It is in slightly grey-yellow or pink color, with fragrant smell and cool feeling. The hemorrhoids ointment clears away heat and toxic material, removes the putrid tissues and stimulates the new tissue growth. It can be used to relieve hemorrhoidal pain, to shrinks swollen hemorrhoidal tissues and to heal anal fissure.
This Chinese cream actually does help with the pain a little bit, not a whole lot, but it cools the swelling and there is some relief. It's the first ointment I've tried that does something. As the previous poster said, it's like applying an ice cube to the area, with some anti-swelling agents. Expect some immediate relief, though partial.
Hemorrhoids, particularly thrombosed ones, are a serious matter that requires strong painkillers like Ibuprofen and Percoset (there's not a lot that topical creams can do). But this particular cream can be used in conjunction, for maximum relief with the swelling. Recommended.
That said, this product is fantastic! It is extremely cooling - even after the initial application. You'll feel nothing but a blissful cool tingle as the swollen 'roids shrink. Seriously, it is like applying rose-colored ice cream to your bum... and the cool LASTS. I liked to mix this stuff with Nupercainal to get a cooling and numbing effect. After a day and a night, I can actually think of something other than on the pain and discomfort radiating from my backside. Buy this product. It is inexpensive and will let you focus on things other than your sore rectum.
The main ingredient is synthetic musk, have no idea why it works but whatever is in it has an instant and near total freezing power that numbs completely my whole butt. Wonderful stuff...I just started taking the pills that they suggest to take with these called Fargelin, I figure it's better to nip this thing in the butt and use everything possible to get them to heal or go away.
Who knows maybe I can now go to bathroom without having to scream in agony. At least they kill the pain so half the battle is complete.
I saw good reviews for this cream and ordered some for next day delivery. IMMEDIATE relief. It was very cooling and soothing, very much like putting an ice cube on the area as other reviewers have noted. After using the cream for 4 days, my hemorrhoids were gone. I don't know if this cream helped them go away, or whether all of my doctor's prescibed actions finally took hold, but if I find myself in the unpleasant position of needing hemorrhoid assistance again, this cream will be the first thing I use.
I can tell you this.. Nothing, NOTHING works like this product! It soothes and it shrinks to the point where I can carry on with my life instead of my thoughts being so, well, anal-centric constantly. It was ruining my life. I've tried all the over-the-counter products, and even tried the "crystal-method" and none did a damn thing for me.
I had never needed a product like this until recently, but I'm guessing that in the pre-Meth-Lab days, all butt-creams worked this well. But that was before they took out the good, effective chemicals (pseudoephedrine, etc.) I don't know.
All I know is that THIS STUFF DOES THE JOB WHERE OTHERS HAVE FAILED. Buy it and get on with your life!
Here's a tip: Cut the fingers off a disposable latex and you have five easy one-finger applicators. Putting it on directly is the very best way, and not too much of it...
I got him this along with Prep H wipe. After few weeks of use, he told me that he can walk now without pain, and the coolness feels nice. I don't think this ointment actually helped him to get healed from the hemorrhoids, but only help to numb the area. BTW, he told me that the Prep H Wipe didn't do much help at all, it was more like just a regular baby water wipe.
This product really does provide a cooling sensation, calming down any hemorrhoid immediately. It does have an odd smell, but nobody gets close enough to my butt to ever smell it.
Throw away your useless preperation-h tube and get this!

Few months ago, my "area" flared up due to sitting too long on the stool plus bad constipation. It was really uncomfortable to walk around (no pain, just discomfort, so I don't think a "roid" yet, but it's in early development stage). I applied this product on right after I got it. It was the greatest feeling ever because it cooled the area down immediately. First day 3 applicants, next morning, my bowl movement were a piece of cake and the flare calmed down. I continued using it for the next few days and noticed that I "got to go" every morning, which was great. I stopped after a week because the flare was gone. Warning: the fragrant was unbearable; you can smell it in your dream "yuk". I was really embarrassed wearing that fragrant with me all day at work.
When I was 28 weeks pregnant, I had developed 2 raisin size "roid" on top of the plum size flare. It was just extremely painful and so uncomfortable. I couldn't walk straight nor sat still. I applied this product on, more than 8 times per day, the cooling sensation helped with the pain but it didn't shrink the "roid". 1st tube was empty, and I abused the second tube due to its "cool" feeling, using more than 8 times per day. Started the 3rd tube in a short period of time. This 3rd tube has no to little cooling sensation, the fragrant was very light to none. I used it for one day, applied almost every 30 mins, the pain was still unbearable, I couldn't take it any more so I did the following: 5-10 mins sitz bath ($10 amazon) with Epsom salt ($2 Wal-Mart), equate hem suppositories ($5 Wal-Mart), TN Dickinson witch hazel wipes ($6walmart), witch hazel liquid ($3 Wal-Mart), and fiber advance gummies ($10 Wal-Mart), acetaminophen (100 count @ 500mg/count Wal-Mart) + this Mayinglong Musk which I squeezed every drop of it out from the 2nd tube which I dug up from the garbage bin, this one gave me back the cooling sensation which numbed the area temporary... Next morning, (which is today) "I had Dr appointment". The flare calmed, the pain was reduced, 1 of the "roid" was reduced in size as well, still painful but not as extreme as yesterday. Dr said from now until delivery, I might have to deal with the "roid" as it is really common during 3rd trimester pregnancy and the most important thing is the "sitz" bath.
My conclusion is that this is a great product if you are at the early stage of developing "roid", once you have the "roid", this alone won't help. I personally think the suppositories + liquid witch hazel (using cotton ball) + sitz bath with Epsom salt + acetamophen + Mayinglong Musk would definitely a must. Liquid witch hazel is better because it contains 85% witch hazel, where as the wipes contain only 50%. With this Mayinglong Musk - hopefully you get the "working" tube, not like the 3rd one from the package I received. I gave it a 3 because it only helped during the early "roid" stage, bad fragrant, and one ouf of 3 tubes I received was bad.
I was so much in pain that i decided to give Mayinglong Musk cream a try. I also purchased High Strength Fargelin 36 Tablets along with Mayinglong cream based on some recommendations in the reviews, I am in joy after a week of using the cream / Fargelin tablets. When used together, they work wonderful. If you are thinking whether to buy this, i would say PLEASE GIVE IT A TRY, soon you will have a smile like mine. Also the smell did not bother me too much.
The last three weeks, I have had stomach problems and diarrhea leading to a horrible flare up. I have tried absolutely everything, including horse chestnut cream from the health food store. That was very temporary relief, but as soon as it dried it was hurting again. I was in agonizing pain, and the only thing I could do is take 4 or 5 baths a day to feel slightly better while I was in it.
I got this cream yesterday, and after using it twice yesterday and once this morning, I feel like a new person! I think my stomach wouldn't stop hurting because of the pain, so I continued having diarrhea because my body felt so stressed. Now that the pain is relieved, I feel better all over! This truly is the miracle cream I've been looking for! It does have that "oriental" herbal smell, but I don't care! The hemorrhoid that was either thrombose, or very close, is much softer and less inflamed.
I just can't tell you how happy I am and what a great value this product is!
It has an unusual odor to it, but it does not bother me at all. Applies easily and immediately gives comfort! no joke!
It comes with small inserts that can be used for internal application [please...only use it in the South Door]. I personally have not used it in that manner.
the tubes are small but it only takes a little dab to do the job as far as surface application.
I will buy it again if I ever get through the first four tubes. :-)
I like how it does not contain shark oil as some other products do. We really need to stop killing our planet's life forms.

Wow. I agree with the other reviewers: I was a bit surprised after applying this product. It felt like an ice cube was down there. ;) Very effective at providing relief. It didn't completely take away the pain, but it went a long way towards that goal. It smells a bit like Blistex; not unpleasant at all. Best thing I have tried so far, no doubt about that. Great price, too. In summary I strongly recommend trying this product.
1. increased my water intake by double ( bought 1 of those blue mini water jugs that look like the the big 5 gallon ones)
2. Increased my fiber (bought FiberONE chewable tablets; I would just break 1 tablet in 4 an swallow them)
3. I bought "Fargelin" Chinese pills ( took 9 a day for 1 week and decreased the does to 3 in the morning after)
4. Used this amazing smelly cream "Mayinglong Musk" (smells like soil/ wet dirt) after every bowl movement or when I had an itch (a lot). instant cooling relief.
5. I bought Epsom salt and would add 2 cups to the bath tub with warm water and I would soak my whole body for 20 minutes then shower and use only Johnson hypoallergenic baby wash on body every day for a month ( relaxes you body too).
6. Take advil when was in moderate-severe pain as it is anti-inflammatory. ( basically everyday for 1 week in half)
7. Would put Triple antibiotic + pain relief ointment just on outside of anus after using Mayinglong.
8. Bought 2 pure witch hazel bottles 1 with alcohol and 1 without. Then bought those big cotton make-up pads and would alternate wiping with each witch hazel on every bowel movement ( don't get the brand medicated pads, they only contain 50% witch hazel and are more expensive)
9. This is the most awkward, but so WORTH it. I bought "anuice FDA approved device" and used it once a day for two weeks before I went too sleep and when I was done with that I would use the "Mayinglong musk" cream again. This devise is inserted in the anus and it use cryotherapy to treat the hemorrhoids
10. I would take 1 white oak capsule before bed.
11.(optional) I would randomly use prep h with aloe-vera when I needed extra relief.
I know it's a lot but this will CURE you as it did me, if your dedicated and stick to the tedious routine. At worst, it just suppresses you hemorrhoids for 1 year. I completely stopped doing all the above steps and haven't had any returns or flare ups. I have even passed those rock hard stools that feels like your being violated with no blood after wiping. The only drawback is that it permanently stains underwear, so wear pads. Although smaller than a tube of the usual prescription ointment, it lasts about as long. One of the biggest problems with hemorrhoids is the irritation due to the constant exposure to BM, and due to wiping it after each movement. This product seems to reduce that irritation, allows it to heal, and protects it. Works best if you clean well after each movement (use a nose syringe bulb as a portable Bidet, and use "The Hemorrhoid Remedy" to create a wash solution).
At first, the smell is a bit strong (not odor though) but after getting use to it it actually smells quite good. After applying it before bed and before going to work, the situation got so much better in 3 days. I'm not kidding, in 3 days. If you have mild to severe hemorrhoids and did not have the time to go to the doctors, you can try this. I definitely recommend this.

alot of people say the smell of mayinglong musk cream is unbearable !!! that is so mot true .. when i received the product i was expecting it to smell soo bad ( based on what other reviews said) ... it smells like soil or wet dirt and vix ..you can hardly smell it ..its going up your ass anyways so why does it matter !!

along with using these products i also drank a lot more water and added more fiber to my diet and i used the witch hazel after every BM

I stopped looking after that. I will definitely not be using these anymore. The thing is I was so desperate I tried every home remedy I could and by the time these arrived, my bum feels the best it has in months. I was able to get back on my bike the last two days! This is what worked for me--fargelin pills and cayenne tea (1 tsp to about a cup of hot water). I also mixed witch hazel with apple cider vinegar and mixed in a couple cloves of minced garlic to use topically. It gave more relief than just plain witch hazel, but it sure does stink!! My rhoids are not totally gone and I'm not sure if it is the cayenne or the fargelin that has really helped, but I will be out of fargelin today, and will continue to drink a cup of tea daily. I hope this helps someone, I know i was desperate when I bought these.
I don't like to buy outside of the USA, especially things from China. But this ointment is unbelievable. I have found that just "a little dab 'll do ya" and I do that after every movement, which is when my symptoms are at their worst. At first, it feels like an ice cube, ahhhhhh, so refreshing! Then, that dies down and there is no itching or burning whatsoever. A miracle if ever there was one.
And don't worry about the unusual smell. Where this stuff is going, does it really matter??
If you have any problems in this regard, GET THIS PRODUCT. It works, it really, really does!
My 9 year old was suffering from constipation and bloody stools.
I gave her 2 teaspoons of Milk of Magnesia a day and this cream.
After 3 days she is healed. She says this stuff works really well.

On my end for the past week I've been taking a big gulp of Milk of Magnesia and
using this cream. My hemmoroids seem to have disappeared.
Either one alone isn't enough but combined they really work well to clear up Hemmoroids.
This product is better than any other creme on the market.
I thought cortisone cream did the best but this herbal cream did seem to provide some cooling effect and vaseline-like protection. Would I buy it again? Probably not.
The title though reflects my disappointment in that one of the boxes was completely empty. Not worth asking for a replacement but it does linger in my mind.
Yes, this does soothe things - but you can also use witchhazel alcohol which is much cheaper (may sting a little though)...
A good product, but not really a long term solution thing.
