I usually don't write reviews, but I had to for this product. I am 49 years old. Back in December I was diagnosed as having large uterine fibroid tumors that were causing me problems. But my periods were still regular, like clockwork. No symptoms of menopause whatsoever at that time. But I was having other symptoms relating to the fibroids. One of the things my gynecologist recommended was a hysterectomy because of my age. But I really didn't want to have such an invasive surgery, so my doctor told me about a procedure call UAE (Uterine Artery Embolization). I went to a doctor who specializes in this and he said I was a good candidate for it. It is a procedure that basically kills off the fibroids and makes then shrink up. Only a week downtime. Also a 85% success rate. So I opted for this procedure. About a month (maybe a little more) post-procedure and I start having menopause symptoms with a vengeance! Just wham, all of a sudden! Well, apparently, the UAE triggered menopause. This was a risk in this procedure because of my age. It was/has been so horrible. My doctor suggested hormone replacement therapy. To start with I am 40 years old and have been told there is nothing wrong with my hormones. My mom started her menopause around this time and I am now pretty sure I have too even though the doctors don't agree. I don't have night sweats but I all of a sudden last year started to have anxiety attacks and constant anxiousness. Sometimes I felt so bad I would need my husband to just hold me or put his body on me just so I would calm down enough to sleep. I have 2 little boys 5 and 8 with all that comes with it....constant activity and service! I would feel like someone was chasing me at times. The doctor told me I was just "mommied out" and that Zoloft would take the edge of and calm me down. After 3rd day of taking it I had a full blown panic attack and felt as close to dying as I have ever before! I swore I would never in my life take anything like that again and risk my sanity. It knocked me out so bad I could not function for almost 5 days. Since then anxiety have been my life. I think having anxiety causes anxiety, it's a vicious circle. My head has had the feeling of dizziness, pressure in my forehead, ringing in the ears and a feeling of not being able to deal with any confrontations, issues or problem solving. I would often cry at night and tell my husband that I don't know why but to just let me cry and I would feel relieved. When I once in a while would feel good I would wonder what the heck was wrong with me and want to take on the world. Since I later have realized those days have come and gone every now and then I would need to take advantage of them and run all my errands that day or clean the house. Now I am starting to think it must have been my hormones since I was obviously not really ill just sometimes! This problem really has bothered me and my entire family. I have tried to get more active since that seems to help temporarily. After a brisk walk I always felt much better but still not good enough. My sex drive that was low to begin with has now become non-existent.
Now for the good news.....
7 days ago I started taking Mendapause with the expectation of it taking 4-6 weeks of taking effect but just after 3-4 days I swear things changed. Since I started I have done major yard work, which I would other days been to fatigued to do. I feel like a fog has lifted from my mind...the anxiety, oh my anxiety this horrible life sucking thing I have been dealing with has been gone since about 5 days ago!!!!!!! If it is thanks to the Mendapause I don't know how to thank them enough. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I intend to write another review in a few weeks when it has proven itself. My ringing in my ears is yet to go away but gosh I can live with that! I even have managed to make my husband a little happier a couple of times! Always a start.... I am so hopeful this will change my whole families life!

It has now been about 5 weeks and I would have to say it is still working! The anxiety is much less, although it has happened that I have worked myself up a few times. We just started a pretty big construction project on our house and normally it would completely petrify me with all the commotion but I am actually having fun with it. Still have some ringing in my ears....sex drive would leave more to be desired but at least it's better. Hope this herb will build up in my system to make all my symptoms go away but at least it has made me feel a whole lot better!

I am soon to be 53 and started experiencing normal symptoms associated with menopause a month or so ago. My hot flashes weren't too severe, but the night sweats, lethargy, nausea and loss of libido were major factors. I would get so warm in bed that I couldn't stand for my own legs to touch each other. Guess being single has its advantages during this time as cuddling would have been out of the question. I spent hours researching products as I knew the dangers of HRT and wanted something natural. From reviews and the product's ingredients, I decided on Mendapause. For, me, it took exactly two weeks to the day I started taking them to see a noticeable difference. Since my hot flashes weren't too bad, my main concerns were my non-existent libido and just overall wanting to feel like myself again. I am said to look 10 years younger, in good shape, and definitely not ready to say goodbye to my sensual side. On that two-week mark, I woke up feeling better than I had in a while and yes, my libido was back! I couldn't believe that I had slept through the night, my energy level was back and I felt that tingle once again...you know, the one that makes you feel like a sexy woman again! In exactly two weeks after trying this product, it all came back! I was thrilled and felt like my life was given back to me! Thanks, Mendapause! I am just hoping that this product continues to work for me. Now, it has not completely eliminated the hot flashes, if you still want to call them that. There is still that subtle flush of warmth that I occasionally get, but it's bearable. And that's why I didn't give it five stars; but, also keep in mind that I've not completed the bottle. Does anyone know if it's safe to try the Progesterone cream along with the pills to see if both would completely eliminate that occasional warm feeling? If so, I may try both, but right now, I am happy with this product and do recommend it.

Update: I'm still taking the Mendapause and about to order another bottle. My old symptoms are a thing of the past! I have not been experiencing any menopausal symptoms and will continue to purchase Mendapause. I do find that if I drink alcohol, (wine in particular) it seems to bring back the warm flashes, so I try to stay away from alcohol. Otherwise, works great for me! I now give it 5 Stars! Buy this product and stick with it, avoid alcohol as much as possible and watch what you eat. I've also included 2 Tbls of Milled Flaxseed in a fruit Smoothie everyday. I feel great!

I was looking for relief from anxiety which was linked to menopause. I did not have hot flashes (thank goodness). I was also experiencing the inability to focus mentally (similar to ADD). I have been alternating Mendapause tablets with HOT Flash (by Source Naturals)since the Hot Flash product was cheaper. This was my first time using any menapause supplement. Based on what I have read, Mendapause is better so I may go solely to this after my bottle of HOT Flash runs out. I have been taking these products for about 5 weeks now and can say that my anxiety and mental issues have significantly improved. i found this product to be great for the symptoms of menopause. while i was taking it i was diagnosed with ibs. i was cramping everyday and eventually had accidents. when i went in to see my gyn for my yearly checkup she told me it doesn't matter where the estrogen comes from plant/horse/me when it hits my receptors it's accepted. so taking mendapause was the same as taking hrt. so i stopped taking the product. within days all of my ibs symptoms stopped and i've not had any other problems. my sil is taking it and not having any problems. i wanted to share my experience because i feel that i can't be the only person that this has happened to.

I can now sleep at night and don't have full blown hot-flashes during the day. I may get a little warm at times but not the surge of heat that breaks out into a huge HOT FLASH. Mendapause was recommended to me for hot flashes over other herbal supplements because it was top rated in a wellesley health study. I had been having hot flashes about every hour for a couple of months before I decided I needed to do something about them. I would feel so hot that I'd have to sit under a fan or turn the air conditioning way down to where everyone else was cold. I already use soy products so soy supplements didn't seem to help and I don't drink coffee and tea (except herbal) nor do I get moody. After using the Mendapause for about 2 weeks I noticed that I wasn't getting as hot, having as many hot flashes, or sweating nearly as much at night as I was before - hence getting some better sleep. It's nice not having to take two showers a day! I don't need the air as cool now either. As for the hot flashes, I am still getting them, but they do not seem to be as bad or as often! I still need fans on at night and I still feel somewhat warmer than usual, but it is tolerable now. I am hoping that when I boost up my exercising that the hot flashes will diminish more while I continue to use the Mendapause. I will stay with the Mendapause until it doesn't seem to work any more (if that happens) and then I will look for something else. One bottle contains 60 capsules which is a 30 supply. Mendapause seemed to work for me the first week or so after I started taking it. I am taking it particularly to stop my hot flashes. The hot flashes improved greatly shortly after I started the product. I thought, "At last!" Then the stomach problems and headaches started. Within a short time of taking the capsule, I start to taste the sage (which I really don't like), then the gas and bloating starts; a headache usually follows. The recommended dosage is one capsule in the morning and one at night. Since I can't work at my job with all the gas issues, I've stopped taking it in the morning. The one capsule at night doesn't seem be enough to control my hot flashes. They've started back again, though I think they are marginally not as severe as before. I'm probably not going to buy another bottle since the side effects are too hard to handle. I'm just trading one problem for three others - it's not worth it! I'll have to go on to the next product in hopes that I'll eventually find something that works. Either that or just wait for the hot flashes to stop on their own!

I have tried this product for about a month now and the hot flashes and the cravings have ended. It took a few weeks but I was truly amazed. I have also lost about 5lbs which is a definite bonus. I have also recommended this product to several friends.

I have been taking Mendapause for 5 months now. At first I thought they weren't going to work but I kept taking them and it was the end of the fourth month before I started seeing a difference. The hot flashes became less and less intense and now all I am having is a slight flush three or four times a day, but no sweating or scrambling to the air conditioner to turn it down. I will continue taking these pills and I hope they continue working for me. I previously took I-cool and they helped for about three months and then I was right back where I started. These took longer to take effect for me and I am hoping they will stay effective.

I was on Premarin at $60 per month which I was unable to afford. I tried this product and have totally replaced the premarin. Not only does it work better than the premarin it cost much less. I have no hot flashes at all! I have only been on it for 2 weeks and I feel better and better each day. I highly recommend this product to anyone having to deal with menopause.

I have been taking the 2 tablets for the last 6 weeks. It has helped most of the time. I still have milder hot flashes at night. I am down to 3-4 milder ones during the night, instead of several very nasty ones. I need to look up to see if I can take 3 per day if that will finish with the hot flashes.

This product makes claims to relieve MOST if not ALL menopausal symptoms. However,when I took it, it didn't do much in relieving my hot flashes especially at night, along with insomina. Requesting my money back.
