Good For Very Mild Wetness Protection - apples2apples on Jun 25, 2010

We purchased the Champion Blue Underpads for our son, who is beginning to be dry at night. There are some nights though, he sleeps so deeply he doesn't wake to get to the potty. We wanted something which would provide wetness protection for the matress, and yet be something he could throw away in the morning if it was wet, and something he could easily put on his bed himself. I also wanted something soft - made me feel better about putting it under him.

Don't expect these to do the job of plastic mattress protector, or the heavy duty pads you can wash and reuse, but for travel or something like we use them for, they're good. I'd recommend them to anyone going through the phase most kids go through as they're potty training, and still have accidents at night, but for the most part are dry. They're also good for kids who are heavy sleepers who wake once they start to urinate - as long as they don't get too wet.

I don't think they'd do the job for elderly people who don't have any bladder control at night. They're just not heavy duty enough, but could be used in addition to the plastic mattress protector, cloth and rubber wetness protection, the fitted sheet, and then the underpad.

They are good for the elderly when wearing an adult night time diaper. When used between the person wearing the diaper and the bed, it provides one extra layer of protection. Hospice used these the last few days before my mom passed on. Up until then she was able to make it to the bathroom, but in the last 3 days she needed Depends and an underpad so her bedding would remain dry. Not something we want to think about, but good to know things like that are out there when they're needed.

Many Baby-related Uses - sarmar103 on Aug 12, 2011

I bought these a week before my due date while in a panic about postpartum recovery--I figured these would be good for protecting my couch and bed from any messiness once I got home from the hospital. Later, I was worried that I way overbought--I don't know what nightmare recovery I was picturing!--but I've since found lots of uses for these pads. They were, in fact, great for sitting on while using ice packs . . . but they've also protected the couch from baby spit-up while we got the hang of nursing. I've also them as impromptu changing mats at home (when all the changing pad covers are in the wash) and on the road (I keep some in the diaper bag and in the car). And, from what I've read, these are great to have in the house when it comes time to potty-train the little one. So these pads ended up being a great buy afterall.

If You're Changing Diapers, Look No Further. - OC on Oct 3, 2011

The product was exactly what I was looking for. Great for changing diapers because I'm tired of always having to rewash the cover on my diaper changing pad. Soft cotton to absorb messes and a plastic backing to prevent seepage. The packaging from the NorthShore supplier is excellent. Each package of 25 underpads is sealed in a plastic bag. Four packages are staked together in a bigger plastic bag and the entire 100-count of underpads is placed in a cardboard box for shipping.

I actually bought these through Amazon for a cheaper price ($/underpad) from a different supplier; a bad mistake ("Kendall Disposable Tendersorb Underpads, 17.5 X 24 (Case of 300)" supplied by Direct Care Store). The packaging was not up to par and arrived damaged at my doorstep. The shipping tape on the cardboard box tore open and since the underpads were not in any type of bags, some of the underpads were dirty and/or torn. I was trying to save a few bucks and it wound up costing me more in the end.

Great For Pet 'Accidents' - Joanneva12a on Feb 21, 2011

I use these for wee wee pads for my Lab as she sometimes has an accident in the house. My dog is 80 lbs so sometimes I will put two next to each other so she won't miss.

These are not cheap and they seem to hold alot of liquid so I did a test with the 17x24 underpads and poured 2 cups directly on it. It easily soaked up the 2 cups - I did a third cup and it also held but the pad was completely saturated at this point. No liquid leaked out underneath.

I put my hand on the pad and my hand got very wet - so while this pad may be great at preventing liquid from passing through it, it will not keep skin or whatever is next to it from getting wet.

Excellent Chux For My 6 Months Old Daughter - A. GUPTA on Nov 30, 2010

I have been using these changing pads while changing diapers for my daughter since her birth. These are very similar to the ones they provide in the hospital. They dont leak and are better than any other changing pads available in other stores.

Absorbant Sheet Saver. - Amazon Adventurer on Dec 30, 2011

Have kept me from having to change the sheets in the babies cribs several times. The only draw back is that they are a little thin, thus making them a little noisier than others that I have had.

Great For Diaper Changes - Shirley Bonanni on Nov 28, 2011

My husband and I use these on top of our changing table and for the changing table that's attached to the playrd. They have definitely saved us from doing laundry of changing cover pads repeatedly. They are also great for when you're sponge bathing your newborn since the underpads will absorb all of the water.

Love These Champions, Not The Generic - SteveDC on Sep 23, 2011

Seems there is a huge difference between the name brand Champions and the generic Chux. We have excellent leak protection for the table when the baby urinates, the cotton is thick enough to be comfortable and they are heavy enough that they don't fly away.
After reading many of the other reviews for the generic ones, we chose to go with these by buying 25 for a trial and now I'm even taking them into work to show co-workers who also just had a baby. We'll buy this brand again.

Pleased With Product - L. M. Navarro "yoga on Aug 26, 2011

Does the job. I have this on a subscription reorder for the past year.
I am pleased with the results.

Awesome For Changing Table - New York Reader on Aug 19, 2011

We've been using these on our baby's changing table and they are really outstanding. I initially thought I would use washable changing table pads. Yah right. After a few days with our new baby, it was clear that these disposable pads are the way to go. I highly recommend them for anyone with an infant.

Just Adequate - Dahlia Thompson "dah on Jul 31, 2011

These are flimsier than other brands I've used - the layers separate easily so the top layer catches on stuff. Going to try another brand next time I order them.

Many Uses! - KAH on Jul 22, 2011

I bought these to help me keep messes to a minimum when my son was born. I use them on his changing table, in his bassinet and place them under him when I sit him on the couch. We keep some in the car and in our diaper bag. They are handy, easy to use and best of all disposable. A definite must with a baby.

An Indispensable (not Literally -- Whew Stinky!) Asset To A Newborn Household - James on Jul 18, 2011

My wife and I bought these to use as underpads after having similar ones for use in the hospital for the few days we were there with our newborn.

Definitely highly recommended as we now carry a few everywhere we go. Some are in the diaper bag, some in the car, some at home.

If we're changing our child, she's on top of one of these. I can't tell you how many diarrheas, blowouts, waterfalls, and other spontaneous acts of nature have been caught (and overcome) by these pads.

They've never leaked through the bottom once!

Good For Baby Changing -- Poop Free! - RM on May 30, 2011

This product functions as a very good disposable changing pad cover when changing a baby's diapers. We have never had pee or poop leak under these chux. Because most diapers are very absorbent for pee, these pads often stay clean for most of our diaper changes. We can, therefore, reuse these chux for at least a few diaper changes. They are most useful to keep poop from getting on our changing pad or neighboring surfaces. I would recommend these chux to others with babies as in our situation. A good deal at 100 for $24 -- we expect the pack to last for 8+ wks of a newborn's diaper changes.
Once we have better access to a washer/dryer, we'll reduce our use of these pads to be more environmentally conscientious.

Great For Covering My Baby's Changing Pad And Public Changing Stations - Traci on May 28, 2011

I purchased these to cover my baby's changing pad when he has dirty (#2) diapers. I've had a few too many messy changes and were having to wash the changing pad cover too often. These are perfect for keeping the changing pad cover clean for a little longer.

These are also perfect for diaper changes in public bathrooms. I don't like putting anything on those changing pad stations...not even the changing pad that comes with my diaper bag. These are perfect because they're disposable. Good price for the number of pads that you get.

Best Pads For Changing Diapers - Davi on Apr 6, 2011

I tried most of the pads advertised for babies, but none of them really worked for us. These pads are the best. They're soft and very absorbent.

Great For Diaper Changes! - NYCgirl22 on Feb 23, 2011

We bought these after having used them when our baby was born in the hospital. They are PERFECT for placing on the changing table for diaper changes.

Best Underpads! - LindaF on Oct 10, 2010

The Champion Blue disposable Underpads are a great value; well made and absorbent. They arrived in the mail very quickly too! I highly recommend them!

Absolutely Convienent - Reggie on Sep 26, 2010

I use it when change my baby's diapers, it's absolutely convenient...Great product with reasonable price!

Only One Word Is Required: CHEAP!! - Topher on May 27, 2010

FYI - I use these for puppy pads for my dogs.

I'll just leave a few thoughts:

These pads are so thin, that they just can't hold much liquid.

However, pads should be changed nearly every time they are soiled...so it forces me to keep things cleaner.

I don't mind using more of them since they don't cost much.

I have a back up (thicker) set of pads when I know I'll be gone for an extended period of time.

Great For Changing Tables. - K. Egbert on May 5, 2010

We use these under our baby on the changing table. It's inevitable that our little guy will pee as soon as you take off his diaper. When he does, these chux pads absorb like a hungry sponge. It saves us lots of cleanup time. I highly recommend them.

Good Value - L. Oliver on Apr 8, 2010

I have an older dog who can't always hold herslf so I have been using puppy pads but they were expensive. These serve the same purpose and work just as well and were cheaper than buying in the stores. As usual when I purchase from Amazon delivery is great and prices too!

Poor Quality - D. Bangalore "B'lore on Jun 13, 2010

I bought this to use as a disposable changing pad for my newborn. Although I was impressed wiht the price, the quality was very poor. I guess you get what you pay for. The absorbant side of the sheet has thin fibers that tend to rise when you run your fingers through it. It may also get stuck to your baby's fingers and pose a threat - as in those fibres are so fine and strong that they may cause cuts. I wouldn't recommend htis product especially for use as changing pads for babies.
