem to "seat" well on the shoes heels. It seems that I am not completely centered of the heels.

Good Stuff - chris on Aug 28, 2011

Good Sandals, I have a few of the terra fi II s not much difference in wearing confort.... I would buy them again not question..

Worth It!!! - Roma Mehta "Roma" on Aug 22, 2011

Worth the price you pay for. they fit really well. Please refer to the Teva size chart only, before you order.

Teva Sandels - Rich on Aug 21, 2011

Great sandels at a great price, glad I bought the better ones because they have half sizes for a better fit. They felt good right out of the box I have bought Tevas before and will buy them again.

Comfort Plus Performance - Snac "SooSkiergal" on Aug 16, 2011

My husband loves the Teva line and he just added these to the collection.
True to size, comfy and performs well in any activity he does in them.

Better Than Ever! - Trina Griswold on Aug 9, 2011

I ordered these for my boyfriend because my puppy chewed the Tevas he's had for 6 years and loved. He was skeptical about the new design, but said they are better than ever! He wears them every day and they are his new favorite shoe!

Great Sandal - T. Rainman on Jul 21, 2011

I bought these to replace a pair of Tevas that saw hard use over almost ten years and finally fell apart.

These are a worthy replacement. I saw a number of comments about the heel pad, general comfort, and adjustability, and I honestly can't imagine that these people are reviewing the same product that I bought. My foot fits wonderfully in the sandal, and the first time I had them on, I wore them for a long outing: driving an hour, walking around for about four hours, then drove an hour home. I had no trouble with the heel cap digging into my foot (I even tried several positions to see if I could make it do so), and I had no chafing from the connecting ring (which has a cloth pad under it, and they fit snugly after a couple of tries at adjusting the straps. My only guess is that people are buying them a half size too small.

I'd recommend these to anyone who needs an excellent, durable pair of sport sandals.

Great Sandal, Okay Deal. (is It Just Me, Or Do My Feet Stink These Up?) - A. Carey "Trabajador on Jul 15, 2011

I've been wearing terra fi sandals for years now. The are comfortable, durable, and they provide great traction. I get a new pair each year before traveling through rural Mexico. My journey always includes a very mountainous, rainy area, with slick, steep, rock-paved streets; my tevas always provide sure footing and comfort. My only complaint about these sandals is that after a few days of wear in non-stop rain and heat, the sandals develop an incredibly putrid funk--despite the antimicrobial, odor protection supposedly built in. I've tried various efforts to clean these up so that I can continue to wear them when I return home, but nothing works. I wish they were more funk-resistant.

Beach Tested - kdob on Jul 13, 2011

Ordered these before I went on vacation to Myrtle Beach. They were great in the sand and in the water. Shells were tearing my feet up until I went in with these on. Easy to rinse the sand off and keep clean too. Comfort is also great.

Great Sandals - Roger Lateiner "--Ro on Jul 3, 2011

These are good looking, light weight and durable sandals. They're probably my fifth or sixth pair of Tevas over the last 15 or 20 years. I currently own another pair in a different model, the Tanza. The Tanzas are a little dressier and have a somewhat more comfy sole, though they also have a cushioning under the straps which, at the little toe, has a slight tendency to fold over when you first put them on. The Terra Fi model is simpler, more like the first couple of pairs I bought so many years ago, but the sole is somewhat harder. I also find the styling of the back end of the soles a little over done without apparent reason. Still, they are comfortable and suitable for use with Jeans or shorts, on trail, beach, or city street. As with most Tevas, the three point adjustment system makes it easy to suit the sandals to the peculiarities of your own feet, assuming the soles are your correct size. That reminds me to mention that I have found Tevas to run true to size, so I feel free to order them on line, something I have NOT found to be true for most other brands of shoes, which I have learned only to buy where I can try them on.

Better Than Advertised - JoenMo on Jun 29, 2011

This sandal is as comfortable and versatile as they come. I originally tried the Chaco Yampa but felt it lacked the adjustability and custom fit of the Terra Fi 3. Further, I honestly don't know what all of the complaints regarding the shock pad are about. It's completely unnoticeable and in no way negatively affects the comfort of this sandal for me. Sizing does seem about about 1/2 larger than claimed. Otherwise, the perfect sandal.

NICE! - BG on Jun 26, 2011

These are some of the higher quality teva's, even have the soft pad area for the bottom of the heel

Once Again Best Sandals Ever - briansigloo on Jun 4, 2011

This is probably my 10th or 12th pair of sandals that I have purchased from Teva and I'm thoroughly satisfied once again. The last pair I had was one of the cheaper designs and I was not as happy. Glad I spent the extra money. I know that they are quality and will last me for the next couple of years. I have been buying Teva for twenty years and am a faithful customer and won't even consider another brand. I hope they never stop making them.

Sticks Like 'mud' To A Blanket - Ron Clark on May 23, 2011

TEVA sandals have been around for a while, but don't get better and better. (It's impossible to improve on perfection !!) For use in tropical climates, they are unparalleled. They stick to your feet like proverbial mud to a blanket: they don't flip about, move or slid. When the 3 velcro straps are tightened, the sandal becomes so 'attached' that you can run in them - and climb rocks, trees, steep embankments or the most broken dilapidated asian back-street in safety. They are comfortable too, a contoured platform moulds to your feet when worn. And hygienic - plenty of air circulation, no build-up of bacteria to make smell, wash them in any convenient puddle whilst still attached, and mould doesn't grow on them in a dark cupboard. They last for years and are worth every cent - Ho Chi Minh would have killed for them !

Teva Sandals - Pink Tommy on Apr 29, 2011

I have been purchasing and wearing Teva sandals for over ten years. They are well made and durable. I have never yet had one fall apart. That's an important reason why I keep using them and I do use them for at least 300 days out of the year. A major annoyance with many cheaper brands is that they break which can be quite annoying when one is out and about with only one usable shoe. My only quarm is that they cannot be resoled.

Strong And Comfortable - Aloneshel on Mar 26, 2011

Excellent sandals for those who like to travel in the nature .
They are so soft and comfortable , yet .... Very durable .
From personal experience .... The will travel with you for years

Good Sandal - N. Meehan on Nov 18, 2010

My husband loved these sandals ~ great fit, easy on & off, sturdy. However, the stitching came undone after only 2 months. Granted he wears them a lot, working in the yard, but still (I think) they're too expensive for that to happen.

Very Comfortable - ninga on Nov 5, 2010

i wear it more than 8 hours dialy and i don't fell that i am wearing any thing its very comfortable

Great Sandal - Art Shelly on Oct 29, 2010

I am a novice sandal wearer.I liked the first pair of these so well that I purchased this second pair. The first pair is in very good condition but I'm hard to fit and when I find footware that fits well I usually buy a spare pair.Roomy enough for my 4E feet yet secure feeling, easy to adjust, comfortable. Made a sandal wearer out of me.

Comfortable, Rugged, And A Good Deal - Kevin B. Moore "K" on Oct 4, 2010

Fits well and comfortable. Soles have more grip than older model being replaced. Arch support also improved. The last pair endured hard use for several years. I'm expecting to live with these for a similar extended period.

Hot Damn - E. Posey on Sep 23, 2010

good good love these new teva cant get enough my second pair...

Great Style Great Comfort - Michael Ikeda-chandl on Sep 21, 2010

I'm pleased with this sandal, the comfort is there, the friction pads between the straps and my foot keep away any blisters. The style is awesome, the tread is great too, couldnt ask for a better sandal.

Excellent Product - Len Segal on Sep 13, 2010

This product replaced a pair of Tevas that I wore for many years. They are very good quality and extremely comfortable. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.

Love Teva's. Always Have, Always Will - lionheart_mr504 on Aug 22, 2010

I have had 3 of these sandals, they last about 3-4 years of much use each, and are great in the water. I'm a loyal user of Teva's

Tevas Rock - PDC on Aug 22, 2010

New Teva's replaced my Columbia's that were worn out in the heels. Not sure how they will do on the boat and in wet conditions as the soles are black and could mark up the boat. Testing will prove if they end up being land lubbers or all around foot gear. Teva Velcro straps are stiffer than what Columbia uses so the straps take more adjusments to mold to your ankle. Teva soles are easier to clean but are not as stiff as the Columbia.

Wonderfully Comfortable - lepew352 on Jul 28, 2010

I bought these for my husband, so I can not comment on exactly how they feel. I can tell you that from the second he tried them on, he was in love with them. He said they are the most comfortable sandal he's ever had. I have purchased other 'expensive' sandals for him, but he said that the sole and the arch support on this one is what makes it feel like a tennis shoe, only better. Most of his other sandals are more flat footed, he said he loves the contours of this sole. They look great, too!

Good For Outdoors - Patrick N Reynolds on Jul 27, 2010

I would recommend these Terra Fi-3 sandals to all out doors folk for they dry quickly and are very comfortable, although the inner sole is perhaps a little harder than their predecessors. After some time and wear they probably will begin to smell particularly on hot and humid days, this is not unusual for any rubber sandal and one has to learn they need to be cleaned and washed periodically and this does not hurt any one to do do. The Terra Fi3 is suitable for me, I still claim they are very good for going in and out of water such as rivers and streams frequently.

2nd Pair - morrissp on Jul 15, 2010

I just purchased a second pair of Teva sandals for my Husband. He was decidedly a non-sandal guy, but Teva changed his mind. The customization possible with Teva won him over. These fit his wide feet like a glove. Thank you for the quick shipping and excellent service!

Terra Fi 3's Are AWESOME - Aber K. Daver "Aber on Jul 6, 2010

First off, let me state that I had a pair of the original Teva's that were the predecessor of the Terra Fi's. They lasted me 8 good years, and only broke because my Great Dane puppy stepped on my foot at the park, breaking them! I tried a few other brands, and wasn't thrilled about the reviews for the Terra Fi 2's, so I never bought them. I finally decided to try the 3's, and am so glad I did. They are every bit as good as the original's, and even a bit more comfortable. So far, I do the dog park, mild hiking and lots of beaching it. I would (and do!) recommend these to my friends, and would definitely purchase them again.

Teva Terra Review - Dan "Dan" on Jun 28, 2010

I like that the toe and two ankle straps are velcro adjustable and the sole is structurally significant.

Great Sandals! - DiverDaddy on Jun 25, 2010

These sandals are very comfortable to wear, fit properly to size, are very stable and have great traction.
