Now we have mint green tablets. I thing they dissolve faster. I know they call these mint flavor but they taste like wintergreen to me.
There is no need to compare this product to any other, as it is enough to suffice that this product is fast, and long lasting. I keep some at home, office and car.
Con: They have changed the mint taste. While I do think the new taste does leave more of a cool sensation [which is great], it is a little odd. However this isn't candy, so not knocking off a star. Just hope they don't "new and improve" a great product out of existence. Note: FYI, the "new and improved" bottles say "NEW Taste!" on the top, and the tablet color is a bluish-white.
What else can I say. We like this product however it is a bit pricey

Now I will be buying the 50 count off amazon now that I know they carry it, I just wish they were a bit cheaper. But thankfully I have 5 weeks left in this pregnancy so I won't have to be buying these pills for much longer.
woes. For awhile it's been off the market? But found it through Amazon...LOVE Amazon..they seem to have everything.
The generic versions are available now and they also work, but they have the older very hard tablets, which are very hard to chew. I'm talking chalky taste and impossible to crush is you have a lot of dental work!
However, it's worth noting that both varieties have short shelf lives, particularly if not kept in a cool place. The begin to smell like stale perfume and can leave a very bad after taste.
The little pills work much slower. They do work, but you'll need another antacid if you want to fast relief.
BTW, this is for occassional heart burn or reflux. If you find that you need to take it daily, go see your doctor and get a longer lasting prescription.
Side effects are mild - it can stop or slow down your normal digestion, which can be annoying, but it sure beats the alternative!
I get reflux problems when ever I eat starchy foods (breads, pizza, potatoes, etc.) and this product gives me instant relief. I'm talking about 5 minutes, tops. If I wake up with heartburn, I can chew one and go right back to sleep - no water needed. So, the flavor may be important and I agree, the "MINT" flavor is the best and the hardest to find, so STOCK UP PEOPLE!
Several stores I frequent have stopped stocking this product.
I don't know why, but it worries me. So, thank goodness for Amazon.
You can buy exactly what you want and save money at the same time!
The name of this store implies that you get a wholesale price. $73.95 is a wholesale price???? At approximately $1.50 a pill, I'd rather suffer! You should be ashamed of yourselves for taking advantage of your potential customers!
And by the way, Tums Dual Action is the exact same thing (same ingredients, I checked) as this version of Pepcid. It is made in the U.S.A. It will be available here on Amazon, February 14th. Right now the price is $16.05.
