Allergy alert: Aspirin may cause a severe allergic reaction which may include: hives facial swelling shock asthma (wheezing) Alcohol warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage and stomach bleeding. Do not use: with another product containing acetaminophen if you have ever had an allergic reaction to aspirin or any other pain reliever/fever reducer.
With Goody's powder, the relief is PALPABLE. It is so wonderful to put this powder under my tongue and actually feel my head lightening up and cooling down. My boyfriend and I both suffer from chronic headaches, and this is the only thing that has actually shown us that it is working and gotten us back to feeling 100% when those headaches do hit.
The flavor is medicinal of course, but I have to say that the Cool Orange is FAR and away more palatable than the original flavor. I bought a box of the original flavor since it was about 1/10 the cost of the Cool Orange, but I can't even take it. It's the sort of thing that makes you gag, which isn't fun when your mouth is full of powder. The Cool Orange flavor takes a bit of getting used to, but you CAN get used to it, and now it's nothing. I put it under my tongue, let it sit there for 30 seconds or so, and then swish it down with some water.
One thing I do notice is that as fast as the relief comes from this medication, it goes away quickly too. I wouldn't call it long-lasting. I have found that I get the best results from taking a traditional headache medicine tablet like Excedrin at the same time as I take a Goody's in order to get the fast-acting and long-lasting relief.
This is one thing that I am actually going to 'subscribe' to on Amazon, since the improvement that it has made to both my and my boyfriend's quality of life is tangible. Great product, thrilled to have found it.
The "cool orange" has a bit of an aftertaste but is great for those of us who don't love the bitter taste of aspirin. In stores I usually either find either the unflavored or the 4-pack so being able to buy the 24 count (AND through subscribe-and-save) means a huge savings. Thanks Amazon!
Because this product has the same main ingredient as Vicodin, I can use it in conjunction between using the prescription meds.
I do not mix Goodys Cool Orange powder with any liquid at all. I tear off the top & empty the pack under my tongue for the fastest relief possible aside from mainlining. BUT be careful NOT to breathe in through your mouth during this process. You will gag & tear up. But the flavor is good and cool too.
This is the only pain reliever I use now!
Great on the go too. I usually keep one in my jean pocket and they've made it through the washer and dryer numerous times. Nice to be out and get an ache or pain and just happen to have a pack of this stuff in the jeans you wore last week. ;)
But ever since the Orange flavored Goody's came out I couldn't be happier, it's the only thing I use anymore and I am never without some. I'm happy with the new foil packaging as opposed to the waxed paper as it contains all the powder until use rather than spreading the wealth to your pockets or purse. I never have to chase this flavor with anything to drink, cause it's pretty tasty all by its lonesome. But if there was any complaint at all with this product it would only be that it's sometimes difficult to find in stores. But hey, I couldn't care less anymore because once again AMAZON has come to my rescue. Gotta love Amazon and those Orange Goody's!
These powders work extremely fast. The powders dissolve quickly so you get faster relief. I take them for headaches, flu, toothaches, arthritis pain and fevers. The orange flavor is kind of tasty. It reminds me of the orange baby aspirins that my mom used to give me when I was a child.
Goody's powders contain 325mg acetaminophen, 500mg aspirin and 65mg caffeine. It's a combo that works great for most types of pain. Each box contains 24 powders. Each individual powder is packaged in a little tube that makes it real easy to take. The tube is a little hard for me to open even though it's scored; I usually have to use a small scissors. I have weak arthritic hands though and I have trouble opening many things.
I'd highly recommend this product to everyone. Goody's gets rid of the pain a lot faster than other regular pain pills.
If you can't stand the orange flavor, try the original then orange will taste like candy.
You just tear or cut off the top, pour in mouth, and then wash down with a liquid, or not, if none is available. They are palatable without water.
