I was skeptical about this product to be honest. I've learned that when it comes to my body, to change something requires Dedication and Discipline. I had fat stored in my stomach area (even though I'm skinny 6"3 and 200lb). I used this product for 2 weeks.

I did not change my routine and I never made abdominals and had poor cardio performance. I mainly did chest, bicep, back and other main muscles. During every exercise I felt the heat i was generating in my stomach area.

I had to readjust the Trimmer 3 to 4 times in a 2 hour period because of the water I was losing.

In just 2 weeks my stomach fat was greatly reduced and my waist looks way better. My Body fat is more or less the same 18% +/-1%.

I highly recommend it!

I have tried a number of different waist belts and this is by far the best one I have ever had. Several of the ones I have had before wore out quickly and number of them were not wide enough to cover the entire mid-section. This one is by far the strudiest and best one I have ever had over the past 10 years. I am ordering several more just in case the next time I need one I can not find this brand. Whatever you do - don't buy the belt by GoFit. It wears out in less than a month.

I did not buy this belt with huge expectations of loosing inches. Exercise and diet does that. I really wanted it because I have a condition called diatasis recti. Not serious, but it has resulted in a herniated belly button and looks terrible if I am exercising. I needed a tight, tough belt to hold everything together.

I have had this belt on all day now while working. The first belt I bought was the Bally Slimmer Belt With Zippers. I thought the zippers would make for a tight fitting belt versus the Velcro.

The Bally belt fell apart the first day. This is one is strong and sturdy. The Velcro system is fine.

After I had abdominal surgery, I was sent home with an elastic binder that fell apart after a week. I ordered the McDavid Waist trimmer to replace it and have been pleased with the quality so far. After a couple of weeks of constant wear, it still looks and feels like new. I wear it over my clothes, so I don't much of the sweating effect that you would have if you wore it next to your skin. I'm sure there are binders that offer more support, but this is the right amount for me, I feel secure without being uncomfortable.

I'm a size 12, and the belt fits fine with about 7 inches of overlap. It can be trimmed if necessary, but I liked the extra protection of having two layers across my incision, especially when driving because of the seat belt.

I LOVE this trimmer. So many great things to say about it. First the velcro is smaller so it remains smooth unlike others when you have to bunch up the velcro so you dont get scratched by it. Second, its great quality; thick and durable. I definitely sweat a lot with it on. Lastly, you can do any exercise with. Sit ups, cruches, anything. It stays in place and doesnt move. It stays tight to your body so it doesnt shift or barely get any of those annoying air gap you get with others. I highly recommend. Im considering another one just in case

I have a back support belt but it was wayyyy too hot and stiff. I read the reviews on this one and it appeared to be the best of the best so I thought I'd give it a shot and I'm so happy that I did! It fits nicely over my hips and abs reminding me to use good posture whether sitting or standing. Oddly enough, although it's called a "waist trimmer" I don't feel as hot as I did in my back support belt yet when I take it off after work it's full of sweat on the inside (I know it sounds gross but isn't that what it's made for?)! Oh, and a really nice feature is that it doesn't stink of plastic, neoprene, etc.! It's not at all bulky so no one knows I'm wearing it under my clothes! I don't know if my waist has trimmed at all but my back feels SO much better so for MY purposes this belt gets 5 Stars!

What I like about this waist trimmer is that it's comfortable, the velcro fastens very solidly, then it cleans well and dries SUPER fast (which is important if you work out twice a day, etc.) But maybe this trimmer isn't meant to be used while exercising..? It's bulky underneath clothing, and makes you sweat down your pant legs, but that's actually a good thing to me! I was disappointed though, to find that it slides up (only to be stopped by my bust, lol) after about 20 minutes of cardio =[ I have to hold it/physically apply pressure at my waist to keep it down!? I've even tried angling the velcro in different ways to prevent the uprising, but no luck. If anyone knows of a waist trimmer that doesn't do this, please share :)

I can't TELL you what I've gone through in search of an abdominal/back support - And finally my search is over! This product is opposite from others in many ways. This wrap stays in place nicely - doesn't roll up or down. It's soft on my skin with zero contact with scratchy Velcro. You can use a good amount of strength wrapping it without it narrowing. It doesn't catch on clothing, and it's very easy to close because there is a Velcro 'tab' as opposed to a same length strip that's impossible to line up. It's almost attractive over some clothing (such as my workout & relaxing clothes). I wear it all day, tightening it once or twice a day. It's very easy to wipe clean. I bought 2 because every time I fall in love with something, it gets discontinued, lol.

Note:
There is no boning
It is meant to make you sweat
There has been no black stain run-off onto my skin or clothing.
It helps to remind you to keep your abs tight

I have problems with my belly area so I used this during my workout regime together with a workout enhancer (cream), SweetSweat. I went on my elliptical for about 30 mins and then high intensity aerobic exercises plus sit-ups. After removing this trimmer, the part of my shirt around my belly area is completely soaked with sweat. And when you do your workout with this waist trimmer, you can feel the heat around your belly.

So, before I started the regime, my belly was at 47 inches. 5 days after using the waist trimmer and the cream, I lost 2 inches (now at 45 inch). This is not a guarantee that you will lose inches by wearing this and doing nothing, but you need to dedicate some time for exercises before you lose your inches.

Overall, I rate 5 stars for this item - IF YOU USE IT DURING YOUR EXERCISES.

So do consider on buying this item :)) I felt that I spent my money's worth ..

Realize, DIET is IMPORTANT! do not try supplements and expect to lose weight if your diet isn't up to par. People have a problem with losing weight, but if you can't sacrifice your irregular eating disorder for something neutral and lean then expect NO RESULTS. This waist band is incredible. I use it while I lift and/or run, and it honestly sweats a pound off the area it covers. You can actually feel the heat while you work out which I think is pretty awesome! I'm still unsure on how long the material will last, but I have no problem buying a new one when I feel it's necessary too. Buy this product ONLY if you have a exercise routine and diet plan. Overall, I give this a 4/5.

I have bought a couple of waist trimmers in the past. Never happy with any of them.
On the contrary, this one is very nice. It's supple, wide, comfortable to wear. Doesn't fold over.
I like it. A very good price, too. Have I lost weight using this? I don't know. I exercised a couple of times wearing this belt. I did see a lot of sweat on the inside of the belt but that doesn't tell me much as I do sweat a lot when I do intense exercise (running on treadmill) for 30 minutes at a time.

If nothing else, this belt will help you keep up the good posture even if temporarily. I'd recommend it.

I use this on my walks with my dog and on the treadmill...sweat alot! Very comfortable and easy to use. I did not cut off the excess but wraped it around me for extra support. (fits waist up to 50" and can cut to size). Velcro is very strong and belt itself is not bulky but lies flat. After use, I just rinse it with water and hang it on my closeline to air dry. Good quality and reasonable price.

This product arrived on time (within three days of ordering it), and it fits well. Once worn, it feels comfortable (feels almost unnoticeable after a while). Because of the inner-lining and, of course, your body temperature, you may feel that you are a little sweaty underneath, if you do extreme stuff while wearing it (I'd advise doing little exercises to help with the waist band's work). You may want to also keep a lint brush around, because the waist band's outer covering can pick of things like lint (and if you have a pet, hair/fur). Also, when worn, please refrain from wrapping the waist band beyond your limits. Wrapping it around your waist to the point of extreme tightness (which I can see as being a temptation) will not help you, and make sure, when putting it on, that you wrap the band at a size where you are going to be comfortable when both sitting and being on your feet.

Prenatal Cradle, Belly Bra And McDavid Waist Belt Comparison - Work of Life on Nov 14, 2011 I Like

This is one of those rare times when the cheapest option actually turns out to be the best. I will set this up by saying that I carried low and large. I am tall and have a long torso. I had debilitating Pelvic Girdle Pain (including the pubic joint) by the end of the first trimester that never went away. I had swelling in my legs and ankles caused by pressure in my pelvis. I had lower and upper back problems and had ongoing chiropractic care through my entire pregnancy. I needed good belly support! I purchased the Prenatal cradle and the Bellybra on Amazon. I already owned the McDavid waist belt (also purchased on Amazon) as I had been using it from time to time for lower back support before I became pregnant.

The prenatal cradle was the most expensive option and simply a gawd awful contraption. It was not easy to wear under clothes or over clothes and did not offer relief. I found it to actually add to my discomfort. The elastic was too narrow and cut into my lower belly. The vaginal support attachment was very stiff and dug into the tendons on each side (inner thighs). It was not adjustable enough to fit my dimensions well. I returned it.

The bellybra was my second favorite support and is a product I would use again. It was comfortable for part of my second trimester, but by the end of it (second trimester), the elastic was cutting into my belly and rolling/ riding up. Though it may appear to offer breast support, I did not find that to be the case. A bra is still needed, but the combination was relatively cool and comfortable (before I grew out of it)

My favorite was the $12 McDavid neoprene waist belt. I wore the McDavid off and on through my entire pregnancy and it was the only support that *never* cut into my belly and was adjustable enough to fit for my entire pregnancy. I loved it so much that I wore out the velcro on the first one and ordered another one. I sometimes clipped a pair of wide suspenders to the McDavid belt for extra support. This combination was adjustable and comfortable through the later parts of my pregnancy and could reasonably be concealed under clothing (though I would always wear the neoprene McDavid belt over fabric..like maternity pants or a bellyband). Once I put the suspenders on, I didn't have to take them off again and could put it on like slipping on a jacket. Just fasten the velcro in front and go. One additional advantage of the neoprene belt was that it kept the skin on my lower belly supported and moist. Combined with my religious use of Shea butter, I think this helped prevent stretch marks that would have been otherwise extensive.

I use this while training. I do alot of jumping in my workouts and this keeps my belly fat stabilized while Im jumping, hopping and skipping. And the sweat just pours! I just finished a TurboFire routine and the sweat went down my back and drenched my pants all the way down to my hamstrings which NEVER happens when i dont use the McDavid. My entire ass is wet, its as if i sat in a puddle of water. The Velcro is very durable and once you press it into place it wont budge or slip no matter what kind of exercise you do or how sweaty it gets between your skin and the material. It's easy to tighten and loosen. I am 4'11 and it fits my torso area perfectly, well it kinda rolls up on the bottom in the back but thats only because of the curve of my butt. The End

This band is easy to get on and off, easy to wash, and comfortable to wear. It's great for your back, stomach, and sides. I bought one for myself and one for my mother who injured her back in a bicycle accident. It supports her back great and supports my post-partum stomach great! You do sweat...so you will lose weight. For this reason, be aware that washing it is crucial, but it's easy to wash and dry.

First thing is i was sceptical about buying this product as it seemed only for men...but it had the best reviews..so took my chance and ordered it.
Opted for 2 day shipping but it arrived the very next day..so thrilled was abt it..and the belt just fit me fine and after the work out definetely there was heavy sweating around the mid section..just hope that transaltes to weight loss soon...
My only complaint is when i removed the belt there were some black fibers stuck to my body ..they could be easily wiped off...Since i was otherwise thrilled with the product didn't feel like lessening a star

This simple yet effective product works like a charm. The elastic material and strong hold create a firm grasp around the abdomen. The belt retains body heat and provides a good support for the back while lifting weights at the gym.

I bought this over a month ago and love it! I am impressed with the quality of the materials and the velcro. The McDavid fits very well. It offers the support I was looking for and neoprene for heat retention. I have not had any problems with the velcro or fraying of the neoprene material.

Last spring I bought Valeo Neoprene Waist Trimmer (Item model number: VA4498BK) and had problems with it. The materials were cheap and frayed. The velcro ended up ripping off. Stay away from the Valeo!

The only negative is that I bought the McDavid at $10.99 in Dec 09 and it is currently $16.99

I purchase from amazon (with a quick turnaround)the McDavid Waist Trimmer belt to help with my stomach and the day I received it, I twisted my side and pulled a muscle after tripping from my shoe. I thought about the belt that I had just received in the mail and put it on, well boy did it come on time, it really helped with support to the muscle. I have been very please with results. This belt has assisted me with lost of inches and trimmering my stomach to where I want it to be along with the stomach support and it is as good as others have stated in the reviews. I've been putting on alot of weight in recent years and have a pretty big belly. Any guys who have this know how sore your lower back can become because of this. I have been going back to martial arts now and I couldn't survive until I found this. My lower back pain was out of control. I am about a size 56 suit now and this band stretches all the way around me and provides fantastic support, doesn't slip and most importantly, even with all the pressure I am putting on it...the velcro does not come loose. I will keep using this to work out until my back gets stronger, which it is, but this is really a good product.

My mother and I bought this product at the same time and we use it same way, same amount of time. She has more abdominal excess than me and waist trimmer makes her sweat more. She lost 3 inches in 2 months. She sweats whenever she wears it, working out or not. I only sweat when I work out and I lost about .5 inch. So, works different for different body types. I think its a good product. Gives nice back support while working out and makes you sweat more. The quality is also good, durable Velcro straps.

Bought this about three weeks ago and have used it almost continually. Start out in the morning, with tightness and discomfort in my back it goes away as soon as I put it on, really. Use it almost all day at work setting tile. Take a Shower and wash it too and then start over next day.
Wife tried it on my suggestion, her back was out, and now its been three days and I have not seen it, I am buying another. It has great holding power and while it does look used, it is far from done. It improves posture as a bonus and all for under twenty bucks

I bought this product last year to replace another trimmer belt. I used the belt help conceal my muffin top while I was losing it and I still wear it while I workout. I have nothing but good things to say.

PROS:
1. The material is durable. This belt has out lasted any other waist trimmer belt that I've had.

2. The Velcro is on a tab in the middle of the belt. With other belt I had to deal with slippage of the Velcro and would often have scratches on my stomach after a workout. This Velcro stays in place. Zero slippage.

3. The price. I've had this belt for a year and I'm just now having to replace it. With other brands I'd have to replace my belt every 4 or 5 weeks.

I only wear my belt for a few hours a day about 5 days a week when I workout so I cannot speak for those that may wear the belt for longer periods of time. I, however, love this product. It is perfect for what I use it for.

I've been using this now for about a month have have seen significant improvement in my abdominal strength. I initially purchased this for lower back pain, and I have found that it definitely helps with that pain, and I get the added benefit of being leaner and stronger around the abdomen. Well worth the money!
