PERFECT For High Arched Feet! NOT LOW ARCH - Laura Ferreri on Dec 29, 2010

OK, this will get pretty technical, so bare with me. Just so y'all know my background here, I used to work for a podiatrist as well as for one of the world's largest running stores.

The way the Green Superfeet works is by providing support for someone with a HIGH arch. During the run, a high arch collapses and the green superfeet will actually help hold up the arch during the collapse. If you have LOW arches, do NOT buy this - use the blue superfeet. If you have low arches, this can actually cause plantar fasciitis by causing tension in the plantar facscia. I've seen many reviews saying it's great for low arches, so I wanted to give a heads up.

Now, the one real cool thing about the Superfeet is that they have the hard plastic bottom. This, contrary to what seems logical, is the most healthy shock absorption for your feet. Compare it to running on sand versus running on cement. if you run on sand, your joints work a lot harder, and your body is not able to absorb the shock as well, causing pain. If you run on cement, your subtalar joint won't splay outwards as much, causing the fatty tissue under your foot to take more of the shock. The Superfeet encourages this with a deep heel cup, so it supports your heel, forcing the fatty tissue to cup your heel, creating the best shock absorption ever.

My personal opinion on this? I have it in all my shoes! I own about ten pairs of green Superfeet - they last forever, and the toe is perfectly flexible for a great toe-off during running. There is also a small layer of dense foam between the plastic and where your foot sits, allowing your foot to make it's own "custom mold" into the insole.

Way Too Much Arch - A. Kurth on Nov 4, 2010

I purchased a pair of Superfeet green insoles for my hiking boots. The product seemed to be made very well. The size 11-13 insoles fit perfectly into my size 13 Asolo's. No trimming was necessary.

I found they have way too much foam under the arch for my feet and the contour seemed odd. I'd say my feet have medium arches. I immediately noticed that it felt like there was a lump where the arch support is. This lump wasn't at the center of my foot's arch, but a little farther back between the heel and arch. I found this very annoying and think it would eventually cause pain from the pressure point.

I should have just returned them but attempted to trim away some foam to improve the contour to my feet. This didn't work too well. It's nearly impossible to do this Superfeet insoles because the area I wanted to trim was above the hard plastic bottom shell which is glued very well to the foam.

I would definitely recommend finding a local store that carries Superfeet and other brands of insoles and trying them on. If this isn't an option, I'd recommend starting with one of the other Superfeet colors instead of green even if you have high arches.

Too Hard On The Heels! - K. Moy on Jan 21, 2010

I bought these to use in my Keens for hiking. I used them a couple times and have finally removed them. Just wearing them around the house hurt my feet. The hard plastic was too much for me. The arch support was great, but they needed to soften the bottom of this insert. I normally wear the over priced orthodics that I had custom made by an orthodic shoe store, so I'm used to wearing these things. These SuperFeet however created more pain than they prevented.

Wouldn't Be Without Them! The Greens. - The Purple Bee on Jan 4, 2009

I wear these in my sneakers and in my hiking boots. They help my back from hurting and keep me going when trekking. I have tried all 4 colors and the green ones work best for my feet.
I don't leave home without them!

Can't Recommend Highly Enough - Cody Larson "Cody L" on Jul 3, 2011

I have been using Superfeet greens for years now. I have a pair for every shoe that I wear, they are that important. I have high arches and suffer from plantar faciatis. The first day I tried super feet the plantar faciatis was gone and it has never returned. Buy a pair, you won't regret it.

Bye-bye Shin Splints!! - R. on May 21, 2011

I've pretty much started adding thirty bucks to the price of every pair of shoes I'm thinking of buying, because I'm not willing to ever go without these insoles again. Anyone who's ever had chronic shin splints knows how awful they are, and the built-in arch support in even the best athletic shoes just doesn't cut it for me. Because Superfeet are so firm, they feel a little odd at first, but they hold up a lot better than other types of insoles. If you have a specific problem with your feet, legs, or joints, consider giving these a try - they may solve your problem without requiring an expensive visit to the doctor and custom orthotics. Before I tried Superfeet, I was worried that I was never going to be able to walk or jog for exercise again because it hurt too much. These insoles allow me to actually live like a normal person, which is a huge relief!

A side note - I've found that the blue Superfeet Superfeet Blue Premium Moderate Support Insoles work just as well as these, and that the black ones Superfeet Premium Insoles for Flat and Sensitive Feet are okay but not as supportive. The black ones are very thin and designed to be used in dress shoes, and they are definitely better than nothing.

Great Arch Support For An Affordable Price - Sirinda Sincharoen on Jan 11, 2010

Green Superfeet provide really great arch support. I have flat feet and my arches often ache from walking on hard surfaces or after walking for about 20 minutes. I also ballroom dance a lot (in heels and uncomfortable, poorly supported dance shoes) so I put a lot of pressure, force, and strain on my feet. Green superfeet in my Asics 2140s have really made it possible for my feet to be more painfree. Initially when I used green superfeet, the arch support was a bit to aggressive (hard) for my feet. So, I used blue superfeet in my shoes for a short time. After a couple of weeks, I felt like I needed a bit more arch support, especially after long days of walking so I switched back to green superfeet, and I don't notice the arch support to be too much now. The great thing is that these insoles are really affordable so you can get several different types depending on your shoes and how much support you want that day. They don't provide a lot of cushioning but that's not an issue for me since my Asics provide sufficient cushioning.

Plantar Fasciitis And Superfeet - Jay Joseph "J-Walker on Jul 7, 2011

I walk six miles a day and when I first noticed the onset of plantar fasciitis I was very concerned. After much research and palliative regimens, I sent for a pair of Superfeet based on much praise on Amazon. The first thing I noticed was the firmness as opposed to the softness of the heel cups I had previously ordered.
The insoles felt like golf balls under my arches, but I walked several miles in them and the sensation of hardness gradually subsided. I noticed almost immediate relief of pain under my heel. I made three trips to a physical therapist for treatment, but cancelled my last scheduled appointment. I would attribute my recovery chiefly to the Superfeet insoles. I do spend a lot of time massaging my feet with a roller, a spiky ball and a golf ball. I also do some stretches for the gastrocnemius. I ordered two more pair of Superfeet insoles, so I rate these highly and recommend trying them before buying expensive orthotics. I am back up to my six miles per day walking without heel pain.

Works Well When Paired With The Right Shoes... - Howlinw on Jun 27, 2011

I have the usual types of foot problems that cause people to seek out insoles like Superfeet (plantar fasciitis, shin splits, etc.) and medium arches, one of which has collapsed. These used to work well for me, when my arches were higher. However, this was only the case when paired with the right type of shoes. I wear New Balance cross trainers for most of my athletic activities, and these do not on their own have that much material under the arch. Thus the Superfeet slide in nicely and sit well. However when I have tried putting them in shoes I have owned which already have material under the arch (or a narrow footbed) the effect is to create a huge uncomfortable lump under my arch which forces my foot into the wrong position hurting my knees. Avia shoes, for example, have a lot of built-in arch support meaning that Superfeet don't really sit well in them. So if you are buying shoes with the intent of putting in Superfeet I recommend bringing the Superfeet to the store with you and trying them in the shoes you intend to buy (even if you get strange looks from other customers or the shoe store staff) because they really do alter the way the shoe feels. That said, when properly fitted these can work wonders. A suggestion for a shoe type that fits well with the Superfeet is the New Balance 600 series. They usually have numbers in the low 600s (600-620something).

Difficult To Use With Already Well-fitting Shoes . . . - P. Burggraaf on May 13, 2011

Product instructions say to trim so that the insoles move about 1/8 of an inch; this made the insoles squeak in my athletic shoes, a sure way to get everyone to look up when walking into a room. In addition, I had to loosen the lacings on these shoes so that they were not too tight. I then tried them in some hiking boots that were already a good fit; the increased thickness of the Superfeet insoles (which is significant, 1/4 inch plus or minus) made these boots too tight. I return the insoles. (And, yes, I did remove the factory insoles before inserting the Superfeet insoles.) The quality is excellent; perhaps the concept is okay, but it did not work for me.

Plantar Fasciitis - C. Barker "mr mom" on Sep 17, 2010

I got these inserts because I developed plantar fasciitis. The heal is extremely well supported which helps with my condition. I would recommend them to anyone with a similar problem.

Goodbye Plantar Fasciitis - D. Hoang "DenLude" on Apr 13, 2010

I had plantar fasciitis at it's worst. It got to the point where every step was excruciating, and I had to take a break every minute.

I'm a flat footed person, so arch support was my main priority. A sales rep at Sports Basement turned me to these gems. These insoles made a difference instantly, and after a few days, the pain completely went away.

Best product ever for flat footed people, and I wouldn't wear another pair of shoes without these.

For High Arches And Plantar Fasciitis - L. Dockstader on Mar 26, 2010

Contrary to advertisement, the GREEN Superfeet insoles provide the best support for high arches. I also have Plantar Fasciitis and much back pain. These are the best thing I have found.

The berry color is advertised as being for high arches, but don't believe it. I am having a recurrence of the PF and a lot of backpain because I switched to the Berry color.

Today I am ordering another pair of GREEN Superfeet insoles for my high arches and PF!

Very Comfortable - K. Ferguson on Jan 9, 2010

My wife surprised me with these insoles for Christmas. I work at an airport and spend nearly 60 hours a week on my feet in steel-toe shoes. Let me tell you, these insoles were a welcome addition to my feet!!! The arch support alone makes these insoles worth every penny. If you're just expecting an inexpensive soft shoe liner that you'll have to replace in a few months, then go with Dr. Scholls. But if you want something that's effective, comfortable and efficient, then I certainly recommend these insoles. They might be firm, but that's what makes them so beneficial. Trust me, your knees, back and joints will appreciate it!!

Go green!!!

Best Things To Happen For Feet Since Shoes - C. Scott on May 9, 2011

I'm a big guy and have struggled with weight my whole life. I used to get shin splints every time I would start a running regimen, usually about a month into it. My shin splints would be so bad, I would not be able to run. Typically they went away after about a month of no running, but by that time I'd lose my motivation and if I did start running again, they would come right back. I tried many varieties of shoes, including the top New Balance's. I've been to professional shoe stores and had a proper fitting. Nothing really helped. Then I found these. I no longer get shin splints. It takes about a week for your foot to get used to the insole, so I wouldn't buy these right before running a marathon. They are a really well made product that does what is advertised.

The only downside to them is that once your foot adjusts, wearing shoes without these insoles just doesn't feel right and actually hurts me after a long day. I need to get a pair of Superfeet that are made for dress shoes. That is really the only negative about this product. I now recommend these to everyone. I bought my wife a pair of the pink ones for her work shoes since she is on her feet all day, and she now recommends them to everyone as well.

They are expensive when you compare them Dr Scholls and other cheap stuff that doesn't work, but your feet are worth it.

Save Your Feet! - dscota on Nov 14, 2010

This is my 4th set of Superfeet. Since getting plantar faciitis I have used Superfeet. I would have to credit them to curing my problem. I now have them in every pair of shoes that I own.

Check The Your Arch Type Before Buying! - rickyC on Nov 7, 2010

Good product just not the right ones for me. I should have gotten the blues or the blacks for soccer. The greens are for high arches, my arches are medium to low and the greens are just a bit too much for me. If you have a wide heal go up a size!

Worked Like A Charm - murugu1977 on Oct 16, 2010

I am a first time marathoner. I had knee pain during my long runs and a doctor I approached suggested these for me. I bought them and tried them and the knee pain is gone! I also did figure out that I start pronating a lot when I get tired and this brought about the knee pain. Nowadays, i make a conscious effort to not pronate... The realization about pronation and the purchase of these products coincided but I still think this product did help me.

Hold Up Very Well - Brian G. on Jul 23, 2010

I've had a pair of these for a year now, and they are holding up much better than the shoes. They give good arch support. I just bought another pair for a new set of shoes. I recommend them. They don't really add any padding, so if you're looking for padding, these are not it.

Helps Me Lots But Sizes Are Strange To Me - George H. Paulussen on Apr 24, 2010

Got the Superfeet insoles just a couple of days and i noticed the difference almost instant my knee pain is gone and that makes life a lot more comfortable.

I noticed one thing i don't get. I bought the Men's 7 1/2 - 9 and with my size 7.5 shoes they fit perfect without any cutting. I was expecting that they would fit perfect in a size 9 and that i need to cut them down. confusing but great for me because i don't like to cut those things.

Inserts - Sarah Bankson "iPod on Oct 29, 2009

These inserts are used by both my husband and I in our running shoes. Since using these, I have not had any problems with cramping in my legs.

Comfy! - jmarch518 on Dec 11, 2011

I like these for the support they seem to give me. My lower back has been feeling a lot better since some long term use with these. I have them in three pairs of shoes now!

Great Product - the reader on Dec 9, 2011

Never heard of Superfeet til I mentioned to someone who wears them in ALL her shoes that I am looking to buy an orthotic but have not a clue which one. (She wears them for the same foot problem I have.) Gal recommended the GREEN would give support to my arches, the only Superfeet product she buys. Gal stated the obvious, that this product is SOLID, and can not be bent. Easy to insert. Easy to wear. VERY happy with my GREEN Superfeet insole and highly recommend the product. Wish to add here that I showed the GREEN Superfeet to my podiatrist as I was wearing them when I had an appointment with him recently. The doctor was unfamiliar with the product but impressed with the product he examined. He said he would look into ordering some for patients in his practice. He is the 'foot expert and I am really glad to know of this product and use it.

Amazed! - busy mom on Dec 4, 2011

I am amazed at how well these inserts have already helped me. I had to work them in slowly because I felt so off for the first few times I put them into my sneakers. I did find that after easing into them, they made me feel taller just because I was centering my weight correctly. I used to get shin splints all the time even as a young athlete. I realize now that my arches are not what they should be but don't feel like getting professional inserts for my age and speed. These are the next best thing.

Careful When Sizing For Proper Arch Support - Konrad Haskins on Nov 5, 2011

Even though my foor size is 13 I need the 15-17 for the arch support to be in the right place. That said I'm vary happy with the results after four years as a happy customer who used to have chronically sore feet. I am going to try Orange next.

Super Good For High Arches - Jay125 on Nov 3, 2011

These things were recommended to me by my doctor. They work well and make my boots alot more comfortable. I have back problems that stem from my feet, currently my back is feeling much better and my feet don't hurt as much. Thanks Superfeet!

Have Used These For Years, Last Forever And Makes Any Shoes Comfortable. - D. Myers on Oct 15, 2011

These make any shoes feel great and they last forever. I am actually purchasing an additional set because my other pair have lasted 7+ years between shoes without wearing out. Therefore the value is actually great. These make any shoes feel better with your feet. Remove the shoes stock insole and insert these for great comfort to your feet. Worth it.

War Time - Grunt on Oct 12, 2011

I've been using this product for the last 4 years and at the start of every deployment I always get a new pair of them for my old boots and my feet thank me every day.

This Insert And The Foot Rocker--world Of Difference - psalms8318 on Sep 20, 2011

I have suffered with Plantar Fasciitis for 2 years. I started using the foot rocker to stretch my calf muscles which did help a bit but after reading all of the good reviews, i decided to give superfeet a try. They were not really uncomfortable when i started using them but they did feel different. After my first few walks, my feet ached a bit after resting, but it wasn't P.F. I think my feet were adjusting. After about 4 days of use, i awoke to less foot pain than I've had in a really long time. this product is definitely worth a try (stretching is important as well).

Would Not Run Without It - Tamas Dober on Aug 1, 2011

I started running 4 years ago and as for a beginner, everything was new for me. I was looking for a stability shoe because I was concerned about my ankle (I had problems with the ligaments earlier). I read about the need of an additional layer of absorbing the impact of every step and I tried the Superfeet insole. I'm also using thick socks so my feet feels really comfortable even after long runs (I'm running half marathons). Anyway, I would not run without insoles. Last week I accidentally took an old shoe for the running, which did not have the green insole in it - and man, I could feel my knee afterwards, I really had to ice it. That was the last time I was running without insole - and it should be Superfeet as the normal insole, coming with the shoe is just too thin. BTW, Superfeet lasts a really long time, for long years under regular usage (20-30 miles per week).

Great Comfort And Support - prcGTI on Nov 18, 2010

I love these insoles. I used to buy the gel insoles but those don't have the firm support for my instep and these do. My podiatrist recommended them and after I bought and used a pair I bought a second pair so that I wouldn't have to continuously swap them between different pairs of shoes.

Instant Relief... - Herbert on Aug 19, 2010

My left achilles was aching pretty bad and at one time walking proved difficult. One visit to the podiatrist, and he recommended giving these Superfeet insoles a try before trying more extreme measures. These insoles have relieved a majority of the pain in my feet. I am a true believer and proponent for the Superfeet insoles. Before spending money on expensive shoes (i.e. MBT) recommended by many podiatrists, give these Superfeet insoles a try first.

Good Support - BXC on Mar 20, 2010

While not as good as custom orthotics, the Superfeet are definitely better than most of the shoe insoles that come with shoes, boots, etc. they can be easily slipped into different shoes. They are very sturdy, firm, and will last a long time. I think they are overpriced considering what they are made of, etc. but of what's available on the market, i recommend these.
i also have a different model for my ski boots.
