Great For MS'ers Who Use Copaxone - Diana De Avila "MS G on Oct 4, 2009

I am an woman with MS who takes every day subcutaneously. The syringes are individually wrapped and pre-loaded with glatiramer acetate. I wanted to mention that this device works great for Copaxone needles too (not just insulin). This is so handy and is much easier to keep around than a large sharps container.

I was happy to find this item and have had no problems whatsoever.

Great invention!!!! :)

Safe-Clip - Julianne Bonta on Sep 26, 2009

This clipper of used needles is a a true time-saver. It allows syringes to be disposed of in the regular trash instead of in a medical container that many spend extra money for. If you use several needles a day, this saves you the cost of special containers and the safe-clip holds a lot of clipped needles - two years worth!

Cutter Blade Problems... - Legendary Yeti on Apr 4, 2009

I bought one of these a long time ago. It lasted a long time and I had to throw it away when it was full of clipped needles. The second one I bought worked great for two months, then suddenly the cutting blade got so dull that it just bent the needle instead of cleanly cutting it. I'm not sure I'd buy this model again.

Handy Little Thing - Susan H. "Susan" on Sep 7, 2008

I love this little device. It's a safe, easy, portable way to handle needle disposal and it's very reasonably priced.

BD Safe Clip - Joyce A. Yensel on Jul 7, 2008

Would not do without this product. I carry 2 around with me all the time!

Space Saver - Matt Padgett on Sep 28, 2011

This item is great. I found it while looking for a small travel sized sharps container. This item cuts out the need to carry a sharps container all together. The item stays closed when not in use. Give the back a small squeeze and it will pop open. Insert the needle and close the clipper. It snaps off the needle allowing you to discard your syringe in the trash.

BD Insulin Syringe Needle Clipper - Naomi Marks on Aug 3, 2011

This tool has become essential to my routine. I keep one at home and one in my purse.
Not only is it a convenient safety device but it also decreases the space needed to dispose of the syringe thus saving money on sharps containers.
The only improvement I can think of would be that the clipper could accommodate the sharp end of the lancets.

More Than I Thought - sunny on Jun 24, 2011

I was very pleased with this product. I thought I was only getting one, but it came in packs of two! That was a nice surprise. The product is excellent. Does exactly what it says it should do...clips the tips off of needles instead of having to throw the whole needle away in those big red containers and having them stay in the home. Very happy with our purchase!

Easy And Sufficient - ladyfaith on Nov 2, 2010

This is extremely easy to use and compact enough to carry around in my purse. It holds up to 1500 needles; I didn't believe it at first because of how light and small it looks, but it holds true. I like it so much that I bought 3 packs!

Needle Clippers - Sherry on Oct 17, 2010

Because I have to inject medicine everyday, the Sharps containers are not large enough to hold everything, the Bd Safe Clip is wonderful, you can clip off the needle, it stays inside the container of the clipper and you just throw the rest of it in the garbage. No fear of someone getting a syringe with a needle attached. You don't get hurt or lose the needles by trying to clip them off yourself. Once the small needle holder is full then you put it in your Sharps container. They say it will hold 300 to 500 needles, I've only had mine for a month so I'm not there yet.

Good product!!!!

This Is A "BEST BUY" Product - Debi S. "canary" on May 21, 2010

This is a "Best Buy" product because:** I firmly believe it is the my responsibility as a needle-user to prevent someone else from being harmed by my 'dirty' needle.**
As a former nurse, I have been stuck more than once by a carelessly disposed of dirty needle, which caused months of concern about infection and communicable diseases.

* it is very simple to use
* clips tiny to large size needles
* takes minimal strength to clip needle
* stores 1,500 needles in safe, non-breakable container for home use
* keeps dirty but reusable needles out of environment by bluntly snipping off at hub of syringe
* case has minimal environmental footprint when disposed of in landfill

MOST IMPORTANT: KEEPS USED NEEDLES OUT OF HANDS THE INNOCENT OR USER BY MAKING NEEDLE IMPOSSIBLE TO USE AGAIN

I did alot of research online, by phone and mail to find some place in my community that would safely dispose of used needles to keep them out of our environment. From doctor's office to area hospitals, to my state's Environmental Protection Agency and Center for Disease Control, the advice was... put them in protective container (as in coffee can taped shut!)and throw them in trash. But, the landfill didn't want them as even red bio-hazardous waste boxes can be crushed by landfill machinery or weight of waste, exposing needles to employees and animals.

As long as I need needle-delivered medication, I will buy BD Safe Clip Needle Clipper and Storage Containers AND a Sharp's Bio-hazardous Waste Container for used syringes. I have peace of mind I have done everything I can to keep my grandkids safe in my home from needle injury.

Horrible Customer Service - ZOO's mommy on Nov 29, 2009

Bought four and within the first 4 days we went through 2 of them because they "jammed" up. Contacted the company almost 2 weeks ago, and they have never responded. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

Seller Confusion - Paul K. Bean on Feb 10, 2008

I ordered two 2 packs (4 Safe-Clips total) and received two 1 packs (BD item 328235). When I pointed this out they sent me another 1 pack. I'm still short a Safe-Clip.
They don't seem to know what they have in stock.

Does The Job, But... - Cynthia Thomas "Hedd on Dec 19, 2011

...the revamped design from the old BD clipper doesn't really add anything to the operation of it, and the old one just seemed sturdier and easier to use (not that either of them are difficult). Was going to go with an entirely different manufacturer, then read a review that indicated that the new BD clipper is the only one that allows the needle to be clipped closely off the newer, pre-filled insulin pen units. Since I can't replace the old BD style that worked great for 20 years, I went with the updated model. I hope the new one also stores 20 years-worth of needles.

Needle Clipper - Robert on May 9, 2011

Very convenient to use. Eliminates need to handle needle after use as well as the necessity of sharps disposal containers for needle disposal.

Very Convinent! - AppMac on Apr 22, 2011

I am very happy to have a product like this, it makes it so much easier when traveling with syringes!

Convenient - TresOfReality on Feb 22, 2011

We were very relieved to find the Needle Clipper. The one thing that doesn't fit into the insulin case the hospital sent home with us is a sharps container. It's also the one thing we were constantly leaving at home. Now we have a small, convenient way to dispose of the needles that fits into the case.

Perfect Solution For Syringe Disposal - Gregg Myers on Nov 20, 2010

This is the perfect solution for syringe disposal. Each of the clippers holds 1,500 needles, and is a little bigger than a nail clipper. In addition to rendering the syringe safe for disposal without a Sharps container, it makes in unusable for reuse.

Clipper - C. Skinner on Sep 17, 2010

This product is a handy, vital addition to anyone who needs to inject insulin. It is a safe, efficient way to dispose of sharps. I highly recommend it.

BD Safe Clip And Me - Anita Mcclaskey on May 18, 2010

This is a wonderful little invention. It's great for travel and a lot less bulky and cumbersome than the sharps plastic container. I have MS and it works great for my Copaxone needles. Whether you have diabetes or another problem, like me, getting prepaired to inject yourself takes time. The safe disposal of the needles shouldn't. We all want something quick and easy. This is it. It takes up no room and be easily stored with your needles and can pack easily for travel. I'm new to all this stuff, having started my injections only a month 1/2 ago, and this device gives me one less thing to worry about. I love it.

Great Gardget - JadeVictoria on Mar 3, 2010

I love this little gadget. It is easy to use, and now I don't have to find a place to dispose of my sharps. I've had mine for 4 months and it still works great.
