Best Humidifier I've Ever Had! - music appreciator on Jan 24, 2011

This is by far the best humidifier I've ever had. Living in a cold weather climate (MA), I need the humidity to counteract the effects of dry air. Otherwise, I get nose bleeds all the time. I took a chance when buying it as there were no reviews for me to read. It is pretty much as advertised. The 1.6 gallon reservoir has an easy-to-pick-up handle for refilling. The cap is a bit difficult to unscrew, so I put a lubricant on the threads to grease it up which helps. It does shut off automatically when dry/empty. It's very quiet and does not leak. I put it next to my bed and it doesn't disturb my sleep at all. It's very easy to clean. Use a little white vinegar once a week. Just put the ceramic nano-silver filter in cup of white vinegar for ten minutes and use a few drops of vinegar to clean the sensor. No need to buy new filters, cartridges, or mineralization pads. I have noticed a little white dust in the room, but far less than the Bionaire ultrasonic humidifier I used to have. The Hygrostat sensor indicates the humidity level. Not sure how accurate it is though. Mist output can be regulated: low, medium, and high. There is a button to produce negative ions. I use it, but don't really know if it makes any difference in the quality of the air. I have yet to try the warm air mist, so I can't comment on that. And lastly, there's no way I can get 60 hours of continuous use without refilling, not unless I want my room to stay dry which defeats the point of having a humidifier. Two nights is more like it. You might get 60 hours if you put the humidity level at low or at a desired level of 45%. I can't comment on how much electricity it uses and I don't know how long it will last. I've had it for one week and so far and I love it. I highly recommend it.

Excellent Dehumidifier And Excellent Customer Service - that_lady on Oct 28, 2011

We needed a humidifier for our lab and spent many hours researching different options. We chose the Heaven Fresh HF 707 for 3 reasons:

* Ceramic nano-silver filter - humidifiers are magnets for mould and bacteria, so this is a must
* Built-in Hygrostat - set desired humidity and it automatically maintains that level
* Built-in negative ion generator, excellent for cleaning and sanitizing the air

The first unit shipped to us was missing a part, and we urgently needed a working dehumidifier. We called the seller, explained our situation and the seller agreed to send a replacement by 2nd Day Air. The replacement arrived and worked like a charm.

It's hard to tell from the picture but the unit has a very nice digital display that shows the ambient temperature and humidity. This isn't the cheapest humidifier on Amazon, but if you look carefully all the other humidifiers have quite a few negative reviews. Buying a quality product is always cheaper in the long term.

Overall, we're very pleased with our purchase and the great customer service. Would definitely buy from them again.

Quality Product - L.Z. on Oct 17, 2011

I like all the useful functionality included in this humidifier. Auto dimming LED, timer, humidity-level control, displays room humidity and temperature (even when powered off, but plugged in, of course :-P), negative ions (though I can't say I felt it and I don't know the spec for the -ion output rate), and remote control. I find them all useful. I will probably also use the warm mist function when it gets cold.

Only complaint, when I set humidity to 65%, it can only push room humidity to about 59%. When I set it to 60%, it works up to about 55%. I use it in a small (~160 sqft) bedroom, and I usually leave the door open by an inch, but windows closed. I live in SF bay area, where humidity level is usually around 45%. Because of its laziness, it does do a good job of saving water. With this relatively small tank (easy to handle), it lasts about 7 nights for me, about 70 hours.

Bright Light And Poor Area Coverage - Paul on Nov 23, 2011

I tried this unit and filed for a return after one week. I bought the unit despite it having only three reviews. Now I question these reviews because they all gave five stars and I completely hate this product.

CONS:

1) The manufacturer claims "High moisture output can quickly humidify a room up to 40 m

Satisfactory Product, Really Poor Order Fulfillment - Chuck K. on Dec 16, 2011

I've owned a lot of humidifiers over the years. The HF 707 is a minimally satisfactory product for basic humidification. The two units I've used have both reliably put out a lot of water into the air, which we need in winter here in New England. We use it in a 12x12 room, and regularly maintain 45-50% relative humidity, as measured by a separate hygrometer across the room (which I recommend you use, as well). The machine's integral hygrometer gives highly misleading readings and should be cross-checked with another instrument. The machine's integral thermometer gives fairly accurate readings. Both readings are thrown way off when you use the heating option. Like most ultrasonic humidifiers, it leaves a deposit of white dust on nearby surfaces, but somewhat less so than our previous Air-O-Swiss.

Order fulfillment is direct from Heaven Fresh, so I ordered direct from them as well. I ordered a black machine, and they sent silver; when I called to get the situation corrected, they explained that they had no black units and that's why they shipped the silver. (What happened to back-order? They seem genuinely puzzled that I would complain.) They promised me the black units had just come in and they'd ship me one right away. Three calls later, three similar promises, finally insisted on talking to a supervisor. He promised it would ship in three days, and it did -- and it is black, but from a batch they received from their Canadian branch, so the temperature is displayed in Celsius, not Fahrenheit. When I called them, they said they were out of US models so they shipped me the Canadian. Again, genuinely puzzled that that wasn't okay with me. They offered (again!) to ship me a replacement -- but this has turned into a too-long farce already, and I declined.

If you decide to purchase anyway, good luck. I'll be looking elsewhere for the living room unit.

VERY NICE HUMIDIFIER. - W. Kidd on Dec 28, 2011

I've had several humidifiers, and this is the best. I read one review that says they didn't like it, because if you run it on high you have to refill it every day... DUHHHHH!!!! Well of course If you run it on high, you will have to refill it every day, because it's doing it's job of putting a lot of moisture into the air! And that requires more water. It's a nice unit, I'm very pleased with it.

Great Humidifier - sb on Nov 28, 2011

I love this humidifier. The two reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5; the cap is awkward and hard to unscrew and there is a white haze on my electronics every day, I am constantly cleaning them. I can't imagine this being from anything else, as I never had a problem with this before. It is at least 10' away from my electronics and every day to every other day they are covered in a white haze. Otherwise, the unit is great. It is quiet and the large capacity water tank lasts approximately 12 hours on high. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I live in Alaska and it is very dry in the winter. We have to have a humidifier running almost all the time and I can't think of a better one to have, even with the haze on my electronics.

Excellent Product! - incision on Nov 26, 2011

I bought this product because I was tired of using a cheap vicks warm mist humidifer + electric hot pot to humidify my Chicago apartment. I considered many other humidifiers, but I settled on this one because I wanted something quiet, low-energy, and without expensive filter replacements. Also, I'm a big fan of negative ions, and while I have a small generator for my bedroom, I thought it wouldn't hurt to get another.

It is fantastic--well worth the money. Upon turning it on for the first time, I sat in front of it for about thirty seconds and watched the screen, listening for it to turn on. It didn't, and I was puzzled...and then I looked up and saw it spewing cool mist. This thing is quiet! Even on the high setting, it makes my old vicks warm mist humidifier sound like a roaring dragon.

This is a very intelligently designed product. The humidity sensor appears to be on the power cord, which puts it as far away from the mist emission as possible. That said, it still seems to record a higher humidity level than is true for the whole room (though i can't say this for sure), but this problem is easily remedied by setting the humidifier to a slightly higher-than-desired target relative humidity.

Two possible, minor gripes. First, the warm mist setting is not all that warm, even after I allowed 20+ minutes for it to kick on. I don't care about this too much, but if you're looking for something that puts out hot steam, this is not your product. (Honestly, I don't think I would have used it anyway, because it takes 30W power on cool and 130W on hot.) The second gripe is with the display. It displays temperature in Celcius only, and it flashes. The mist level indicator moves, and a small "setup" text flashes when using the automatic feature. To be clear, I am fairly light-sensitive, and I do not find these things annoying. The display is very pretty. Also, another review mentioned that the blue light was very bright. I disagree. The display auto-dims after you have set it, and it is about as bright as my digital alarm clock.

I do not know how well it will hold up, but right now it does not seem to be putting out any white dust, despite the fact that my water is pretty hard. I plan on cleaning the built-in permanent filter once a week, which should only take a few minutes.

I refill the tank about once per day. The tank opening is very wide, which will make cleaning much easier than it is for my old humidifier.

I actually liked this product so much that, after looking over last years' electric bill, I ordered a second one to replace my vicks warm mist humidifier. It is very close to an ideal product.

LOVE IT!!!!!!! - kentuckygal on Dec 14, 2011

I love this humidifier! It works great and is VERY quiet. Cleaning is very easy and done in 10 minutes once a week with vinegar... so no special cleanser and no filter. I haven't used the warm mist, but love the cool mist! It does put a fine white coat of dust on the unit, but you will get that will all ultrasonic humidifiers. The mist is put up high enough in the air that it doesn't get the floor wet even on high. I would recommend it to anyone. Yes, it is a bit pricy, but you won't regret it!

My Experience - Ishvara on Jan 21, 2012

I had a major problem with the filling lid leaking even after having to put it on so tight that it is very difficult to remove. When it gets low on water it leaks out what is left on to the floor. I talked to the the dealers about the problems but they were no help. I have two of the units. The other one is working other than the same aspect of having to tightening the lid so tight that it is difficult to get of. This is impossible for my elderly house mate to do.

Pretty Good Humidifier - JK on Jan 16, 2012

I have used it for a week now. It's functional, and neat. Like it a lot compared to honeywell brand and couple other that I have used in the past.

The Best Humidifier That I Have Ever Used. - Oliversmama on Jan 13, 2012

I was little skeptcal buying this since this indicated as "as seen on TV" I had no luck with as seen on TV stuff before. Besides there are good looking ones out there( I like pretty things lke normal women do)But I am glad that I bought this based on good reviews. I bought many humidifier before(because they were pretty), and never been happy with them but this is the best one I ever bought.

Great ITEM - Hollis L. Stavn on Dec 31, 2011

This unit is great. It seems to run a day or two continuously to need refilling. Advantages are it comes with a nano silver filter which you clean once a week with vineger instead of needing replaceable filters. You can run as warm or cool mist- the warm is not really warm it is just not cool. It has a negative ion generator you can click on or off. You can set a timer, lo med or hi operation, ion on or off, warm or cool. It will shut off if runs out of water. A couple odd things- the control screen stays on and shows a running trail of if it is lo med or high instead of a 3 position lite there is maybe 11 arrows that sequentially light continuously 1/3/,1/2, or all the way across the screen. It is not silent but is very quiet. You can set the hygrometer setting for auto shutoff say at 45% but it is not accurate. When the machine says 31% two others in the house read 44%. That could be a flaw. However the machine works so well i can overlook it. Just get another hygrometer.

The best thing is it works well. I have a gas fireplace that was bringing my humidity down from 45% to 25%. My eyes were dry and burning. My dogs eyes were dry. my guitars were heading into the range where the frets and top would warp.

This quickly brings the humidity up to 45% througout the house. And the air feels more comfortable as well. I recommend this unit.

Not As Advertised - John Dough "justplai on Dec 27, 2011

This humidifier does work but not as advertised. I use it in a 150 sq. ft. bedroom. On high it has to be refilled every day. On medium it lasts two days and using it on low does absolutely nothing. I have an accurate hygrometer centrally located in my house and the humidifier only raises the relative humidity about 2-6% in the bedroom when placed on high -- on medium it doesn't raise the humidity at all when compared to the rest of the house. I guess 1.6 gallons of water when vaporized will only raise the humidity very slightly over a twenty-four hour period no matter how it is released. The relative humidity in my house in the winter is usually about 32% and 38% is the highest it was raised to by this humidifier. You will have to be prepared to refill this humidifier every day and run it on high for it to have any effect -- no way it will last 6-7 days even on low as advertised. I guess it is as good as it gets for the low water capacity but don't expect too much. I would not buy this type of humidifier again. Don't be fooled by the description here as it is way over stated in my opinion and way over priced.

High Quality Humidifier - McNibbleton on Dec 21, 2011

This is the first humidifier I've used, and I'm very pleased with it. The maintenance is very simple (soak the filter in a cup of vinegar for ten minutes every few weeks). The ionizer feature is very nice. The box says that this unit can cover 460 sq ft max, but I have a two bedroom apartment that is about 1000 sq ft, and I feel that the humidifier covers the entire area nicely.

Satisfied - babycakes on Dec 19, 2011

I bought this for my mother-in-law who was diagnosed with COPD. Her doctor said running a humidifier might help keep her more healthy during the winter months when the air is dry. She has been using it for about a month. She could immediately tell the difference in the air quality. She has slept more soundly and feels like she is breathing better. So far, no colds. Filling it up is not difficult. The machine was a little pricey, but...you get what you pay for. She is extremely happy with this humidifier.

Heaven Fresh HF 707 - Tex on Dec 13, 2011

I guess overall it's a good product. I do not really have anything to compare it to (other than the $20 mist box you get at Rite Aid ...), but I can say it shoots out considerable mist. It also looks good, good quality, and pretty easy to clean. A bit tricky on the refill, and needs refill every two nights.

Heaven Fresh HF 707 Humidifier. - L. Michelotti on Dec 8, 2011
