Editorial Reviews
Encapsulated with two new foams the orthotic shell has satisfied more than a million consumers. Hypurcel foam that maintains its density and cushioning support covers the upper surface, and a soft EVA foam coats the undersurface. This exciting product provides comfort in an orthotic not available in todays market.

Excellent Product, But Too Thick For Some Shoes - G. Moddel on Dec 28, 2009

Having tried all the drugstore arch supports and other online varieties, the Powerstep and the Powerstep Pinnacle are excellent products and clearly the best I have encountered. Not only are they effective, but they are also comfortable.

I have a high arch and was concerned at first that the arch in the Powerstep was not high enough to provide the benefits I needed, because some other medium-height supports did not help me. This turned out not to be a problem. After wearing the Powerstep for just a couple of days my heel problems were gone and my feet and knees felt well. Apparently the shape of the support is just right to provide the benefit.

(Incidentally, my main problem has been heel spurs. An insightful doctor told me that they would stop hurting after using arch supports for a couple of months. He was right! Heel cushions are not the solution - arch supports are.)

I have also used the Powerstep basic model, which is the same orthotic but without the additional padding. The Pinnacle is slightly more comfortable because of its softness. However, because of its additional thickness it fits in only one of my pairs of shoes, while the basic model fits in nearly all of them. If in doubt, buy the basic Powersteps, not the Powerstep Pinnacles.

The orthics are made of high quality plastic, which have lasted me for several months so far. They are not as rigid and strong as the $300 variety, but I think that for the price they are reasonably sturdy.

For several years I've looked for supportive and comfortable arch supports, and now that I've found the Powersteps I plan to stick with them. I recommend them highly.

Great For The Feet. - S. Denbo "Scoob307" on Dec 22, 2008

These insoles took the pain away from my feet due to Plantar Fascitis. They fit my shoes without having to modify them. Once these wear out I will definitely purchase them again.

Comfortable But Poor Quality. - Amazon user 095327 on Oct 18, 2010

I used these for 1.5 months before the top fabric liner began to fall off. I contacted the manufacture of the product and they replaced them for free (I paid to ship the defective ones back). The manufacture said they have been getting complaints of the liner failing recently. My second pair is also already beginning to fail after only a few weeks. They are very comfortable but just unusable when the top liner falls off and balls up under your heels. I will attempt to repair my second pair with glue, but i would certainly not buy these again.

Layers Separating - M. on Jan 28, 2011

I've used the older Powerstep insert for several years in tennis and running shoes and been pleased. Unfortunately this cushioned version has not held up. The liner has separated from the cushion below and the cushion is disintegrating. The manufacturer has not responded to my requests for replacement.

Good Remedy For My Heel-spurs And Plantar Faciitis - R. Denlinger "starti on Nov 23, 2008

I have tried others products and when my local running store suggested the Pinnacle, I switched to check them out. A week later I ran a Half-Marathon race (2nd in age-group) with them in my running shoes. My feet problems did not surface either then nor during the sixty mile weeks subsequent to that. I weigh 167. I usually train in "Asics GEL-Kayano 14" and have high arches.

I am now back here to buy two additional pairs so that I can add them to my regular shoes.

Powerstep Insoles - Richard P. Beatty "R on Aug 15, 2008

I had a problem with Plantar faciatis, and my foot doc recommended an orthotic. I bought these both locally and online and I love them!! I pulled the stock insoles out of my Nikes and installed these, and everything feels great. I bought three pairs, one for my running shoes, one for work, and one for my yard work shoes and I'm very happy! My Plantar faciatis seems to be improving, too! But even if it subsides completely, I will stick with these because they feel so good!!

Great For Plantar Fasciitis - Majnun on Jun 19, 2008

I'm an ICU nurse, and I developed a plantar fasciitis. I had the choice between paying $200 to a podiatrist for customized inserts, or trying something off the shelf. I researched it online, found good reviews for the Pinnacles and tried them - spectacular! Took a couple days for my feet to get used to them, after that walking was so much better, the pain went away when I was wearing the insoles. Then, after 2-3 months, the plantar fasciitis resolved and hasn't returned. I love these!

Help For "hot Heels" - Liz Krusenstjerna on Jul 31, 2011

I got these and a pair of Superfeet Black about a month ago for my SO after reading through hundreds of reviews here at amazon and also at zappos. He is 55, has very flat feet and suffers from what he calls "hot heels." In his work he attends numerous trade shows and after a day on concrete flooring he is in intense pain.

He was immediately attracted to the heel cushioning aspect of the Powerstep Pinnacles and went on to wear them for a couple of hours a day for several days. He said that they began alleviating his pain almost immediately. He felt the insoles repositioning his feet during the break in period and used that to guide him as to how long to wear them before taking a break. In any case, they've been show-tested and although he is not pain free he finds them very helpful and I am going to get him several more pairs here at amazon for distribution throughout his flock of footwear. If I were going to buy one pair only I probably would get them on ebay where several vendors offer them for about the same money with free shipping.

He typically wears Merrells, boots and outdoor sport type shoes, in a 10-10.5-11 size range. Swapping out the Merrell insoles with a pair of 10-10.5 size G Powerstep Pinnacles was simple and easy and did not require altering the insoles in any way.

Regarding the Superfeet Black, he did try them out. They are currently installed in a pair of his Merrell Chameleon mid height boots, which I notice he's not been wearing. When I asked him about the Superfeet he told me that because the Superfeet do not have the immediate cushioned feel of the Powersteps he doesn't feel inclined to persist with them. Now I just spent several minutes examining the two pairs of boots housing the new insoles and, to me, although the Superfeet are overtly sans cushion there really isn't a whole lot of what I would call cushioning in the Powersteps either. But apparently it makes all the difference for him.

I wanna say that I am profoundly grateful for all of the information freely available from the amazon community in these reviews. You folks surely are a generous bunch and I continue to be amazed by and very thankful for you.

Save Your Legs, Hips And Back - Carol on Dec 2, 2010

I purchased two pairs of these orthotics for my husband and adult son who are both flat footed. My husband's podiatrist actually recommended these inserts to improve an issue he was having with his ankle joints sagging due to his overpronation. These immediately reduced his ankle pain and swelling and with regular use have corrected it. My son had a similar problem with his knee due to his flat feet and these completely cured the problem. Amazon offered these orthotics for more than $10 less than offered at our local store. I always check out Amazon first whenever I need ANYTHING and I am never disappointed!

Very Nice Insoles - V. Patel on Sep 23, 2010

I am in a lot of pain due to plantar fasciitis. The podiatrist tried to sell me the exact same insole for $10 more than the price on amazon. The arch support is really good because the arch area is very stiff on the insole. I can actually feel the arch support with these things in my shoes. Never felt that with any of the dr. scholls insoles I tried, and I tried a lot of them.

Worth A Try If You Have Plantar Fasciitis - B. Moore on Nov 12, 2010

I have been suffering from PF and a wicked heel spur for about 9 months now. I have tried all sorts of inserts, arch banadages, KURU shoes, night splints, the pro-stretch and various exercises. So far I have been able to keep the pain in check, but I am not at the point where I can run more than 20 yards without some serious discomfort. Most PF sufferers have flat feet and over pronate, I have high arches and supinate.

The Powerstep Pinnacle is a decent insert worth the money IMO. Its basically a 3/4 inch hard plastic orthotic glued inside a foam insole and I use it in a pair of Brooks running shoes with no fit issues. The foam part of the insole seems like an afterthought and quite a few companies do a better job of cushioning, but the combined effect with the orthotic makes up for any short comings. and The arch support feels a bit odd at first. In fact there was quite a bit of discomfort for me the first day in my injured foot and none in the healthy foot. The arch support feels ball like and centered in the middle of the foot. I am actually yearning for more support at the my arches highest point in the inside of the foot.

I am thinking this insole may be better for the folks with flat feet and over-pronantion. For folks like me its a decent solution, but not a magic cure. I can be on my feet most of the day without any pain although running is still a distant goal.

All in all its worth a try if you are suffering. If you are not suffering then I recommend that you use quality insoles to prevent injury.

Update 12/9/10 - I have dropped my rating from 4 stars to 3 due to lack of durability. I have had these less than two months and have used them for about a month in that timeframe. The fabric on the top of the insole is peeling away at the heel about an inch and a half. Because the fabric is pulling away the foam around the heel is beginning to crumble and break off. The right insole is worse than the left at the moment but the left is going down the same path of disintegration. The adhesive connecting the fabric is inadequate, ineffective or was improperly applied IMO. I do think this is a good product from a functional standpoint, but the durability is not impressive. It is possible that I have a defective pair, but I imagine they make right insoles and left insoles in different batches and I am experiencing the same issue with both. I would expect this product to be designed to last 6 month at a minimum, but I have a hard time imagining them lasting 3 months.

Finally - A Pair Of Orthotics That Work!!! - E. Sikorski on Nov 30, 2010

I have spent YEARS looking for a good pair of orthotics. I have tried almost every Dr. Scholls product and some of the drugstore brands. Some worked ok..others failed miserably. Others did not provide enough support, slid around in my shoes, or were just plain uncomfortable. These orthotics are what I have been looking for this whole time.

I have flat feet and spend most of my day on them (about 6 hours or so at work, plus plenty of time at home). When I first got these orthotics, I did follow the directions and only wore them for a few hours at a time to get used to them. After the first few times wearing them, I was not very impressed. They were a little uncomfortable and I felt the arches might be too far forward in my shoe. However, after continuing to break them in, my opinion changed drastically. I now wear these exclusively and have stopped using my other orthotics. In fact, I wore a pair of older ones and my feet hurt instantly. I had to switch to these immediately.

A couple tips for people wearing them the first time:

- Gradually break them in for a few hours a day for at least a few days. Increase the wearing time little by little.

- Be patient when making your judgment on these until after you wear them for at least a few full days.

- Some shoes might require the insoles being removed (most of mine did not however).

- These work really well for wide feet (they do not slide around like smaller and cheaper models; this alone is reason enough to get them for me!)

I will be purchasing another pair or two so I can don't have to keep switching them out every day. These are definitely worth the investment, and are inexpensive enough that if they don't work for you, it is not a huge financial loss. (Not to mention, Amazon returns are so quick and easy)

UPDATE - 2/11 - I have been wearing these EVERY DAY since I broke them in..a little more than two months. I have since gotten rid of the rest of my old insoles and have ordered another pair of these. My feet have never been more comfortable in years!! Since I wear a different pair of shoes to work almost every day, they have started to show some wear and tear around the edges. I would recommend getting a few pairs to minimize this damage. I will continue to update and hopefully be able to offer some positive feedback in regards to longevity.

UPDATE - 9/9 - After using these exclusively for 10 months, I have to replace a pair. The area where my "big" toe sits has worn straight through the pad and down to the hard plastic. This has created a strange feeling and makes them less comfortable to wear. My other pair is still in great shape. Not sure if it makes a difference, but the insoles that must be replaced stayed in my sneakers the entire time. The other pair I rotate into my dress shoes for work each day and other pairs of sneakers. Perhaps rotating them helps them air out and prevent deterioration?

Quality Vs. Comfort - wick on Mar 4, 2011

These are by far the best foot supports I've found, but they don't hold up. They are comfortable, but the top lining separates from the foam in a matter of 2-3 monthes. I still buy them because they do wonders for my feet,I just wish they would fix this problem.

Pinacle Powerstep - ryan on Sep 25, 2010

These orthotics have completely resolved my plantar fasciitis. They aren't the first I have tried because I have had this condition for years. I appreciate the quality and price. I was thrilled to get them so fast.

Best Inserts For The Money!!! - SirLoin on Apr 6, 2011

I've tried a bunch of inserts, and these are the best ones you can get outside of a professionally molded / custom-made one from your podiatrist. The arch support, the most important part whether you're flat-footed or have high arches, is super firm and won't bend. I'm a powerlifter and weigh 265 pounds, and if they can keep my flat-arches from flattening out even more, they'll most probably work great for you as well!

No More Pain! - Randall Clairmont on Dec 6, 2010

My doctor recommended Powerstep Pros about a year ago, and I now own 3 pairs. This was my first try with the Pinnacles. These are almost the same as the pros, but slightly lower quality. Still relieves the pain and works WAY better than any other OTC orthotic, but if you can find the PowerStep Pro, it is worth the extra few dollars.

HEAL YOUR ARCH - ARTURO on Dec 7, 2011

THESE INSOLES ARE GREAT. THE TOP OF THE LINER ON THE HEEL PART ARE STARTING TO ROLL BACK.GREAT PRICE; I ALSO RECOMMEND THE RED WING HEAT MOLDABLE INSOLES.

Great Product! - Chris on Jul 8, 2011

I personally think that these insoles are far better than the ones that are offered in stores (gel insoles). For one main reason, they don't move around in the shoe which causes you to take your shoe off to re-adjust the insole back into place. Plus, they seem to provide more comfort to the feet all together, not just to the heel of the foot. If you want to try something that gives you more comfort for your feet and will stay in place. Or, if you're just tired of the other insoles not working like they use to, buy these, they work.

Great Inserts - Caleb White on Jul 6, 2011

I have been using these inserts for the last two weeks. I am very impressed. They work amazingly well to combat leg and foot fatigue. I work in the plastic injection industry and I do machine installations where I am standing on concrete 8-12 hours per day. I can't say that I am not tired at the end of the day, but there is a huge difference between the Pinnacle inserts and the stock inserts that came with my safety shoes. They really are effective. I will be buying them again, when this pair needs replacing.

Much Cheaper On Amazon Then My Dr - C. Widick "Cathrop" on Jun 30, 2011

I have post tibial tendonitis. My foot Dr sold the same insoles to me for 50.00!!
They work great and at this cost im buying more for other shoes!!

I Love These Things. - Jason on Jun 30, 2011

Upon recommendation of my podiatrist, I ordered these inserts. They are amazing and priced at half what they wanted for the same inserts at my doctor's office. They are very durable, fit my shoes perfectly, and will help you tremendously if you have high arches and suffer with foot problems.

Helps My Feet Feel Better. - Consumer on Feb 10, 2011

I went to a podiatrist for chronic pain with my feet. She diagnosed me with 'over pronation' and prescribed custom orthotics but also gave me a set of these insoles until I could get the custom ones.

I have tried MANY over-the-counter insoles and find the Prowetstep to be the best so far. For me, all the others are junk compared to these. I actually like these better then my custom orthotics!

This is just my experience. Contact your medical professional for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Good. Can't Walk Far Without Them. - squashpup "squashpup on Jan 20, 2011

These help the pain of my Plantar Fasciitis, but don't eliminate it entirely. Of course, of all the treatments I've tried (night splints, cortisone shots, rest, ice, immobilization, stretching, etc.) this helped better than anything. It makes the day bearable instead of miserable. I can still walk at the end of a day, which is more than I could say before.

I find I have to replace them a few times a year, and I always move the old sets to less frequently used shoes, like slippers and such. If they're too big, especially in the toe area, I cut them right in front of the hard plastic part to make them about half the length (especially true if I can't get the old insole out of the shoe without tearing it up). This gives a little more room and actually lowers the front of the foot slightly, making a little more support in the middle.

I've heard that these are just as good as medical orthotics, and from talking to people who have those, they aren't getting any more relief than I am, so I feel these are worth it. I've bought several pair, and plan to continue using them as long as I have foot pain.

Helps My Plantar Fasciits - Evansmommy on Nov 28, 2010

Recommended by my local foot specialist, these inserts really help in my battle with plantar fasciatis. You may have to get accustomed to them by wearing them only a few hours at a time at first. Need to replace them at least every 6 months. But, they really do the trick. I put them in all my shoes, replacing the original liner. I have flat feet.

Excellent - A. McDonald "A. McDo on Nov 11, 2010

the inserts are not the ones sold in the major chain stores. These are much better and give more support. I can say from a person who stands on a concrete floor for long periods of time, these are well worth the money.

Solved Heal Pain - J.I. on Oct 17, 2010

Purchased Powerstep Pinnacle for my 11 year old son who was experiencing heal pain after playing soccer. He has flat feet. After using the Powersteps for three weeks, he is not experiencing any more heal pain after he plays.

Helped Cure My Plantar Fasciitis - J. Mijares "J. Mijar on Jun 14, 2009

I was looking for some insoles that were both cushioned and have a rigid orthotic. I've tried `Insoles Spenco Walk/Run M10-11 W11-12 For walking running or jogging * Special heel strike cushion, Sorbothane Unisex SorboElite Insole, and Superfeet

Comfortable But Doesn't Correct For Flat Feet And Pronation - tennisbob on Oct 3, 2010

These are comfortable for walking and running straight ahead but they don't provide enough support for flat feet and pronated ankles. Also, the cover is too slippery to play tennis in and so I slide around in them which is not comfortable.

Lots Of Support But Not Very Durable - Eric L. Slagle on Sep 9, 2010

At first I fell in love with my Powersteps but as 4+ months went by not so much anymore. They provide lots of support and once my feet adjusted I could spend the day standing no problem. However, after about four months the foam quickly degraded under the heals which unfortunately rendered them useless. For a smaller person this may occur so quickly but at 200 pounds my Pinnacles could not withstand daily use. I feel that such and item should last at least 6 months.

Replaced Custom Orthotics At $400 - Cat "Cat" on Jan 19, 2012

I've had pretty severe PF and ball of foot problems (metatarsalis SP?) for about 8 months. Went to the PT and he told me to get custom orthotics at $400. I did and they helped, but I had to take them back time and time again for adjustments. I bought these, put them in my cushioned tennis shoes and haven't gone back to the expensive orthotics. Wear them at work and working out. They make a lot of difference.

Inserts - Dshai on Jan 18, 2012

I had continuing debilitating foot pain. I tried the typical inserts but none had an arch support that actually worked with my very high arches. After slipping Powerstep Pinnacle inserts into my shoes, I could walk without pain! I also use them when I run, no pain! I would recommend them to anyone.

Really Good Product - RG on Dec 24, 2011

I got this for my husband because he is always complaining about his feet he is always on his feet, he prefers to wear sandals all the time but He can't his work demands dress shoes, but this inserts are really good alot of support and he loves them!!! he wears orthoheel sandals and loves them so after reading the reviews for these inserts I decided to try them out and were a great buy.

I truly recommend them.

Comfortable But Have Short Life - Dog Lover on Dec 14, 2011

The Powerstep Pinnacle is very comfortable and gives the support I need, but the lining wears through PREMATURELY on all FOUR pairs in the past year. Two of the pairs wore through near the ball of foot, one pair the lining tore loose from the side. On the fourth pair just put into service YESTERDAY, I notice the lining separating from the sides again. Once the lining has worn through, the foam disintegrates very quickly.

This company either has a manufacturing defect on these insoles, or they lack durability and should be redesigned. I looking into other brands ... disappointing as they ARE comfortable, but too expensive to have to replace this often.

Helps Plantar Fascitis - French-Man "Nate" on Dec 14, 2011

This is the 2nd time that I've used this product for plantar fascitis. It helped me immediately after I put it into my shoes. It massages the plantar muscle and the pain was gone in a few days.

Much Better Than Expected - anon on Nov 10, 2011

This product has been a miracle for my feet. I bought this on a whim thinking it would be just like the other inserts I had purchased to help out my plantar fascitis but absolutely not! It provides the proper support for my feet while walking, resting and working out. I can actually run again due to these - but not at full speed.

In a few months with these I think my feet will return very close to normal and I'll be able to move properly again. It's a blessing considering what I had been putting up with for most of this year. I will be purchasing another pair as well to go into my dress shoes so that I can have happy feet all day long.

Great For Plantar Fasciitis - W. davis on Oct 24, 2011

I purchased these on the recommendation of a podiatrist. At first they hurt my arches, but she told me it would pass. Actually, that was my problem. My arches were too tight, causing a pull on other muscles, etc., causing very painful walking, even limping. These inserts eventually got comfortable and stretched out my arch and made it more flexible. I haven't had the problem since. I also combined this with calf stretches. A lot of sitting, like at a desk, allows the calf muscles to tighen up and pull on the heel, causing heel pain. These really work.

Works Well With Functional Durability - Charles D. Pearson " on Oct 5, 2011

My feet were hurting, I installed these in one pair of my boots and my feet stopped hurting. I have used them 13 hours a week for nearly three years and they still work well. Some reviews have complained about the top layer of foam wearing. The top layer of foam in the front of mine has worn. The foam in the front has nothing to do with supporting the arch and I wouldn't have known it was worn if I hadn't taken it out to look at it. They fit in my size 11 Muck boots without cutting and without removing the original insole. The Amazon price is a lot better than another online price.

Happy Camper - oneputt on Jun 28, 2011

Powerstep Pinnacle Inserts I bought through Amazon.com make my walking a lot easier, I am very pleased with them they FIT just fine.

Good Support - Mirrorsaw on Jun 9, 2011

Good support, I can actually feel and determine I had higher arches due to this insert.

The one problem I have unfortunately is the arches seem a tiny bit high on one foot - leading to a minute amount of discomfort.

I have not broken them in for a long time, so I can't say if that slight discomfort will fade, but I can say I climbed Algonquin Peak in New York's Adirondack State Park and my feet did not get tired and felt supported.

Great Support! Great Price! Highly Recommend! - Mark A. Lingle "Amaz on May 26, 2011

It all started when I went into WalMart and stepped on the Dr Scholls foot support machine. I came searching on Amazon for a better price. Next thing I know, I wind up searching the internet for reviews and the Dr. scored very low with both Podiatrist and many consumers, not to mention the 40.00+ price tag! Then I discovered positive reviews for this product. Since I received them I can say they are comfortable and offer great support. I don't suffer from any diagnosed foot problems, but I find that my feet are often sore from walking on them all day. New Balance sneakers helped a lot, but once I put these babies in I found that the soreness, was greatly reduced and my fatigue is greatly reduced. I put them in a new pair ( You have to take your shoe inserts out) and it fits perfectly inside. I wear a size 11 1/2 EEE (Wide feet) lol , but no problems. They don't slide around. I will say that you need to alternate your shoes every other day until you get used to them. They put pressure on spots that never seemed to support the weight before. I wouldn't say I have flat feet, but the front pad of my foot felt bruised at first. Month later and all is well, I wear them everyday! Highly recommend! The price is great!

I Bought A Pair For Each Pair Of Shoes - Mark on May 14, 2011

These are really great. I had non-stop arch pain in my feet. None of the cheapies worked at all. I bought a pair of these for my everyday shoes. The helped my feet so much I bought a pair for my work shoes and recommend them to everyone!

Seems To Work For My Runner's Knee - Love Joy on May 2, 2011

I was having pain in my knee and turns out I had Runner's Knee. I bought these to help relieve the pain and I've been using them for a little over a month and my knee pain has definitely improved. I still have a little after I run, but these things have helped. I'm also doing Terminal Extension exercies to help strenghten the muscles around my knees. To help them last longer, I keep them in my running sneakers and only where them to run.

Also, my Reebok sneakers are a size 7 and I got the 6-6.5 size and they fit in my sneakers perfectly. However, they don't fit in my size 7 New Balances.

I Love These Insoles! - retired hiker on Apr 29, 2011

These insoles are better than my insoles specially design by a medical professional that cost $200. I have Planar fasciitis and these insoles really help. At first they seem to be to high an arch, but I have learned that that is what I need to eliminate the pain in my heel. They do however have to be replaced about every 4-6 months as they develop wear spots.

Miracle Worker - Vella on Apr 1, 2011

The powerstep pinnacle show inserts are great. When wearing them for the first time was a little uncomfortable for my left foot issue, but after getting use to wearing them, I will be purchasing another pair.

Plantar Fasciitis Relief - JSmith on Feb 20, 2011

I have used the regular Powerstep inserts and these Powerstep Pinnacle inserts. I prefer the extra padding on the Pinnacles. My wife prefers the 3/4 length but I will stick with the full length ones. I have used these for years and they completely relieve my Plantar Fasciitis pain. I get at least a year of wear or more from every pair. I usually have 2-3 pair of Pinnacles so I can keep them in boots, sneakers, and work shoes. Great price and value here on Amazon. Highly recommend.

Happy Feet - Florida Grandma on Feb 6, 2011

I love these. I was recently diagnosed with plantar faciitis and had to get orthotics from the foot doctor at a cost of over $40. These are made by the same company and cheap enough that I ordered a couple pair so I can put them in my slippers and sneakers and not have to bother with changing one pair back and forth. My feet feel great and I will probably be able to forgo surgery now.

Foot Pain? Bad Back? - Forever Young on Jan 30, 2011

Just the right amount of arch support (and I have a high arch)as well as padding. Recommended by my podiatrist when I began suffering from swelling in the balls of my feet. Fit into my Easy Spirits with ease (also recommended by my podiatrist).

Takes a lot of pressure off the back. Didn't expect to see such a change.

Instant Bliss. - Morris J. Mays on Dec 29, 2010

My heel was sensitive and painful each time I got out of bed, stoodup, or walked. A friend mentioned he had damaged his plantar fascia several years prior, which caused him pain just like I had described. In early April of this year 2010, from daily walking on gravel where I work here in Afghanistan, I figured I must have damaged my plantar fascia. The pain in the heel of my right foot got worst with each passing day. Not having immediate access to a foot specialist, I contacted one in Doha, Qatar, who reccommended I search the internet for a 'Powerstep' orthotic insert to use until I returned to the states. Searching the internet revealed several locations for the same insert with varied prices. I purchased a pair for under $25 ( I would have paid more), and they arrived in less than 10 days...I was desperate, as walking and standing had become almost un-bearable for me. Those things worked like magic (they instantly became worth a lot more to me). In fact, they had me feeling so much better that I went back on-line after a few days and tried ordering four additional pairs to put in my other shoes. I only found one more pair for under $25, so I purchased it as a back-up until I can get a custom fitting. My feet feel ssoooooo good. This product probably saved my job, and, prevented future aches and pains from me over-compensating because of the constant pain I was having to deal with whenever I stood or walked. Running was out of the question. I love my Powerstep Pinnacle Orthotic Inserts. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. (The plantar fascia is the thick connective tissue which supports the arch of the foot. It runs from the tuberosity of the calcaneus forward to the heads of the metatarsal bones. It is the source of the painful condition which I know about first-hand.)

I have recommended them to all my friends and family. That extra arch support and heel cup really make all the difference in having shoe comfort, a worthy investment.
