Takes Getting Used To At First BUT It Works Great!!! - UniversityDoc on Apr 15, 2010

I bought this because snoring is a problem along with allergies. I also woke up every morning and had to spit up a lot of thickish, green mucus. Yuck!
I gave this a try when I purchased it on a whim. What a difference this thing makes. It's a bit messy on first try and it takes getting used to but over the course of a few days, I saw the mucus I spit up become clearer and clearer until no more spitting up mucus at all. It's even helped with my snoring somewhat. I definitely feel better using this and highly recommend it for anyone with sinus problems or allergies.
I used only 60ml on first try. I didn't know what to expect and didn't want to cause any harm. I immediately learned that I needed to use the whole 240ml dose. As advertised, it doesn't burn or cause any harm. For the price and ease, I'd rather use this than pop a Claritin everyday. It works great, just as it is advertised to do.
It seems the practice of nasal irrigation goes way back. More and more physicians are recommending the practice to their patients. Now I see why.

Uncomfortable Process But Worth It For Congestion - Elixabeth on Mar 20, 2010

The first time I used this pressurized neti pot system it was incredibly uncomfortable, now I'm used to it. It doesn't hurt, it's just like water flossing your sinus cavity. At first it made me even more congested and drainy, but after a week it was like my sinus cavities had been excavated. I could feel the water going up, filling them, and then coming down. If you snort it a little before you blow the excess water out it will drip down your throat, but clear that passage too. It will grab whatever's up there, fight infection, drip lightly for about an hour and leave me feeling better the rest of the day. I bought 200 extra packets after I'd had it for a week and now also own the drying rack. It's just the right size to give the effective 4oz rinse on each side, lets you control the pressure, and is easy to clean. Much better than a standard pot, and Nelimed seems to have frequent rebate programs.

Good Bye Sinus Headaches! - galleylama on Oct 29, 2009

No more chemicals or drugs...this product is easier to use than a neti pot. I no longer suffer from terrible sinus headaches and I haven't had a sinus infection since using the Neilmed.

Makes A Difference - Georgia Girl on Sep 4, 2011

I have allergies, so my ENT recommended this kit to rinse my sinuses. I bought it, but left it in the drawer because (1) I had no interest in squirting water up my nose and (2) after reading the instructions, thought it was also too complicated. My doctor had prescribed antihistamines and a nasal steriod spray. Those medications worked OK, but the antihistamines really dried me out and after using the spray for a couple of months, I got a nosebleed. I needed to do something different so I pulled out the Neil Med kit and decided to try it. The nurse had demonstrated it for me, but I wasn't sure I remembered everything so I found the video online and watched it a few times. I got up my nerve and gave it a try. Surprisingly, it wasn't hard to do or unpleasant and my nose felt great after. It took me about a week to get the hang of it, but everyday was better and it wasn't complicated to use at all. I pick up distilled water when I buy groceries. Now rinsing my sinuses is part of my morning routine. I'm glad I gave it a try. Using the Neil Med kit and a children's dose of an over the counter antihistamine keeps my allergies/sinus problems in check without a lot of side effects. I recommend buying the dock for the bottle as it makes it a lot easier to store and dry.

Sinus Relief - alb1957 on Jan 22, 2012

This is a great product for anyone that has ever suffered from sinus drainage. If you can deal with it, some can't but if you can it cleans out the germs and mucus that makes you miserable.

Simple But EFFECTIVE - David on Dec 30, 2011

My order was based on my wife having serious sinusitis. We got this expecting something decent for $20 and we got way more than we bargained for.

The process is so simple, but, it clears out her nose like nothing else does. I use it myself to get any little booger i might have lurking in my nose and my nose feels great afterward.

Highly recommended for someone with sinusitis.

YMMV - Asthma Attack on Jul 8, 2011

With a deviated septum and allergies, I always have a nasal passage that is blocked off even with medication.

On every attempt I made using this product (3 or 4 times), I got a sharp pain in my ear which prompted me to stop using the product. According to the manual included, if your nasal passage is sealed up, you shouldn't use the product.

I would recommend trying the single pack out before purchasing this two pack to see if sinus rinses work for you, or you might just end up tossing it like I did.

Easier Than Neti, And Works Great. Must Have! - LAmour Toujours on Mar 14, 2011

I was using the neti pot and my allergist suggested this instead and gave me a sample. It's so much easier than the neti pot, and works just as well, if not better. It's hard to get all the solution out, but I use it daily and it keeps my sinuses clear. I recommend it to anyone to avoid sinus infections. This product isn't just a preference, it's become a necessity in my life.

A Must Have If You're Fighting Congestion For Any Reason! - Jeff Pittman "Jeff P on Jan 8, 2011

Wow. My GP recommended one of these to me yesterday and said he swears by it. I bought one at a local pharmacy and tried it out. It is easy to use, wasn't uncomfortable to me at all, and it takes all of 30 seconds to do a rinse. I can't believe I've never heard of this before!

Netipot Salt Packets - L. L. Maron on Dec 29, 2010

A friend of mine told me about "netipots" when I was suffering miserably from a bad cold. I thought the whole idea sounded a little hokey, but desperate times call for desperate measures. When I went to buy the netipot, I noticed the squeeze bottle version, so I bought that. It came with some salt packets which I used up quickly. The bulk packets were available on Amazon, So I bought them. They are the geniune NeilMed packets and are very convenient. The latest ones that I received have been re-packaged from a square packet to a tubular one. This is even better. The square packets were a tad tricky to open and get all the salt into the bottle. This new design is perfect. I use my "netipot once a day (twice a day in allergy season) and have had far fewer problems with my sinuses.

Won't Be Without It. - reg on Dec 28, 2010

I really like this system for either congestion due to allergies or a cold. It doesn't eliminate it, but it does keep it from getting packed in your sinuses and becoming infected. It makes a difference in the facial pressure you often feel with this congestion. It's a strange sensation, but easy to get used to. I didn't find it painful, but I do suggest being careful with the water temperature. Just slightly warm works best for me. Hot is uncomfortable. I use it twice a day, but it is safe to use more often. One kit will last a very long time, but each person should have their own, so if another family member needs one, definitely purchase the 2 pack.

Great For Allergies - Bryan Alterman "Burt on Jul 24, 2010

I have been using this product for a few months and I have seen a big difference in my allergies. I would highly recommend this for anyone who suffers any kind of sinus problems.

Indispensable Part Of My Allergy-relief Routine - Michael Jandrok on Jun 17, 2010

Long story short, I had sinus surgery about 5 weeks ago (mid-May 2010)to remove nasal polyps. This was my second surgery to remove polyps, the first one having been done about 3 years ago. I have had allergies pretty much all of my life, and the polyps were the consequence of the acute sinusitis that I have suffered with all of these years.

My surgeon gave me one of these NeilMed kits in my first follow-up visit and advised that I use it to keep my sinuses clean post-surgery. He also advised that long-term use would probably help to relieve some of the seasonal allergies that I have, the gentle rinse washing away pollens and dust that naturally collect in the sinus mucous.

So now I rinse twice daily, and the results couldn't be better. I will admit that I don't use the premixed packets, rather I substitute a half-teaspoon to a full teaspoon of sea salt into the bottle. (My surgeon himself suggested this substitution, and it works great for me, though there is absolutely nothing wrong with buying the premixed packets of solution, as they work as well.)

This product is fast becoming the cornerstone of my new allergy relief system. I am also taking immunotherapy shots, and I will occasionally take an OTC pill like Zyrtec-D once in a while if I know that I'm going to be doing something that will aggravate my allergies (like mowing the lawn, for example), but the NeilMed rinse has done the most for me in terms of relieving my worst symptoms.

This is a simple product to use, and the benefits far outweigh any slight discomfort that I might have during use. I am an absolute convert to nasal rinsing as a preventative therapy, and this product is incredibly cost-effective and reliable. The results for me have just been incredible.

I can't recommend this product enough. It's AWESOME with extra awesome sauce on top!

Walmart Is [...] - Mominator "mominator on Dec 3, 2010

This product works amazingly well. Immediately after using it I can breathe clearly, and the nasal drip that instigates the cough is gone. But one box of applicator bottle and 50 packets is [...] at Walmart. Why are all the packages that come up on the search for Amazon so much over that price????
My advice, get the product for excellent relief from nasal congestion, but go to Walmart unless the Amazon prices become comparable and have no shipping.
