Warm Mist Humidifier

LOVE This Humidifier!!! - BaZingaa on Mar 13, 2011

I've been using humdifiers for years and have tried every type. The cool mist ones mildew up quickly and the wicks are expensive. The ultrasonics are nice, but unless you use distilled water, you run the risk of breathing in bacteria from tap water, since the mist is cool and the water and any particulates that are in the water are nebulized into the air. The warm mist are the best, since the water is boiled and only the steam escapes. I have used many brands of warm mist humidifiers over the years... Holmes, Duracraft, and Honeywell. This Crane model is THE BEST yet. It hasn't leaked once. The tank size is adequate for a medium sized bedroom. I run mine on the low setting and it goes for 12 hours easily. The operation is quiet. The other brands I've tired all have the same basic design... the heating element is round with a hole in the middle and is difficult to scrub on all sides if there is a lot of hard water build up. This design has a solid heating element built into the bottom of the unit and can be scrubbed easily with a brush to remove build up. There is some basic weekly maintenance required, but it's not difficult. You need to use distilled white vinegar to dissolve build up and disinfect. One thing I don't particularly like is the blue light that comes on when the unit is turned on. It's not bright enough to light up the whole room (kind of like a night-light), but for folks who like 100% pitch-black when they sleep, this may not be for you. I'm glad I found this brand and model. For the price, it's a great machine.

Works Well, But Messy Cleanup And Falls Apart - A. V. Smith on Feb 28, 2010

I tried this for several days and it really does work well as far as boiling the water and throwing out steam. The design leaves a lot to be desired though. The tower comes apart from the base very easily and it is next to impossible to clean inside completely. The mineral buildup is really bad since there is nothing to collect it. I ended up going with the Vicks V790.

Warm Mist But Not For 8 Hours - George Scarlatta on Oct 25, 2009

We bought 2 warm mist humidifiers previously, a Sunbeam and a Holmes. They both were terribly noisy.

We bought this from Home Depot, same price as Amazon. It is much more quiet. Good misting output. BUT, even though this web site says it is operational for 8 hours, on the product's box, it represents 7 hours AND, when in continual use, it lasts only about 5 1/2 hours. Not very practical.

Great Little Humidifier - seturpenname on Feb 15, 2011

I had purchased a larger humidifier from a big box store that quit working after 1 week. I then saw the horrible reviews it got on Amazon and rolled my eyes at myself for not just buying here in the first place. I lost my receipt for the other one so it couldn't even be returned. So I bought this one from Amazon after searching reviews and comparing prices, plus if it broke I knew I'd have an easy return! Ok, enough about how much I love Amazon! Back to the Crane warm mist. I got the black one and it's really a nice looking little machine! Very sleek. It was easy to set up, and easy to fill. I noticed it last 6-7 hours on 2 (high), and over 12 hours on 1 (low). Even low puts out a very nice stream of steam. My last warm mist barely changed the humidity level in my room while this one took my room (about 12x14 with maybe 15ft vaulted ceilings) from almost no humidity (20%) to a nice 44% after running on low all night. Its been about a week and I can already tell the difference in my skin and hair. Cleaning is very simple, nothing to take apart, just take off the water container, add vinegar water, let it sit, drain, rinse. Same for the water container. As for the light, I will admit it's annoying, but I put a dvd case in front of it as someone else suggested (I like darkness when I sleep). As for the noise, I sleep with a fan year round for white noise, and this is about the same noise as my newer model tower fan. It's a consistent quiet steam noise. I do wish they made a larger model so I could use in larger open spaces in the house, but for the price, this is definitely a great machine with style and effectiveness! I'd recommend this to any of my friends!

Nice Little Machine - bamboomaster on Nov 16, 2009

I feel in love with the design, bought the white and later purchased another black.

They're pretty good humidifier. One gallon tank will last you a bit more than 8 hours run time at low setting. Set it on high and you're down to 6 hours max. No Fan, super quiet operation. Will keep an your room at 85% humidity or above creating mildew and fog your window glass.

Place it under/above or closer to your heater vent or source of wind so the steam will be evenly distribute to the whole room. Otherwise, you'll start seeing mildew dropping from your ceiling even at low setting.

Cleaning is fairly easy. I highly recomended using only filtered water, use tap water and you'll find an excessive chlorine build up around the boiler after a few usage. It will be almost impossible to scrape the chlorine off.

Great Humdifier For The Price - Discerning Mom on Mar 4, 2011

We've used this for two seasons now, and it works well. Cleaning it is simple if you do it regularly. Otherwise, it can get pretty gunky around the heating element.

I sometimes wish we had a cool air one, however, because this one gets the room pretty warm. In the winter, we have the house heater on, and this humidifier brings the heat up even further. We have to turn the heat down and be a little chilly in the rest of the house so that our son's room doesn't get too warm when we're running this.

Works Great - Brian K. Schroeter " on Feb 7, 2011

I have only had this machine for 2 days so far and am in a larger room, but so far the dryness is already better. The device is very quiet on the low setting and still very quiet on the high setting. It is very easy to use and includes a night light. I can't tell yet if it is helping much with my allergies, but my nose isn't as dry in the morning. Last night I had it run on low and lasted all night. The box says it will run for a minimum of 7 hours on low. So far, I am very pleased. If you notice moisture on the windows after running it, turn it down to low or 1 as there is too much humidity in the room. I would recommend this product. Also, it includes a medicine holder. If you need a quiet machine, this is the one to get.

JUNK!!!!!! - tdeje on Jun 3, 2011

Purchased in january, Died in april.
heating element failed
bad warranty, you must mail back the cord and the water tank cap in a mail bag,
along with a $25.00 check (supposedly to pay for shipping)
I only paid $39.00 for it to begin with, with free shipping !
Instead I threw it out and bought a different brand

Love It But Maintenance Is Very Time Consuming - KeKo on Dec 19, 2011

The main reason I am giving this product four stars instead of five is because of the cumbersome maintenance. You have to use a combination of bleach and water to clean the tank, a combination of white vinegar and water to clean the base, and this has to be done weekly! The base also has to soak for 20 minutes so your entire kitchen smells like vinegar for the day. Other than the maintenance, the humidifier itself is fantastic. It produces a warm mist as promised and the tank last for at least 6 hours. It automatically shuts itself off and the refill process is a cinch. The very last negative comment I have about this machine is that the surrounding light around the dial is a neon blue which completely lights up a dark room. I had to cover it with electrical tape so it didn't shine in my son's nursery and keep him awake a night.

Easy! - Dhuliz on Dec 18, 2011

I use this warm mist humidifier in my baby's nursery. It's really quiet and easy to refill every night. Just realize that you still have to clean a warm mist humidifier at least once a week. The first two weeks that I used this humidifier it had a funny plastic like smell, which resolved over time. Overall I think a very good product!

Nice Humidifier - E. Euell "1" on Feb 5, 2011

Runs quiet with the occasional fish tank type gurgle as bubbles are released in the reservoir. Nice mist and on low runs all night without needing a refill.

Nice For The Price - molly on Jan 14, 2011

This is a pretty nice looking humidifier, and it is overall quiet. It works really well, a gallon of water is in the air on the higher speed within two or three hours. I like the blue light on the dial.

Quiet & Easy To Clean - Paulie on Dec 27, 2011

Have owned several cool mist humidifiers in the past that were unreliable at best. Purchased this unit based upon the reviews and am very happy so far. Living in Maine we appreciate the warm mist that is produced. The unit moves quite a bit of water through the night on the "low" setting, but not enough to run dry before we wake up...I'd say you can run on the "low" setting for a good 11-12 hours before needing to refill. Also appreciate the health benefits of warm mist vs cool. The glowing blue light is not overpowering at all and serves as an auxiliary night light for our 15 month old. The gurgling of the water is subdued and is quite calming actually. Unit starts up every time without a hitch.
Once a week or so I clean with a white vinegar & water solution. Parts come apart, and equally as important come back together, easily so the weekly cleaning takes no longer than 15-20 minutes to do a very thorough job.

I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quality product at a decent price. I wasted some money on cheap-o models but found them to be unreliable & hard to clean...wish I had coughed up the few extra bucks and bough this unit from the get-go.

Baby Breathing Easy Now! - NANA JO on Apr 2, 2011

Purchased this product (along with natural vapor drops) for my new granddaughter who got a really bad cold at five months. Every time she is congested now, her parents run the vaporizer while she is sleeping and she wakes up breathing so much better! The unit is slim-lined, fairly quiet, starts putting out steam in about 5 minutes and is easy to use and clean (especially with distilled water). One day the baby and I were both congested and I ran it for half an hour in her closed room; it helped us both breathe so much easier. Highly recommend for use in one's sleeping quarters.

It Is Ok Product - Derguang Jang "Mr. L on Feb 1, 2011

I had crane cool mist humidifiers and they works very good. So, I kind of trust this brand but the warm humidifer is not as cool one. You cannot carry the handle after you fill the water and water tank is a little bit too high to fit into a faucet and its shape is not as good as cool one. The other common, the crane cool humidifier the older module is better than newer module.

Not Worth It - MinneMe on Dec 11, 2011

I purchased this item in hopes that it would offer enough humidity to help with my allergies as I sleep. While the product does humidify pretty well, there are other aspects about it that make it a waste of money and time, as there are better products out there.

1. It is very noisy, so much so that it would keep me awake. Also, there is a very bright blue light that is also quite annoying when trying to sleep. So, since I bought this to help me get a better night's rest via humidity, the light and noise just made the product not worth it. I am known to be a very heavy sleeper and the noise and light kept me tossing and turning. I propped a towel over the blue light which helped but did not resolve the issue.

2. Also, the mineral buildup gets quite icky and gross. There are other humidifiers out there that come with filters that keep it clean and safe to use for an entire season, while this one does not. There are instructions for daily and weekly cleanup which I did. So, I had no problems with mold or slime but again, with the machine I use now, there is no need for that inconvenience because of the provided filter which also gets rid of the mineral buildup. I know there are filter options for this device, but they must be purchased separately.

3. The product is simply not well-made. The parts are quite flimsy and inconvenient to assemble. It is not a secure snug fit, but rather the black top piece (the area with the vents or slots in the picture), merely sits on top of the base with a precariously small and not easily managed black tab that is supposed to fit in an area to help keep the part fixed there. The tab is way too small to be useful, it is totally annoying to try to fit in the slot, and once when I was struggling to fit the tab where it goes it broke. I had not had the machine more than a week. And because of the daily cleaning that is necessary you have to keep removing the part to let it dry entirely, so the annoyance was unavoidable. Also, the part that holds water cracked. I was filling it up with water in my bathroom and because it was wet it slipped from my hands, fell just like 2 1/2 feet and it totally cracked in many places. After that the item was unusable as it could not hold water. Yes, I dropped the tank, however, most rooms where there is a sink you are not going to have carpeted floors and so in the event that it does slip from your hands and fall a short way, it is not made of strong enough material to withstand such a likely accident. It would be nice if it had a handle which could have prevented the accident.

I now have the SPT SU-4010 Ultrasonic Dual-Mist Warm/Cool Humidifier with Ion Exchange Filter and it works MUCH better. It is virtually soundless with no annoying lights. There is a small light on the dial but it is not strong enough to interrupt sleep. It has a filter which negates daily or even weekly cleaning, and it has no mineral buildup. The filter lasts 6 months before needing to be replaced. The parts are a lot more sturdy and fit snugly together so daily assembly after refilling is quite easy. Also, there is a handle which will help prevent dropping the item.

Only Had This 3 Months And Its Dead - trigger01 on Jan 24, 2012

i bought this because the reviews were fairly good, i did see that some people had said it died on them after a short time, well i guess i'm one of those people as well, had this about 3 months and the heating element in it won't work, this is a complete waste of money and i would not recommend this product to anyone.

A Love That Cant Last - pen on Dec 27, 2011

loved this humidifier but had problems! the valve that holds the water in quit working right away...then it sprung a leak that we tried to patch and alas another leak around the seal. We've only had it about 8 months, using sporadically as the kids get sick. you do have to refill it before bed if you want it to last through the night. loved it while it lasted!

Small But Effective - sinamen on Dec 24, 2011

Its quiet as it puts out decent moisture for a 10*14 room. Requires refills after just a few hours but, its easy to do and not messy. Also, with a little weekly/ monthly maintainence less build up, should work for a long time. It's super dry in the winter and it helps.

Warm Mist Is The Way To Go! - rich on Dec 22, 2011

We switched from a cool mist humidifier to this warm mist unit. No comparison! Very quiet operation. The illumination has a soft blue glow to it. Easily lasts 12 hours on the low setting (which is plenty). I'm sure the high setting would cut that in half but I don't see the need for it. It does require weekly cleaning, but is very easy to do and only takes a few minutes. All with no filters to mess around with or replace. Best of all our little guy breathes much easier with the dry air/heat we have.

Looks & Performance Is Good, - Amit Vastrad on Dec 21, 2011

This humidifier is little pricy but has served my purpose. It is strong built. The only annoying thing is it makes too much of sound! I have never used any humidifier earlier, so this may be normal. I guess we will get used to it.

Crane Warm Mist Humid. - Carol on Dec 16, 2011

Very pleased - easy to fill - easy to clean/maintain - works great. Would highly recommend this product and would purchase it again if needed

Great Humidifier! - mlw11 on Dec 15, 2011

Just came yesterday and it is working for us very well. It is getting the job done and working as expected. :)

Excellent Product - book mama on Dec 14, 2011

My son and I both have sinus issues, so I was looking for more moisture in the air to help soothe our symptoms. After much comparison shopping, I decided on this unit and am so pleased with it! It is a good size, VERY easy to clean completely, and does the job! The two settings are just enough, when the weather is too dry I turn it on to two, but we feel comfortable all day and night with it on the number one setting. This unit comes aprt very easily to clean completely, so Im not worried about any contaminants in the air. I also love the medicine cup. I can put a few drops of an essential oil in it and it fills the air nicely. Or if we are sick, I use Vi*ks. This unit is easy to fill - I have been filling it once in the morning and once before bed and never run the unit dry. It also looks great! Im using it in a 400 sq ft area.

Absolutely Great - ospreylane on Dec 10, 2011

This is the best vaporizer that we have owned. It is quiet and lasts the entire night on the first level of steam. We have had two others that spit boiling water at us and made purring noises - keeping us awake. Would highly recommend this to anyone who needs moist air.

Just What We Needed - Rachel Desilets on Dec 6, 2011

The only complaint I have about this is that it seems to work too well! We have a small master bedroom, and we leave the humidifier on overnight, on the one setting. In the morning, our windows are covered with condensation! On the "two" setting, the steam gets so thick that we might as well be in a steam bath.

Honestly, I really love this. On a one setting, it does the trick. The gallon of water lasts the whole night and allows us to breathe normally. My husband has allergies, and my skin dries out really quickly. This is helping us through the dry, desert months.

Just make sure you have a good surface to put this! That was the hardest thing for us to find - and we ended up inventing our own. It has to be more towards the middle of the room, away from electronics and things that can be damaged by water.

It's Ok. - Calbeejo on Dec 4, 2011

I got this about a week ago. Was debating between warm vs. cold mist but ended up getting this because it was cheaper. The pros: easy to set-up, fairly quiet, looks sleek. The cons: water runs out in about 8 hours or even shorter if put on the high "2" level, can sound like it's "burping" every now and then. Not sure if the water level being dried up within 8 hours is due to the fact it's warm mist. I put it next to my bed and I feel I wake up with a less-dry throat now.

Very Warm - Neil Rich on Nov 28, 2011

This is a good humidifier and works almost too well. It is in a medium-size bedroom and we almost never use it at setting 2, which makes it feel like Orlando in summer. Highly efficient design. Needs regular cleaning as the heating element, which seems to be working overtime, releases lots of little particle of rust.

Sufficient And Quiet For A Bedroom. - mthawk on Nov 14, 2011

The season is changing and the air is getting drier, so I bought this for our bedroom so my wife and I wouldn't wake up congested. Mission accomplished. This is not an advanced piece of gear, but it gets the job done. Only 2 settings, low/high. Be advised, in our case the reservoir (1 gal) is just enough to get through the night on the low setting. We tried once on the high setting... the water ran out and we woke up congested. But we've had it for a full week now and it lasts through the night on the low setting and, for us, provides the humidity what we need in our master bedroom. I like not having a filter to re-buy but due to our hard water it's clear that I'll need to keep up with the advised weekly cleaning process. Mineral deposits are already accumulating. Sadly this seems to be the case with all humidifiers, at least at this price point and I don't think I'm inclined to buy a gallon of distilled water for every night. We also like this unit b/c it's black and blends in far better with our dark wood furniture then most of the obnoxious, clinical white units. I was disappointed there were not more black/grey units at this price range. One last point, I don't know why humidifier manufacturers insist their units double as night-lights. Many folks who need a humidifier are grown ups and don't want their bedroom illuminated by even the button light that lights up the ceiling. THIS unit by Crane, I'm pleased to report, does not needlessly light up our room. There is a light around the control knob, but it's relatively dim compared to other units we've had and aims parallel/across the floor (not to the ceiling). Generally, we're pleased with the unit and will keep it at least for a season.

Love It! - pregnant on Nov 9, 2011

I LOVE THIS HUMIDIFIER!!!! I fill it up before I go to bed around 10 PM and turn it on low it still has water in it by the time I wake up at 9 AM and it helps me to breath at night!!!

Great Humidifier--runs Out Of Water Quickly - Stephanie Pimentel on Oct 1, 2011

This humidifier was a lifesaver last winter!

It was so dry in my apartment that I snored incredibly loudly and finally I got a Humidifier to help with the issue and this did the trick.

The humidifier is super easy to use and pretty light when there's no water in it so it's nice to move between your rooms.

My only real issue with the humidifier is that I wish it had a medium setting. On high it empties in about 4 hours (so it doesn't last all night) and make my windows super foggy but on low it lasts like 12 hours and I don't feel like there's quite enough humidity in the air.

Like all humidifiers, water deposits a lot of stuff of the inside mechanics of this, but buy yourself a giant bottle of cheap vinegar and you are solid. Pour vinegar and warm water in the mechanics of this thing once every two weeks and it's like new. All the pieces also come apart from the front part (what's behind the knob) really easily and slide back into place so you can also soak each piece separately in a vinegar/water solution!

The Best Humidifer On The Market - Dan on Feb 18, 2011

I tried many kinds and brands humidifiers. They are either very noisy, need frequent filter change, or are quiet but create white dust like Crane's cold mist. This the best humidifier ever! It's super quiet, no filter and easy to clean!

Great Humidifier - Alexis on Jan 3, 2011

I purchased this for about $23 at a local grocery store well over a year ago. The bright blue light is annoying, but I just lean a DVD case up against it and it blocks the light out just fine. Even the low setting puts out a good amount of steam for my small room. The low setting lasts 10 hours +. The high setting lasts about 6 hours or so. It's quiet too. I recently purchased a humidifier from Target and I am going to return it. There is this little spring that you have to line the tank up with ever so perfectly, otherwise, it appears to be on, and will put out some steam, but it's only from the water that is left in the base. You wake up in the morning to find that it is still "running", but the tank is full. Not only that, but when it does work, it bubbles (loudly!) every 5 seconds or so throughout the entire night. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper, but even this wakes me up a lot throughout the night. My point is, it makes me appreciate this product more. You just fill the tank and drop it in place, turn it on, and you're all set. I'm going to buy another one, but not from here, unless Amazon lowers the price a bit.

Not Bad, But Disappointed In Design - pkwitt on Jan 25, 2012

Not a bad little humidifier, works well on low setting for a small bedroom, such as children's room or nursery. However, there is a seam on the front of the unit that isn't sealed/watertight. On the high setting, steam escapes from the seam, drips down the front of the unit, leaving a pool of water on the table. We have a medium sized master bedroom with a vaulted ceiling, and this unit does not put out enough moisture for this size room on low, we still had sore throats and dry/stuffy noses after running the unit all night on low, and because the unit leaks water on high I returned it. Very disappointed. We do, however, LOVE the Crane ultrasonic humidifiers which have served us well for the past three years.

Very Pleased - Bruce C. Slack on Jan 23, 2012

Works great. Wish tank was a bit larger. This thing can burn a gallon of water in a couple of hours on high. About 7 hours on low.
Silent & easy to fill. I suggest you put it on a tray . We've occasionally noticed a little water under it. Not sure where it is coming from. Possibly not tightening the filler cap well.
Disassembles easily for cleaning.
CAUTION_ Use both hands when carrying tank. It will not withstand being dropped. Filler cap does not need to be tightened as tight as you can. Just snug firmly.
Will buy another for upstairs.

Practical Humidifier With Gurgling As A Bonus - Mark on Jan 16, 2012

My wife and I have been looking for a humidifier that's quiet, produces warm mist, has a humidistat and uses no filters, wicks, etc, but we're not sure this Crane humidifier is it. We used it for one night but my wife (the one of us who actually needs it) said it sounded noisy compared to a similar humidifier she'd used before. She was sleeping next to the Crane humidifier, which was on the floor, so maybe that made a difference. To me, it was just a basic bubbling, gurgling sound. Occasionally, it would also make this other sound, sort of like when your stomach is empty and it turns. Whether all of that constitutes "noisy," though, is subject to each person's opinion I suppose. My wife also didn't like the fact that the humidifier ran continously - it has no humidistat, just a high and low setting - but we both thought it put off good steam while it 'was' running. Since we only ran it for one night, we weren't able to make any long-term assessments such as condensation/moisture or leakage issues (there were none the night we used it) or gauge other things such as how fast mineral deposits build up and how easy it is to clean after regular use. In general, I'd agree with others who've said the Crane humidifier is easy to take apart, but whether that's a bad or good thing is also subject to each person's own opinion. I personally considered it a good thing since it made filling up the tank with water easy. On the other hand, I could see how its ease of disassembly could lend itself toward the feeling that it's cheap, not well made, etc. All in all, it's a good little humidifier, just not for us. The blue light didn't bother us at all. Best wishes to you in your search.

Nice Little Unit. - Hopeless Hacker on Jan 15, 2012

Just ordered this Crane humidifier last week, and have been very happy with my purchase. I use it in a small bedroom, and it seems to humidify that area just fine on the lowest of the two settings. Noise is not a factor. Some have complained about the little blue light, but that' fine with me. It just gives me a bit of a night light for my mid-slumber trip to the bathroom. I've tried it on both settings and everything functions as it should. I have not yet done the weekly cleaning, but it looks simple enough. Everything comes apart for easy access for the cleaning process. I do hope it lasts for many winter seasons to help humidify our dry air.

Crane Humidifer - Sharkbait on Jan 14, 2012

I'm thrilled with this product and don't understand others review about less than 8 hours on one tank. It is close to 8 hours and feel like it's close enough. It is whisper quiet compared to others I have owned. It's a good product and I'm happy with my purchase.

Just As Described - La Nonna on Jan 13, 2012

Right tabletop size, works fine, needs refilling once a day and once a night.
It's nice and quite, can't hear it running.

Very Good Humidifier - REGRETFUL on Jan 9, 2012

Crane Warm Mist Humidifer, black, 1 Gallon

this appliance works very well, using regular tap water, and is extremely quiet. slight drawback is the luminous dial, which
is very bright. However many users would be pleased as the dial provides enough light to serve as a night light in a bedroom.

Worked For Less Than A Month - Susie Ginsburg on Jan 7, 2012

The humidifier was working great for about a month and then it decided to melt its inner working parts one night. Not sure how or why it happened but the plastic inner parts ended up distorted and melted. Have to ship it back to Amazon now for a refund and we will be trying a different humidifier. = \

Awesome Humidifier - Raff on Jan 6, 2012

I can finally breathe again! This is a great humidifier. Before I was struggling to breathe now I don't wake up all stuffed up. Great little machine

Works Nicely - jh on Jan 6, 2012

I bought this humidifier because the air in my house was dryer than the Sahara. This item work wonders when you need moister in the air and fast. The only issue I have is that it runs out of water after about 5 hours on "High". And it can be a little tricky to refill the water tank without other parts falling out everywhere.

Worked For Only A Month! - David G. Campbell "l on Jan 3, 2012

This worked great at first, but then I noticed the yellow light that indicates it is empty would not turn off when I turned the dial to the off position. Next time I went to use it, it did not work at all. Did not even heat up. Threw it in the trash. What a waste.

Crane Humidifier Is A Good Product - BJ Oppermann on Jan 1, 2012

I have been very satisfied with this product. It does a good job of adding moisture to my bedroom. It is silent--another plus. I would recommend the Crane humidifier.

Works Great - N. Manganel on Nov 28, 2011

It works great I just wish the reservoir was a bit bigger. When on the highest setting it does not make it through the whole night. If you use the lowest setting it will run much longer 8+ hours. It runs pretty silently and has not leaked at all so far.

Meh . . . Pretty Good - Simone Y. Regan "Doc on Nov 26, 2011

It works well I suppose. I don't mind having to refill the water, (you really don't have to for as much steam comes out) and it's durability stand up ok; I just kinda wish it would pump more moisture into the air. Again, it does the trick; I am just used to boiling big pots of water on the stove, so maybe my opinion is off. Not something to jump up and down over, but it works.

Great Humidifer For The Money - A. Vojtech on Nov 17, 2011

For the money, it does what it's supposed to do. Tracked it over 8 hours and it raised the humidity in my apartment to 76% from 50%. That's all I needed.

Little Unit But Good One - Litchi on Nov 17, 2011

I found price of this unit 30% less compared to Walmart and Home Depot, and thought to buy this for 2nd room. Works great, though it has little tank so has to be filled up every night before sleep. At low speed full tank runs for 12 hours. Tried couple of humidifiers before, but found this one as the most silent one.

I was looking for a warm mist humidifier for the winter. My condo has forced air and it gets very dry in the winter. I ran this the first night I got it and the next day I could feel the difference. My nose was clearer and i didn't feel so dry. I only run it at night at the lowest setting and the gallon of water lasts just through the night. In the morning, I empty out the canister and the remaining water in the device and let it dry. I use filtered water for a better quality mist and to keep the machine cleaner. It makes about the same amount of noise as a quiet filter on a fish tank. It's almost soothing. If you're looking for a humidifier for a small space, this is a great choice.
