I had an eye pillow made by a different manufacturer for about 10 years before it finally tore open. Unable to see how I could live without it, I repaired it with duct tape (hey, I'm a guy, what do you expect), but I figured it was time to get a new one. I was pleased to see on Amazon that many eye pillows, such as the DreamTime eye pillow on this page, come with zippers so the contents can be removed and the material hand-washed. I got a different color than the one on this page (I got the "DreamTime Inner Peace Eye Pillow, Sage Velvet," also sold here at Amazon). The eye pillow that tore open on me was unscented and I was hesitant about getting a scented eye pillow; I was afraid it would be too perfumy. But the scent of the DreamTime eye pillow is quite pleasant and to my liking and I don't find it perfumy at all. It has a mild chamomile smell, and when I use it, it is easy for me to imagine that I am reclining in a field of wild chamomile. Having an eye pillow means not having to put my arm or arms over my eyes (or a folded up t-shirt or a towel or whatever is handy) when I want total darkness. The eye pillow gives me total darkness--100% absolute blackness. It also imparts the pleasant sensation that I get when I gently press my palms to my eyes. The scent is relaxing, the sensation of having the pillow over my eyes is relaxing, the absolute darkness is relaxing, and I highly recommend this inexpensive product (especially at the sale price) to anyone who is looking for a natural way to get some deep relaxation. DreamTimes's eye pillow comes in a sturdy reusable cardboard box (with a ribbon carrying handle). DreamTime eye pillows are obviously marketed to women and that's too bad for guys who might not consider trying them because of how they're marketed. Maybe if they make some with a camo design (just kidding). Highly recommended for anyone who wants a natural aid to deep relaxation.

If you are looking for an eye pillow, do yourself a favor and purchase this one! It has become one of my favorite things. When I use it I feel relaxed and well cared for. I love it for many reasons: the fabric is silk & velvet, it has a zipper so you can take out the herbal contents and hand wash it, and the scent of the filling is so comforting! Very well made too-good seams with professional look. (Also-it is cheaper here on Amazon than I have ever seen it.) Enjoy.

I'm very happy with this eye pillow! The soft, silky material feels great on your skin, not to mention brocade design is beautiful. I also love the scent! It's very calming. My only minor complaint is that the scent was a bit strong at first.

Simply put, my body does not sleep without one of these lifesaving little objects. This eyepillow stays where I put it, is the right weight, smells devine, and the fragrance lasts a long time. I like the velvet ones for winter and the satin ones for warmer months.

First of all, I ordered this sage one, but got a silky burgundy dragonfly one. Second, I failed to read that it contained chamomile, which I am highly allergic to. Chamomile is part of the ragweed family, so if you have seasonal pollen allergies, beware of this product. Other than that, it was nicely made and eye pillows are wonderful (I have others). It needed to be packaged airtight so scent would last. Because of the packaging, it barely had a scent at all.

Ever taken a detour and were glad that you did after the fact? Well, this recently happened to me! I found this DreamTime Inner Peace Eye Pillow product in Amazon quite by accident--during a search for something else, but it was a fortunate accident, a detour if you will! :) After reading all the great reviews posted--some eleven people, I was tempted, and the images of the different color choices of the product captured my attention. The fact that the product also came with an aroma therapy blend was a big plus as well. So, I decided to give this little pillow a try. Now, I'm patting myself on the pack for that decision!

This is the first eye pillow I have ever owned, so I have nothing to compare it to! However, I can say that this peace-inspiring product, for me, lives up to its reviewed reputation in Amazon--for men and women! (The pillow actually makes me a little sleepy--in a soothing, quiet sort of way, which is fantastic after a long, stressful workshift. It's the perfect companion to my giant foof relaxation chair and my iPod. This powerful trio helps me de-stress, detach, and recharge.) I never expected to enjoy this product so much.

As one reviewer noted, the product's elegant box does seem to target women more than men, but it is a well-made box, worth keeping to store this nice pillow in when not in use. (The lid feels kind of magnetic and closes well.) Actually, box and all, the DreamTime Eye Pillow makes a lovely gift for the overworked and over-stressed. I bought one for my sister-in-law! LOL

Recently bought this item, and I like it a lot! The blossom fabric is very pretty. The eyepillow is a nice size, covering the entire eye area. It smells lovely of lavender and herbs. The price is not bad either! In short ; can wholeheartedly recommend this product.

After reading all reviews here i was expecting something much better. First, the smell is so intense that it makes the eyes itchy after a few minutes. Second it does not get cold enough. The only pro is that is very soft. I bet you can get something better and cheaper than this one. just my opinion.

love this eye pillow, it applies light pressure to get your eyes to relas, and smells like lavender and chammomile! I also love that it has a satin side to make it feel cool to the touch, or velvet for a warm feel. I plan on taking this to the hospital when we have our baby.

Initially I liked this product; however, I recently took it out of the box and it was filled with bugs! The pillow had holes with flax seeds coming out. I threw out the seeds, washed the eye pillow in hopes of refilling but cannot due to holes. What a disappointment!

I lost an eye pillow a few years ago and couldn't find a decent one at retail. I was nervous about the "lavender" scent. While the scent was a little strong initially it did mellow out fairly soon. One side of the pillow is silk or satin and smooth. It remains cool, but can slip off your face easily.

The other side is velvet or velour. It is slightly warmer, but still cool. It also stays on your face better without requiring elastic. I absolutely LOVE this item. It has helped me to many great nights of sleep.

If you have any doubts, forget them this is great.

I had a different eye pillow that I accidentally spilled water on and had to chuck. I bought one from a local health store and it was too small. I like ones that when I sleep on my side can actually block light in both eyes and cover ear. This one is not as heavy as the others but I like that because it does not slide easily and stays in place, even on the silkier side. The scent is not overpowering to me like some suggested and I am glad I got one with a zipper so I can easily add essential oils once the scent diminishes and can clean it. The eye pillows I could not clean (non removable covers) I would lay out in the sun to "clean" and revitalize it. I still may do that occasionally with this one but am thrilled I can hand wash the cover.

I love this product. I bought one before but my toddler daughter played with it so much I had to buy a second one. I've always had a poor sleep pattern, I never slept deeply even with the sleeping pills. With this pillow it helped me relaxed with ease. I love, love the aromatic lavender. This is the product I will highly recommend to anyone who wants or needs a good, deep night sleep.

Oh my, I read the review about someone having an allergic reaction to this thing, I don't have bad allergies, but didn't want a smelly eye pillow. They mentioned that the smell was subtle, so I thought it would be okay. Wrong! This thing stinks!!! The smell is overbearing, and terrible. I instantly became stuffed up upon opening the box. I thought I could let it air out for a few days and maybe it would get better; nope, my whole apartment stunk of the thing. I thought I'd give it a chance, I put it on my eye for a minute... they became red, puffy, itchy and irritated for hours. I don't know how anyone could put such a pungent thing on their eyes. I thought maybe it was just me, so I let my girlfriend try it out, same thing, and she has no allergies or sensitivities.

At least you can zip open the bag and refill it with your own stuff, and the material they make it out of is nice. I was too lazy to send it back so I'm going to empty it, wash it and refill. But for now, it's in a box, stinking up a closet.

Definitely don't buy if you even have the mildest allergies. I'd go get the ingredients and post them in this review for you to check, but I don't want to go near that box. Orange blossoms is one of them.

At the end of each yoga class, my teacher would put one of these over my eyes. I was concerned that others had used the pillow and didn't know what germs I might get (no I'm really not a germaphobe, but I'm careful with my eyes). Anyway, now I have my own and can wash the cover whenever I wish. I really like this pillow. Just the right size and weight with a wonderful, subtle fragrance.

I love this eye pillow! I've been practicing yoga for years and have always used the "community eye pillows they provide for the end of practice Savasana. All of a sudden I thought to myself "these must be so dirty from everyone else's face, sweat and eye makeup" and came home and bought my own that night!!!!!!!! I don't know why I never thought of it sooner. Anyhow, this mask is wonderful! Perfect amount of fill and the scent is just the right amount too. Not too much or too little. Smells great and helps with relaxation. I've used it at home too when I have a headache, just put it in a ziplock baggie in the freezer to cool it and the cold along with the lavender/herb scent is very soothing. Also the satin-y backing that goes against your face is very comfortable. Worth it 10x over!

I first got turned on to eye pillows at yoga class and decided to order this one. At first, the scent was overpowering, but when you leave it out of the box and wear it a few times, the scent diminishes and levels off. I am one of the group of people that can be wide-eyed at 3AM worrying about myriad problems-my own, yours, the planet's, etc. When I put on the eye pillow, it helps me get right back to sleep. It's the perfect weight on the eyes and the two different textures (satin and velvet) on either side are perfect. Recently I took a trip and was happy to have it to help me fall asleep in strange hotels. The smell becomes grounding and now I won't leave home without it.

I abosolutely LOVE this eye pillow. I purchased the sage green satin/velet one a few months ago, and just purchased another for a friend for Christmas! Above and beyond the quality of the pillow, it even comes with a wonderful pretty box in which you can store it. I can't say enough good things about this eye pillow. The pillow has a wonderful scent, and what is great about it, is that it has a zipper where you can actually either add more filling (I added some lavender seeds that I had for extra fragrence, although it had plenty to begin with!) and you can also remove filling and wash the fabric. The satin side is my favorite, nice and cool on the eyes, while the velvet side is warmer and more cozy. The pillow has plenty of weight to it, so it sits nicely on your face and is big enough to block out the light completely. Sometimes when I fall asleep with it on, it does fall off when I turn, but I usually enjoy just having it on my pillow for the wonderful scent it gives off! Do yourself a favor, and buy this eye pillow!
