I left this same review for this product on another Amazon page. For some reason, this product has been split up on two different pages.

I find this stuff works really well on canker sores. While Anbesol merely numbs, this actually seems to promote healing. When I use it, my canker sores go away 4-5x faster that with Anbesol or nothing at all.

It's too bad it didn't work for the previous reviewer, though I can see how it might not be great for tooth pain. It doesn't really numb like Anbesol does. It rinses the area and, for me, keeps it from hurting as opposed to numbing it. The box says it forms a protective layer. If it does, I don't see or feel it. It is unlike Zilactin in that way. Zilactin forms a hard, white protective layer over the sore. It also does nothing for the pain and doesn't help the sore heal like Rincinol does.

My only problem with the product is that it is difficult to find. I purchased it at Walmart once. Since then, they haven't restocked it and I had to search all over town for it. I finally found it at a local pharmacy, but it came in small single dose packets, which are good for travel or at work.

If you need numbing pain relief, this is probably not the product for you. Stick with Anbesol or Orajel. If you have a mouth sore that needs healing, give this a try.

I've suffered from canker sores my whole life and have, thankfully, figured out the triggers so that I can usually prevent them. However, as any canker-sore sufferer knows, they can't all be prevented. I received a sample of this in the mail and was skeptical since nothing I've ever used has ever helped. I was thrilled that this worked so well and was sooooo happy to find it available on Amazon since after visiting every drug store (and having my mom visit every drug store in her city) I still couldn't find it. Highly recommend this product -- it's the best thing I've found to eliminate the pain and doesn't even numb your mouth. Wonderful product.

I get canker sores very easily when I accidentally bite the inside of my mouth. This stuff not only helps to keep the pain away from the sore, but it really does seem to promote faster healing. While the directions call for using 10ml, I would suggest using only 5ml, as it works just as well but that way you get twice as many doses out of one bottle.

My husband is a dentist and brought this product home for me from a lecture education series he attended. He informed me that after 30+ years in practice he has decided that every product and vitamin out there works for some people and not for others. And that in most cases, most canker sores heal at the same rate with or without help from outside sources. Various and differing things cause the sores for individuals so it stands to reason that they would require different cures.

Nevertheless, I tried this product the next time I got canker sores in my mouth.

For me, this product is a major miracle. I have also discovered that it works for me for dry mouth syndrome .... another thing that my husband said he has had limited success helping patients with. He recommended Vit. B to his patients as a help (since that has been what some studies say works) but has found that it meets with limited success in some cases and none in most. I found that I fell in the later group. Vit B was absolutely no help at all to me for the burning, dry mouth or the metallic taste I sometimes got. D and E did not work either, as some friends suggested they would.
Dry mouth syndrome is a common curse of menopause and post menopause. I hate it! Rincinol PRN makes that also disappear for me. Although he still refuses to get his patients' hopes up he does tell them about my success story.

This product has made a big difference in the quality of my life. I hope it helps you, as well.

This has been a standard product in my medicine cabinet for years because it works.

However, you do not need to use the amount they recommend. You end up spitting out most of it. To make this last longer, use only enough just to coat the inside of your mouth.

A dental hygienist recommended this product to me for healing canker sores in my mouth. I go through prolonged stretches where these are constant problem and the usual OTC remedies just don't seem to work for me. It was hard to find in my community but I finally located it. I was a bit dubious it would work but I was surprised! Most of my canker sores result from me biting my lip, cheek or tongue and, when that happened, I knew I was in for pain for a few days. But when I used this Rincinol as soon as possible on the injury, the canker either did not develop or it was much smaller and went away quickly - what a relief! The only problem is that I can't find it in any local drug store or pharmacy. So, I have to go on-line to get it. I don't understand why our local stores don't stock it because it is truly the only product that helps me deal with canker sores.

I am beyond thrilled to have found this. I have always suffered from canker sores my whole life. But in 2007, the canker sores became much worse than anything I used to get. Since then, I have NEVER been without a minimum of three canker sores at any given time, and often times, I have on the order of 15 canker sores at once. It gets to the point where I can't even hold a conversation without wanting to cry. Rincinol is a total life saver. I use it a couple times a week after I eat breakfast, and I can officially say that after over 4 years of constantly having canker sores, I now experience a precious few days without any as a result of my use of Rincinol. I suspect that if I used it everyday, I might be canker sore free, but the stuff is so expensive, I just don't want to. But even using it sporadically, the length of healing of sores that do erupt is shortened to a few days as opposed to two weeks, and I get fewer sores overall. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. I wish it came in a bigger bottle!

I came down with burning mouth syndrome several months ago. No doctors know what causes it, but it can be managed. I tried some different mouthwashes and diluted hydrogen peroxide with little effect. Then I found Rincinol at a local store and it really does the trick. This product is a huge relief.

My wife had oral surgery last week, it was an especially difficult extraction tooth 31. On the 4th day she was in extreme pain from dry socket. I had several packs of this stuff left over from having a crown done several weeks before. At 3:00 am I found her in the bathroom crying about the pain she described as "white pain". I did not have any clove oil left in the house, so I gave her the rincinol to try cuz she was in distress....

Within 5 mins of application the pain she was experiencing had diminished to the point where she was able to manage it and within 20 mins, she had gone back to sleep. From my perspective, this product was just what was needed to get over a very difficult situation in the middle of the night. It did not remove all of the pain, but we were not expecting a miracle. The product worked very well

My daughter gets canker sores once in a while, sometimes realy bad. There is not much that helps and mouth wash usualy burns and hurt. We tried Rincinol P.R.N Oral Pain Reliver and she said it feels good and it helps the healing process. It is a small bottle, but rinsing every night when she is in pain keeps her mouth clean and soothes her pain.

A liquorice derivative is one (two?) of the active ingredients of this excellent product. Start using it at the first sign that a sore is developing, and the sore won't ever amount to much.

Liquorice will do the same thing, if you catch the sores early, but does not work _quite_ as well once the sores develop (some of the other ingredients add a bit of protection).

Added benefit -- I believe this will actually reduce the number of occurrences over time. Did for me. YMMV

Highly recommended. I've tried many different canker sore "relief" or "remedy" products and some have helped a little and a couple have made the sore worse but none have worked as well as Rincinol Oral Rinse. Its easy and painless to apply (a rinse), non-toxic, and lasts quite a while. My only complaint is if you have sores that last up to a couple weeks like mine, one bottle will only last for 2-3 sores.

Although advertised as a pain reliever (which it does quite well), it also usually seems to help cure the sore too by protecting it and letting it heal.

But as far as actual healing goes, the best thing I know of for curing canker sores -very quickly- (usually in 1-3 days) is red chille peppers (the hot kind in spicy salsa). Nothing works better than hot peppers/salsa (I'm serious, try it yourself).

I had an outbreak of canker sores that started off my weekend. After using this product on Saturday mid day and then before going to bed my sores are much less painful and I can actually eat pretty normally without much pain. Unsure at this time if this product actually makes them heal more quickly but just being able to eat a meal without every bite hurting makes it well worth the price.

Makes Pain WORSE - Upright Ape on Feb 8, 2007 I Like

This stuff not only does not work as advertised - it makes gum pain WORSE. I'm experiencing a lot of gum pain and irritation following oral surgery. When I used Rincinol as directed, the irritation and pain got much worse. Note that such pain caused by "Oral Surgery" is one of the symptoms this medicine is supposed to resolve.

Save your money. Do NOT buy this total rip-off.
