My husband was having severe stomach issues. He had a history of stress induced ulcers several years ago that resolved by drinking raw cabbage juice 2 times a day. However about 6 months ago we went through a very stressful situation and he started complaining of really bad heartburn whenever he drank water between meals, this progressed severe belching (that seemed endless, we wondered, where does all the air come from?) with pressure in the base of his throat and severe acid regurgitation that was so bad at night that he couldn't sleep.

I should note that he is extremely healthy, eats a whole food diet, isn't overweight and is an avid athlete.

We did some research and decided that H-pylori was a possibility. We bought the mastic gum he started experiencing relief immediately. Within 10 minutes he was still belching but he had no heartburn- he said it tasted like pine trees. Which, he says, was quite pleasant after all the heartburn.

After he started the mastic gum and it had a positive effect, we put him on a gluten and dairy free diet, manuka honey 1 tablespoon 3 times a day, and cabbage or broccoli shake daily (made in our Vitamix). Of all of this, however, we both feel the mastic gum had the biggest effect. This is an amazing product. I highly recommend it before getting on the endless train ride that the pharmaceutical companies will offer you (they don't want to cure you, a patient cured is a customer lost). My husband plans to take the mastic gum daily for a total of 3 months as is advised in the literature. He takes 1000mg on an empty stomach in the morning and at night.

I guess there's some debate in the research world about whether mastic gum really kills helicobacter pylori, but I can tell you it worked for me. My stomach biopsy tested positive for h. pylori and then when I took the mastic gum my symptoms disappeared and a stool sample tested negative. I didn't have any other treatment. A few times when my stomach didn't seem to be working so well I took it again and got improvement. Jarrow was the brand I used and it seemed great. You want a strong resiny smell. I took it an hour before breakfast, and probably took it at night too since the usual recommendation is 500 mg twice a day for at least two weeks. I also took a good sniff and said "die, suckers!" That part is optional!

I have had stomach problems for a few years now, it really affected my sleep, waking with a nervous feeling in my gut and recently found out I have gastritis and H.pylori, (bad digestion, lots of burping and gas, feeling terrible, tired and general system down) I did a course of antibiotics that started to work but then a few days into it the old symptoms came back, but I was glad I found out what the cause was, I did some internet research and discovered Mastic gum as a natural cure for H.pylori and started using Mastic gum a few days after the antibiotics finished. Very happy with my purchase. After using this for 7 days (2 pills once a day) I have seen tremendous improvement in my bowel movement and most important, I don't feel anymore the stomach pains and acid reflux.
Note: I combined this with Manuka Honey(Wedderspoon 16+)3 teaspoons/day and GNC Acidophilus Probiotics Complex(4 billion CFU) 1 pill/day(1 hr. before breakfast).

Jarrow Mastic Gum has alleviated my constant sore throat, itching of the throat, burping. Very happy I bought it here and it was a super reasonable price.
Anyone that may have bacteria in their stomach or throat this is the perfect solution.
Has no taste you can smell it they are capsules you take. I took 2 in the morning when I first got up and 2 at night before going to bed for 30 days my stomach and throat do not bother me anymore at all.

Following the advice on someone's personal blog (I suspect I'm not allowed to mention the blog specifically on here), I used this mastic gum, Manuka honey, and coconut oil to rid myself of h. pylori bacteria. That is, I THINK I did. I self-diagnosed myself with the infestation, based on symptoms (random nausea; acid burning throat, especially after eating; instant tight inflation of my belly after eating ANYTHING; low stomach acid; and weirdly, breathing difficulties. This can be a symptom.). I took these three, three times daily for two months, to be sure. After two weeks, my symptoms had all either disappeared or subsided greatly. I can't be positive I'm totally free of whatever was causing all that, BUT I know that I got drastically better and haven't had those symptoms crop up since. Works for me.

I tested positive for pylori back in February. My doctor gave me antibiotics, which I did not feel it had any effects, but soon my pain went away. Unfortunately, it came back 8 months later. At this point, I did not want to take the antibiotics again, so I opted to give Mastic Gum a try along with Manuka Honey 16+ (organic). I took 2 pills of Mastic Gum daily and a spoon of honey at night for 4 weeks. Yesterday, I got my result back from the lab and the results were negative for Pylori. I told the my doctor how I did it and he said that whatever I did worked...although he also said that sometimes the body itself fights it back. In addition, red apples helped me neutralize the effects of some meals that contained garlic and other spices.

I never wrote a review on any product before. I have gone thru extreme stress during the past year causing me stomach ulcers. I was taking medication for three weeks with no effect. I'd been searching for something other than a prescription to help me with my HP symptoms. I have tried many different natural approaches/supplements with temporary results. After taking these mastic gum capsules, I noticed a difference very quickly and now, one month later, have not experienced any recurring symptoms. I have been having a vibration and pressure along where my gallbladder is. I saw a doctor and he thought it was heartburn affecting the nerves in my stomach and sending signals to my side. Obviously I took the heartburn pills and they had no positive results whatsoever. I've tried a bunch of different options, from gallbladder treatments, gerd treatments, heartburn pills, digestive enzymes and numerous others. I have celiacs disease and was diagnosed a long time ago and live a gluten free life, making 100 percent sure I am not taking any gluten in. Out of the tons of pills I have tried to relieve the pressure and vibration sensation these have worked the best. I will still have my days... but its been about a week and a half on these and more often than not now I can go on throughout the day normally. I have paired this with D-Limonene and this treatment seems to have alleviated the symptoms the most. Just an FYI in case any of you out there are having similar symptoms.

This stuff seems to do the trick! I have been plagued lately with severe heartburn usually ocurring at night after I am asleep. This product really worked for me. My blood test revealed positive H-pylori infection after my trip outside the country. But I believe my prolonged use of acid blockers triggered this stomach pain. The pain did not go away even after 2 rounds of antibiotics. After reading other customer reviews, I ordered this product. I am only taking 500mg once before breakfast. Also, taking a teaspoon twice a day (once before breakfast and once before dinner).My stomach pain and discomfort are completely gone and also my recent breath test revealed negative. I am also taking one a day align probiatic before my breakfast. I almost stopped my prescription medicine.

Have had digestion issues for the past couple of years. The prescription drugs work while I am taking them, but they can only be taken for a limited amount of time. Did some research & read lots of raving reviews about this mastic gum. I had bought some Jarrow brand capsules before, so I thought that I would try these. This gum works great! Don't know why it works or how it works, but it just works for me! I think that we can learn a lot from the healing cures of the past!

I have had a gnawing feeling in my URQ (right side, below my rib) for almost 3 years. The ER doctor thought it was a peptic ulcer. The prescribed medications never worked, and this feeling wouldn't stay away. It recently got pretty bad again, and was accompanied by heartburn and bloating. I began drinking aloe juice every day, then ordered this product as well and took a pill at night and one in the morning. Between the two, I feel none of those symptoms anymore.

I have taken this product and it has made me constipated. The product gave me severe burnings and abdominal pains radiating to my back. I do not believe in this product, since it has caused me great difficulty in passing stool and a lot of pain. I have to see a doctor to see if anything can be done. Do not take any pills that are not prescribed by a doctor!!This product harms the liver and kidneys.Do not use it under any circumstances. I wish I didn't use it. I would rather live with H pylori than use Mastic gum.
