Overall Great! - DM on Mar 15, 2011

I have been using this product for over 2 months now and so far the results are great!

Skin- by washing your face and then putting a warm rag/cloth on your face for a few minutes and then gently rubbing a LITTLE bit of this Castor Oil all over your face.. it will definitely help to clear up acne. It is not a miracle worker, but if you give it time and don't use too much it will improve the look of your skin (hopefully) it did for me. I am on BC so my face is always breaking out because of the hormones, but I noticed with this it calmed it down and gave my skin a nice glow. BEWARE: since Castor oil promotes hair growth give your skin a break so you don't grow a beard or just use some hair removing stuff.

I also rub Castor oil on the bottom of my feet before going to bed. I have never used anything that made my feet this soft! It's amazing.

Hair- I heat a small amount of this up and then rub it through my hair trying to get to the roots and then put a shower cap on and let it sit for about 15 minutes before I take a shower and shampoo and condition like normal. It has made my hair extremely soft and shiny! I have not noticed much thickness in my hair because I have not been consistent and using it, but we shall see.

It has been great for eyebrows! I put a little on at night and sometimes during the day if I am not going anywhere. I have noticed it has helped to regrow some hair where it has been a little thin from over plucking/threading.

Overall great product! It has many uses the key is consistency and a little of it goes a LONG way!

Love It - LaceyLee on May 15, 2011

I bought it mostly for my hair and found myself using it on my skin. It is hard to apply to the skin because it is very thick but it is worth it because it leaves your skin very soft. It makes my hair very soft as well. Awesome stuff!

Miracle Oil - William E. Davis "Fo on Nov 2, 2011

I tore my rotator cuff years ago, and the surgeon looked at the MRI and ordered three separate surgeries. I wanted a second opinion. I went to a sports medicine massage therapist, and she offered an alternative: Massage to put the muscles and ligaments in the right place, then a Castor Oil regimen to get the inflammation out of the shoulder so the body could heal it. I started with 10 degrees of motion, and finished two months later with 100% range of motion thanks to the Castor Oil twice a week and some simple 'dangle and swing' the arm exercises.

Since then, I've used it to get rid of bruises, sore muscles, stop my eyes from burning, heal almost any kind of skin problems, and after so many successes, I became an evangelist for Castor Oil. ONe of my friends came back to life from fighting intestinal lesions that he can now ignore thanks to abdominal hot packs with Castor Oil. I'm improving how much hair grows on top of my head using a 50-50 mix of Castor Oil and Witch-hazel (to thin it out a bit so it spreads easier), and it works. I play guitar, partly due to the supple hands provided by Castor Oil treatments wherein I put my hands in rubber gloves with Castor Oil, and then use heating pads, and my hands feel like those of a 20-year old, tho I'm nearly 60. It also reduces the three fingers I have with trigger finger.

I know that many people cook with castor Oil,. but I have not tried it, but I plan to. I'm confident that CO can help with things like eshophigal eruptions, heartburn, and on and on and on...

The name 'Palma de Christi' is probably a good one for this oil. Many attribute some of Jesus' healing miracles directly to castor oil, which was known well before Christ.

Quality Multi-purpose Product - Catherine on Jun 16, 2011

When I first purchased this product I bought it in an 8oz. size and it lasted about 3-4 months with me using it for many purposes, so I decided to step up to the 32oz because of the value and utility I get from this product. As a way to keep in moisture right out of the shower (I added essential oils to make it smell good, although without a scent it doesn't smell bad, but I get noodle from it. lol) it makes my skin even softer and that softness lasts a really long time. I mix it with some coconut oil that I have and apply it to my legs after shaving, and this soothes them and makes them shiny. I also use it in my hair to seal in moisture/ bring in moisture, and it makes it soft and I feel like it has also made my hair thicker as well (I'm black and have natural hair, 4a-4b). I also apply it to my eyelashes and I think they have benefited (longer, more volume), I apply it to my eyebrows also to make them lay the way I want them to! I really enjoy this product.

Works On Inflammation - Sheltie mom on Aug 16, 2011

I had bunion surgery and had to wear a special shoe. My foot was very swollen and painful. For days I used Traumeel on my skin and bandaged my foot. I saw no results. I then started to soak cotton pads in castor oil and place them under my bandages. The results were immediate. The bruising and swelling went down tremendously. Within a few days I was able to put weight on the foot that was operated on. I had bunion surgery on my other foot 4 years ago and only used arnica and Traumeel on my skin. I recovered much slower and had to wear sometype of orthotic shoe for 3 months. I wish I thought about using castor oil back then.

Induced My Labor - Astrid Sperling "bak on Aug 2, 2011

I used this product to induce my own labor and boy did it work. Most of the reviews on amazon for this product were for external use only, but if you are overdue with a baby, I highly recommend this stuff! I was 5 days overdue and drank 2oz castor oil, mixed with orange juice. It didn't taste nearly as bad as I had expected. 2 hours after drinking the oil/juice mix, my labor started, 5 hours after that, my beautiful, healthy baby was born. She was my first baby and i have a family history of long labors, so since I have no comparison, I give all credit to the oil.

Castor Oil - Angel on Jul 27, 2011

The product is great. I used it for hot castor oil packs on my bladder and it worked. I had benign but transitional tumours inside my bladder and after applying the castor oil packs the tumours shrunk! This particular kind works the best.

Castor Oil - Jessi on Mar 8, 2011

Leaves skin silky smooth (face and body) and in time and is help my acne scares, has made black heads vanish with in days and help's great with a good deep facial cleansing. Also help with stretch marks. I highly recommend this product =).

Wonder Oil! - Lauren on Jan 8, 2012

I love love love this Castor Oil. I ordered it so that I could mix it with Sunflower Oil and use it for the Oil Cleansing Method on my face and let me tell you, my skin has never been better! My combination skin has normalized, complexion is more even, and I'm using a little of the straight Castor oil around my eyes a few times a week and the fine lines around my eyes are minimized! And would you believe that is ALL I am using on my face? I have eliminated cleanser, exfoliated, toner, moisturizer, lip cream, and eye cream (I am in the beauty industry and am a complete product junkie, so this is major). I also use it on my hands and cuticles before bed and they are softer an ever! I have also recommended it to my clients as a dry scalp treatment and they have had great results! And the value on this product is great, it is HUGE. A bottle a third of the size costs the same at Whole Foods. I know there are so many more great uses for this oil that I really look forward to trying!

Love This Product! - J. Davis "Shopoholic on Sep 27, 2011

This was my first time using castor oil. I purchased the product to use on my hair. I'm African American and my hair is natural (medium course texture). I didn't know what to expect, but the product works great! It's not thin or runny and instantly adds moisture to my hair. So far I've been able to use a small amount daily without buildup or a greasy feeling.

After a day or so I decided to use it on my elbows, knees, and feet after bathing. It makes an incredible difference and my skin is very soft after using it.

Great Except For The Shipping. - Susan on Aug 12, 2011

First purchase of castor oil. I am using it on my hair (Caucasian), face and décolleté. Apparently it reduces wrinkles, scars and acne in addition to many other uses. I am excited to see if it helps the S. Dermatitis on my face (nothing says it will, but with myriad other uses, one can hope).

The oil is everything one would expect. The shipping was not. Item arrived via USPS. There was very little packing in the box which resulted in a broken cap. Some oil did leak into the box (inconsequential - absorbed by cardboard). Good thing I had a spare cap from a different product. Otherwise this item from this seller would get a 5 star rating.

It's Great! - Clara Brown "Clara B on Jun 17, 2011

I bought this because I read that rubbing castor oil on your hair follicles will stimulate growth. I find that this does work and have seen results. This formula is thick, but absorbs easily and doesn't feel greasy at all. The bottle is pretty, too.

True To The Label - Firelight on Jun 11, 2011

True to the label no chemicals are used in the cold extaction process used to make this product. I bought the product to moisten my pugs eyes and also to test a theory that it might help with the buildup of pigment in my pugs eyes. As far as keeping his eyes moist, the product works great. I have yet to see improvement in the pigment buildup though -- but hey, he doesn't mind, and it isn't doing any harm, so I will update this review if things change.

For Elderly Hospice Patients - sunflower on May 21, 2011

We use this wonderful oil after we bathe my mother, just all over her body. Use before you dry the skin. We have been successfull in keeping any bedsores at bay and keeping her skin from cracking. I think it is a natural anti inflammatory and my nurse raves how great her skin is. I also tried it on my face and the moisterizing properties are amazing.

Best Castor Oil!!! - Ms. Monique on Feb 23, 2011

LOVED IT..I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUYING THIS CASTOR OIL!!

Great Price For Pure Castor Oil! - James Reese "Chevali on Dec 15, 2009

I bought this castor oil to use in making my own shaving oil. I purchased this brand because of the excellent price and reviews. Whenever I replenish my supply of castor oil, I will order from the same company! I also found that the castor oil is great for your skin--something I had never known before. It also works great in my shaving oil!

Castor Oil The Miracle Oil - Dionetta Hudzinski " on Oct 2, 2009

I have been using castor oil for over 10 years now, I highly recommend it to my clients and have had great success in using it for pain relief, decreasing inflammation and treating psoriasis. I use on my eye lids when I am tired and it seems to help soothe them. My clients love it as much as I do...It is an affordable remedy for many discomforts.

AWESOME FOR PETS DRY SKIN/ WARM THE OIL - I. GLENN on Jan 15, 2012

Just on a whim, I used this on my dogs itchy dry skin, because I had given him a zymox bath a few days earlier. Although the bath helps with his allergy condition, it also causes already irritated skin to become dryer; since he is an indoor pet.
I only warmed the amount of oil I was using in a small shallow container. It doesn't take much. Massaging, and mostly concentrating on his hot spots; and boy did he love the massage. The immediate relief from scratching was unexpected. Moreover, the calming has lasted more than 8 days; and better yet the hair in those hot spots started to fill-in, and thicken within two days.

If your pet is proaned to licking, especially kitties; maybe place a animal neck funnel around the neck for at lest 5 hours; to give the oil a chance to penetrate the skin. Don't forget to wipe the excess oil off of the top of the coat. Therefore minimizing possible GI tract upset.

Think I will also get a couple of humidifiers

Wonderful Product - animegal on Jan 12, 2012

I was used to using castor oil growing up for hair treatment even though I always hated the smell! After digressing to artificial products for a long time, I am back to castor oil and bought this product after some searching. I bought the 32 oz bottle. About the product : It is sticky and thick. However the smell as such is milder than I remember it to be. Some of the reviewers mentioned they used it on their skin , but I stuck to just my hair. I apply sufficient amount and massage my scalp for around 15-20 minutes and let it soak for 3-4 hours and get a shower. So far it has been satisfactory. My hair felt soft and had a fullness feel to it. It was easy to untangle the knots and it turned out to be easy to wash off the oil than I expected. Overall it definitely is worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone looking for natural product.
I only con is the when the product arrived it had leaked quite a bit and it was a mess to clean it up. Although not a flaw on the product side, it ended up being a reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.

Miracle Oil - SeraMy2Cents on Jan 7, 2012

This works for everything, hair growth, first aid, must have. I prefer it better than JBCO. It doesnt have the sticky residue and has a neutral scent. I've notice faster hair growth as well. I decided to get the 32oz since I use it all the time and doesnt last long in my house.

Castor Oil Use - Grumpy'sWife70 on Dec 26, 2011

I used this product to remove a wart on my face. You might think that is strange and I did too. I remembered my Mother in law told me to try it and after applying it for one week several times a day, the wart is gone. This is a great product. I learned a lot of uses for it by using a search engine to find information.

Great Spot Treatment For Acne - Gggirlgeek "Mel& on Dec 10, 2011

I use it primarily as a spot treatment for acne. If I can catch it at the earliest stage I can often prevent the deep ones from even forming -- they just go back down. I have to apply this along with taking 3 ibuprofen tabs though. For the rest, they heal faster and without scarring. The dark marks go away over time too. Just apply several times a day when at home. Under make-up I dab it on, wait a few minutes, then blot it before applying cover-up. (I use powdered mineral makeup.)

I don't smear it all over my face or use it to remove make-up because it seems to leave a residue, and to cause new break-outs.

As a side note, I rub the excess on my nails and they're hard as a rock.

Miracle Product For Sprains, Pain (Used 10+ Years) - L. Yarberry "Always on Jun 19, 2011

I've used this product for over 10+ years for everything from a sprained ankle, to sore muscles from working in the yard, even bruises. I've found my recovery time to be much quicker when used with either cotten or wool flannel accompanied by heat (either a heating pad or hot water bottle). I'm not sure why it works, but I am very happy that it does. I've even convinced my husband. He thinks it is excellent also. I don't know that it would work for everyone, but I know it works for us. I do believe in natural cures when possible. I've recommended it to family and friends for years.

Castor Oil - P. Darby on Apr 13, 2011

I purchased this to use on my natural hair but I found it to be a little heavy. Perhaps I used too much. I think this would be a great product to add to my hair and skin regimen if I can only figure out how much to use.

Great Product - Naomi on Feb 13, 2011

Greatest oil ever. I use it to massage my Back, and to rub on my kids' chests, temple and around when they are congested. It works wonders. Try it you wont be disappointed.

Sticky And Causes Shedding - Dee on Jun 14, 2011

I am using this for my hair only. I'm natural with 3c/4a hair. It's sticky. I don't use it that much. I decided to use it as a oil for my sulfur mix. It's a heavy oil. I have a lot of shedding when I use it.
