I am a board certified allergist in Cleveland Ohio. I have both purchased this product and recommended it to many of my patients. It works very well and is a fraction of the cost of namebrand Zyrtec.

Cetirizine is slightly more effective than loratidine (Claritin) and is slightly more sedating. Therefore I usually have patients take it after dinner time - but it is not highly sedating and some people don't even notice it.

Overall a very good product.

This generic form of Zyrtec, Cetirizine Hydrochloride, in 10 mg tablets is quite a godsend! I suffer from allergies almost year round; and when I take this product I feel better pretty quickly. I am soon able to breathe much, much better through my nose and my eyes aren't so irritated. In addition, taking it after dinner is an excellent idea so that you don't get too groggy during the day. While not everyone will experience the side-effect of grogginess, it's good to take precautions especially if you must drive or use machines. Fortunately for me, this drug does not make me drowsy. In addition, you can also use this product if you experience sneezing and other allergy symptoms.

Importantly in these very bad economic times, the price is certainly right. This generic version of Zyrtec is much less costly than buying the actual brand name.

The tablets work for just about twenty-four hours just like the makers advertise it to work; but if I need more, I sometimes pop an extra tablet--with my doctor's "OK," that is.

Of course, follow the directions on the bottle very carefully. There are some warnings you should heed. As always, if you have ANY questions or concerns about this product ask your doctor first before taking this medicine. In addition, use these tablets before their expiration date.

Overall these generic Zyrtec tablets help me immeasurably when I have allergy symptoms from pollen, dust, pet fur and more. I highly recommend this product!

I have been taking Zyrtec for several years dating back to when it was by prescription only. From what I can tell after taking the generic version, there is absolutely no difference whatsoever. I have been taking the generic for just about one month. Knowing my allergy condition, if it was not working, I would know it by now.

This is NOT the Mylan brand that is advertised or pictured (bait & switch). It is a generic made in Mumbai, India, without appropriate regulation. The bottles are not safety sealed, and the product's strength is not consistent, which can eventually impact your beneficial response to Cetirizine. Pharmacists do NOT leave product endorsements such as the ones found in the reviews here, only SHILLS hired by companies do. I wasted every penny I paid for these, as they are going in the trash, for safety's sake.

Product was not as advertised. Pill doesn't match picture on web. Bottle and maker don't match what's on web site. Bottle was not sealed, which I have never seen. Label shows Pack Pharmaceuticals out of India, not Mylan, as advertised. I can't trust taking this medicine or supplier at this time. Submitted an email to American Wholesale. Waiting to hear back.

This is generic Zyrtec. Believe me, I would know if it was not. I have allergies to dust, mold and certain pollens. I take this everyday from the last frost in the spring until the first frost in the fall. I'm not sure what I would do without it. Claritin and some others do not helps me. Besides that, this is an unbelievable deal compared to the rest.

Helpful hint: this drug is most effective about 12-16 hours after you take it. (That's why I take it at night before I go to bed.) Also, if you skip a dose, take it ASAP. Otherwise, your body will build up a type of tolerance to it and it will lose its effectiveness.

Somewhat dissatisfied with this purchase for reasons that may seem like 'splitting hairs' to some. First of all, shipping was quick, but would be happier if shipping charge could have been combined, as I ordered two bottles of this product, and was charged a flat shipping charge for each bottle. Even so, this was still cheaper than any other supplier I could have purchased from.

My main complaint with this product is that the reason I purchased this product from this specific retailer was that I was under the impression I was going to be sent Mylan brand Cetirizine. I work in a pharmacy and know and trust Mylan brand generic drugs, among other manufacturers. I ordered this specific product for a little bit of peace of mind, assuming I'd be sent the pictured, and named in product link Mylan brand product. I was a little bit surprised when I opened my package to see Cetrizine manufactured by J.B. Chemicals & Pharmeceuticals, whom I have never heard of. Like I mentioned earlier, it may seem like i'm nitpicking or splitting hairs, but I would have been completely satisfied had there been mention somewhere that 'manufacturer of product may vary'.

Just a heads up for those that are as picky as I am about things like this, All generics should work the same, and the product I was sent is working as it should, and as good as any manufacturer i've used before, so don't hesitate to purchase this product knowing that the manufacturer you may be sent might not be Mylan brand.

I previously purchased this generic Zyrtec and it worked beautifully. I recently ordered another bottle but received a different manufacturer's product. It's a different bottle, different shape pill, and is manufactured in Mumbai, India. It states it is manufactured FOR PACK Pharmaceuticals in Buffalo Grove, IL, and manufactured in India by Unique Pharmaceutical Labs. How do I know if this is FDA approved or even manufactured under US requirements? The inactive ingredients used in the processing of this pill, can be totally different than the other brand which can be a serious problem for people who have side effects or allergies to other ingredients. Now, I have to take MY time to contact this seller and pursue some type of assurance that it is safe! They show the same bottle in the picture on Amazon that I had before and also a tiny picture of the label that is on this substitute bottle. I am not happy about this at all, they have created a problem for ME, instead of ASKING if they could substitute another manufacturer. I love Amazon and have never had this type of problem with any of the marketplace vendors....I hope Amazon looks into this! I see a couple of other reviews as well about this same issue.

**UPDATE: After sending an email (or a few) explaining they have a bottle of Generic Zyrtec from Mylan Labs in the ad for PACK LABS Cetirizine, they sent the correct bottle I wanted. I can't speak for the PACK Labs product, but the Mylan product is exactly the same as Zyrtec, and I will continue to order it! They have since removed the picture, leaving only the PACK Labs label by itself...

I was a little hesitant at first but I figured for the cost, I had nothing to lose. I'm definately glad I took a chance with this because it was fantastic! After taking it for 7 days, I haven't had to worry about being outside for extended periods of time, and have even slept with my windows open. I take it at night before I go to bed because it makes me a little drowsy. I did take half a tablet during the afternoon when I first starting taking Cetirizine, and felt just fine for the rest of the day.

I have recommended this to friends. I ordered another bottle to have on hand in case we don't get an early freeze this year.

Sometimes I suffer from allergies and when I do, I take one of these and within minutes I'm fine. Some Doctors say that you need to build your immunology system by taking them every day but since I don't like to take pills all the time it works fine with just one or two days. I don't see a reason why pay double the price for about 8 pills when you get the brand name, when you can get 100 for the same price for the generic (with the very same amount of ingredients). It's a no brainer for me. I love these and will continue to buy them as long as I need them.

Instead of buying 30 pills for $15, I get 100 pills for $7. You should check out the generic name of your over-the-counter medication and see if you can find it in it's generic form. It's worth it!

They said, via e-mail, that they would make it right and sent the corrected order to me. Because of the mistake, they would also issue a refund. I still have those e-mails.

Ok, enough with the infomercial, but really this product is great. I was really tired of having the sniffles (this is antihistamine so this won't be much benefit if your clogged) so I found Zrytec in the store loved it worked great for me, however, I could not keep paying that pricetag. So I went online searched for the main active ingredient which is Cetirizine Hydrochloride. Found it here, ordered it. It worked just as well if not better as a stand alone! I hate medication where you have to take it daily for it to have an effect, this you dont' have to, take only when you need it 30min-1hr later your sniffle-free and your nose is NOT clogged like most other allergy medications make you. This is my experience hope it works great for you too!

Cetirizine has been great for my allergies, I have not had a single side effect, and the generic is just as effective as the McNeil brand Zyrtec.

Since a small amount of cetirizine can pass through the blood brain it can be sedating for some people. However most people have no side effects or they go away within a couple of weeks.

One thing to note is that I did not receive Apotex made cetirizine as advertised, instead I got Mylan brand. It is certainly not a problem but if anyone has some sensitivity and/or adverse reactions to Mylan products or you are used to taking Apotex brand you might not wan't to buy this.
