My New Best Friend! - Kerry A. Bangs "Seek on Feb 20, 2009

My back and neck hurt all the time, despite going to chiro's and physio's all the time. I was even going 3x a week for the last two months, but the pain always returned. I got a book on how to treat your own neck, and also ordered this product.

I immediately took it out of the box and used it. Instantly, and I do mean instantly, I felt better. I went to lunch and noticed that I moved, turned my head, and drove with zero pain. The mini body buddy doesn't do much for me, but if I'm driving a long distance or something I will probably bring it. The big one would be too cumbersome.

Seriously, this thing is awesome. I can now get rid of the tennis balls I keep in my office drawer!

Love The Body Back Buddy! - Denise Foley "schmoo on Feb 16, 2008

This is well worth the purchase. when my neck feels slightly stuck i work on a couple of knots and it loosens up my upper back and neck. If you're on the fence, go for it! You won't regret it.

Self Massge Too Duo - Angela Vancleve "fox on Aug 28, 2007

These tools are wonderful! I highly recommend anyone suffering from trigger points, muscle spasms, and Fibromyalgia to order one today. You will be greatly impressed with the pain relief they offer!

Neat Gift - > on Sep 20, 2008

I ordered this Body Back Buddy for my husband who experiences a pesky knot in his shoulder from a muscle tear. I wanted to get him something he could use on himself when I wasn't around to help rub the knot out. It really comes in handy after a hard work-out and it does help put pressure on those hard to reach spots and trigger points. If you sit at a desk for long periods of time (or drive long distances)and have tension in the shoulders you should give this a try. It can come in handy and the plastic is really good, solid and sturdy. However, this is one of those items that can wind up in the back of a closet or in your next yard sale.

Trigger Point Relief Is Right On Target. - Princess A. on Feb 24, 2008

Really good at getting to all the right pressure points. The one draw- back, is storing this big, awkward "S". I did very little research before i purshased this, but i do remember coming across a similar device that folded up for easey storing. The mini BBB is perfect for travel, i keep mine in my bag.

Personal Massage Therapist - Starshine on Apr 29, 2008

I use this tool every day to reach trigger points all throughout my back and shoulders. The unique design enables the user to get to spots and apply enough pressure for effective pain relief. I get massage therapy regularly for back injuries and this keeps me going between visits. I love it! I haven't found the smaller tool to be as effective.

Hybrid S-shaped Design Made More Effective By The Addition Of A Tennis Ball... - trebe on Jun 19, 2011

I'm not sure where the S-shaped massage tool originated, but the Japanese have been using them for quite a while. Some of the more modern ones, consist of an S-shaped metal rod, with a small wooden ball at each end of the `S'. Made of plastic, the Body Back Buddy (BBB) takes this basic idea and refines it, by adding handles and an assortment of pressure points, and nubs to stimulate various trigger points in the body.

Some thought evidently went into the design, but the effectiveness of any particular pressure point or technique, will differ between individuals. Finding out what works for you, is mostly a process of experimentation. Body Back's website provides additional information, like a pressure point chart and illustrations and videos showing how the BBB can be used, but it's up to you to try different things. When experimenting with various positions, it's probably advisable to leave some clear space around you, as it is possible that you might accidentally swing the BBB into something.

Made of heavy duty plastic, the BBB seems very sturdy, and is backed by a lifetime warranty. The two straight handles added to the S-shaped main frame, are a good idea, as they provide convenient places to grip and apply pressure. It may work for some, but in my case, the sharp points usually cause too much pain and chafe my skin. Jamming a tennis ball on the end of the S curve, provides a nice round surface that works pretty well for on my shoulders and back, which is probably the area of the body the BBB is best suited for. The sharp points may work better, when there is a thick layer of flesh between the surface of the skin and the bone.

With the tennis ball modification, I find the BBB to be helpful in relieving stress and pain, mostly in my neck, shoulders, and back. It is supposed to help in other areas of the body, but so far I haven't had solid results anywhere else. The large S-shaped frame does allow you to have the leverage to apply a decent amount of pressure, which can be very helpful in treating pain. The BBB may work for you as designed, but using it with the tennis ball modification is crucial for me. I can often get some relief, just using a tennis ball alone. It's simple to use, inexpensive, and really can produce remarkable results. While there are many places a tennis ball won't work, you might want to try using one first, before investing in something like the BBB.

Excellent Self-relief - O. Cintron "Opy" on Feb 13, 2009

I wish i had come across this product years ago. Wonderful for working out the knots in my muscles that i normally wouldn't be able to reach. I am able to ward of some of the migraines i get from muscle spasms on certain days. WONDERFUL!

Works Great - photofanatic on Jul 5, 2008

My wife bought this to work out some of the knots in her back. As advertised, it does the job. It's dead simple and works well. Great product. The little travel massager / back scratcher is handy, too.

Incredible Product - 3UP18H11 on May 19, 2008

I have suffered neck and back pain for years. I have had Chiropractic and massage visits. Eventually, I began "self-adjusting" and cracked my own neck and back even though I knew it was bad in the long run, it provided me with relief. One massage therapist in an chiropractor's office used the TheraCane on me. It worked well. When I went to buy a TheraCane, I stumbled on the Body back buddy. I decided to buy it, figuring that I could buy a TheraCane if it was of poor quality or design. I cannot say enough good things about it. It is well designed and built to last. Mine came in a box, not an envelope like another reviewer. Mine was also in new condition, without scratches and burrs like another reviewer. I believe that any previous problems have been remedied. This is a fantastic product.

Really Helps Even If It Looks Odd - Dental Hygienist "RD on Aug 27, 2009

I really like this - I am a dental hygienist so I have a lot of upper back stress, especially between my shoulder blades where I can't reach. I took the small one to work with me and although I've gotten strange looks from co-workers, some are asking to use it now :-) The larger one seems somewhat cumbersome when you first receive it, but I sure love it now - there are 2 knobs close to one another on the inside of one of the curves that is also excellent for the neck. Overall, I really like this product and use it often!

Looking For Something Like This For Awhile - Joshua James on Dec 28, 2008

I totally recommend this item. It's great on my neck and shoulders. I try to use it once a day. The more I use it the better I become at it. You need to learn how to use the leverage. I also got a book on trigger points. But you can find a lot on your own. Again, great product and highly recommended! Oh the mini-BBB isn't that exciting. But who cares!

Disappointed, Not Impressed With Back Buddy :( - Alliecat on Jan 13, 2012

I am rating this item 2 stars rather than 1 as part of my disappointment is on my part. Bravo to all of the customers who have had success using this device. Unfortunately, I haven't benefitted and am still researching how to better use the Back Buddy. As most Amazon shoppers do, I had read many of the reviews on this product before deciding to purchase. I have chronic pain, spine issues following a car accident and HUGE knots in my muscles (mostly my traps). I have had physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, aqua therapy and many other forms of therapy to help relieve me of some of my chronic pain. Some worked better than others. Although I have had some success with therapy, insurance usually limits the amount of physical therapy a person has. So I have looked far and wide for a form of self therapy in hopes to relieve some pain and knots. I was pretty ecstatic to see many high praises on this product and excitedly ordered it. However upon receiving the Back Buddy, I was overwhelmed when pulling this odd looking contraption out of the box and discovering that no instructions were included. There was a very small "pamphlet" included with a few pictures but not really any great advise, suggestions or instructions. I had assumed an instructional DVD would be included. I was wrong. I understand there is no mention of a DVD in the description so that is my own fault. However with such a unique device and being it can essily be used inappropriately which could lead to more pain or damage to you, I think a DVD on how to correctly use this device SHOULD be included. I attempted to use it as well as my imagination would let me however I found it very bulky, awkward and difficult to find the appropriate manner in which to maneuver it. I even tried to search for videos online that could help me use it. But to my surprise, I didn't find much of anything helpful. I actually ended up getting more inflammation in my shoulders after using it than before. So I have ultimately purchased a $37 mini massager/back scratcher since the Back Buddy device is useless to me. I am disappointed I didn't go with my original plan which was to purchase the Theracane. It has great reviews and seems less intimidating. Please note that I am happy it apparently has helped many people, however for me it proved to be a worthless tool and now is stored in my shed until I find more information on better ways to use it. Until then I am still on a search for a great self-help item to help reduce pain and knots.
So if you decide to purchase this item, consider these two points: 1. It comes with no instructional video to help you learn the correct way to use it. 2. Using this item can easily harm you or make a condition worse if not used precisely the way it was invented and intended to be used for. Thanks for reading.

Whiplash Backsaver! - H Garcia on Oct 30, 2011

The large Body Back Buddy is my new best friend! I was rear ended a couple of months ago (hard impact, car totaled) and have been suffering from classic whiplash symptoms/back muscle pains ever since. I've been to doctors, chiropractors and masseuses, and I can say without reservation that in using this device just a few days it has already given me the best relief yet in working out the knots and trigger points in my back. I agree with other reviewers, the mini version is nowhere near as effective or sturdy, it also has a pointy tip which I found uncomfortable (I filed it down so that it wouldn't hurt)...I will probably use it only when travelling. Overall, this is a wonderful product for those of us who suffer from back pain!

Body Back Buddy Is The Best Tool Of Its Kind. - pshirleyga "pshirley on Oct 27, 2011

I purchased the Body Back Buddy along with the book The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your self-treatment guide for pain relief 2nd edition. Wow what a difference in my life they have both made. The BBB has many more nodules and ways of use than the TheraCane. If you have trigger points (which I believe we all do) spend the $40 for both of these. It is less than one massage and you can get a massage and pain relief any time you want. I ended up buying another of each BBB and the Trigger Point book so I now have one at work and one at home. What a blessing.

Body Back Buddy Is How I Spell Relief! - Lynn Housel on Sep 21, 2011

These are so very helpful for those trigger points that are hard to reach. Easy to use and sturdy enough to last a life time!

This Thing Feels Great. - Penname100 on Sep 20, 2011

I bought the body back buddy after searching for something to help me with the knots in my traps which cause me to pull my traps and neck pretty often. I'm really happy with the purchase. You're able to get really good leverage with the bbb, so you can put a huge amount of pressure on one single area. My shoulders feel better, a little less tight, and haven't pulled anything yet. A trip to a chiropractor or to get a message is at least 60 bucks, so for about half that, you get a great value.

Feels Good! - Kel on Sep 14, 2011

I found the back buddy easy to use, well made, and worth the money. Very nice tool to have around.
I would recommend

Terrific Item! - Mom F on Aug 4, 2011

I ordered this while I was living temporarily at a medical rehab. When it came, I offered it for my physical therapists and aides to try out. Everyone was really impressed with all the features of it and how it could work the knots out of the muscles. I found that for my own use, once I got the really bad knots loosened up, I really don't have to use it nearly as often. All the knobs, bumps, and handles are really helpful for various parts of the body. I am even able to use it to stretch the tightened muscles under my left foot. Just put one end under my foot near the toes and pull. After not walking for almost a year and having to move about by hopping on one leg, some of my muscles were atrophied and some were overworked. Being able to use this tool to help get relief in some areas has been very worth the money!

I'm Very Happy With My Purchase - nolasurf on Feb 1, 2011

i'm very happy with my purchase. the body back buddy is amazing and i just wish i had more time in the day to use it. i haven't gone back to my massuese since i bought this thing a month ago, and i don't plan on going back anytime soon (just to save the money). And what's funny is my masseuse was the one who told me about this product. oh well, i don't feel too bad for her, she got several hundred dollars out of me; not hard to do when you are charging 70 dollars an hour (which is not a terrible price in general---but not so cool when compared to my personal pay check!!).

Anyways, i'd highly recommend giving the body back buddy a try. I'd just like to add that the mini back massager works pretty well, but can only reach the top 1/4 of your back. i use it at the office sometimes, but get frustrated and just start daydreaming of the full size one that's sitting at home. I can't bring the full size one to the office because i work in a cubicle/common area with several other co-workers and it would just look to awkward and embarrasing (it's pretty large, and has a very phallic looking part to it). If the majority of your back pain is lower than the top 1/4 if your back, i'd recommended only buying the Body back buddy and saving the 7 dollars).

happy massaging,
Nolasurf

Looks Weird, Feels Great! - camillyR on Jan 19, 2011

this thing will get funny looks and people will be embarrassed to ask about it, but when they finally do, they can't put it down. My friend bought me one and I got two for siblings after they raved about it after trying mine. I use it mostly on my back, and sometimes for my neck and feet. It's a weird shape, so it doesn't store too easy but it's always easy to find!

Easy Self-help Pain Management - Ohio Shane on Jan 16, 2011

Works great. Everyone that visits picks it up and starts playing with it. I explain how it works based on the Clair Davies book. The instructions that come with it are not complete. I used to think this stuff was bull. But have been using trigger point therapy for over a year with great success. I am an athlete with new aches and pains all the time. This saves your fingers and gets to places you cannot reach. I keep the smaller one in my briefcase and use at work and while traveling.

Saved My Life! - Lauren on Jan 4, 2011

I have been in multiple car accidents in the last 6 years. Four to be exact. All of them were me being rear ended while i was riding in the passenger seat of friends or families cars. I have been through physical therapy, physiotherapy, medications, massage therapists, etc. The only one that helped was the physiotherapy. But like always, insurance company cut me off from treatment and i cant afford it out of pocket. My father bought this tool first and told me to get it. It has literally saved my life. The headaches, neck pain, tiredness, insomnia, and even sore eyes that i was getting from my neck pain is gone. It is a little awkward to hold and i have to admit when i hit my trigger points it is slightly painful. It is like having a masseuse working on the knots in your back when ever you want. I still have to use it every once in a while when i do something to set my back off, and with four kids under 6, that is often. I could barely function with the headaches and medication would hardly tough them. The back buddy is great!!! Although the extra travel one isn't very useful in my opinion.

A Savior For Hard-to-reach Knots - El Capitan on Dec 9, 2009

I've had the Back Buddy for over a year now, and it's been totally worth it. I keep it next to my nightstand and do my back and shoulders before stretching and going to sleep. Once you get the hang of it, you can leverage quite a lot of strength and direct it exactly to those hard-to-reach spots. I like a ton of pressure when I get massages, and this is a tool that lets me do that for myself. It's not a substitute for a really great massage therapist, but for the money, I feel like it's paid for itself many times over. Combined with a little light yoga stretches, this releases enough tension from my back and shoulders that I actually do sleep better.

I've found that I almost exclusively use the single knob in the middle, directed at/around my shoulder blades (with lots of pressure) and even up the side of my neck (with less pressure). I haven't found the other knobs as useful. The ends of the S don't let me really dig in, so I basically ignore them. That's OK by me.

The mini version is pretty useless for me. I even tossed mine when I was moving apartments and getting rid of junk. I feel that the value of the regular-sized BB is in allowing you to grab both ends and DIG (did I mention I really need a lot of pressure for my knots?), and the little one offered zero leverage and was too short to get to the middle of my back where I need it. It might work for others, but not for me. The large one is so much better that I've even been tempted to pack it in a suitcase on plane trips, though it IS pretty unwieldy so I haven't actually done that yet.

Back Buddy - S. Bowen "river raat on Jan 13, 2009

Product works well and as advertised. Really gets the kinks out and the mini bbb is great on trips.

Quality Of Life Just Went Up - bsmith5598 on Jan 12, 2012

The Body Back Buddy is amazing - helps me with all those so hard to reach trigger points. Keeps me moving around in less pain. How it compares to the Theracane: heavier and a little more awkward. Curve is tighter. Sometimes the Theracane is just a better tool, but overall the BB Buddy does offer several unique features. The Mini BBB is the FIRST THING I HAVE FOUND for - the scalenes! Anyone who is using the Trigger Point Therapy Workbook (which is a must have for anyone in chronic pain - fibromyalgia, myofascial pain, overuse injuries, etc.) knows about The Scalenes! They are the bane of our existence if we sit at a desk, type on the computer..... Do not let a doctor tell you that you have carpal tunnel or a range of other "disorders" of the elbows, wrists, hands - until you have properly treated the scalene trigger points. I have been using my hands to work the scalene points until THIS item came into my life. (Which is hard on my poor hands~!) Now I have just the right tool. I don't find it that helpful for the shoulders or upper back (which is what it is advertised for) because it is too small to give me much leverage, but for those little scalene points - oo la la.

NSAIDs? No Thank You, Doctor! I've Got A Buddy For That! - R. Twomey on Jan 10, 2012

Everything hurts :( Not much seems to help, but this silly looking hunk of plastic is basically magic. Highly recommended.

Body Back Budy & Mini BBB - Realmusician on Jan 6, 2012

Bought it as a christmas gift for my mom who is a massage therapist, They are both very strong and sturdy, both work very well for trigger points. She is very happy with them both... Thanks!!!

Wonderful! - Leiyah on Jan 3, 2012

I picked this up for my brother and his wife. They LOVE it... and now, so do I! It looks strange, but works wonders. Its durable and highly effective for pain relief. Loved it so much, I ended up buying one for myself too!

Nice - Virginia Wright "Gin on Jan 2, 2012

My husband has a Theracane. This is nice but it is no Theracane. It is made of a heavy plastic that I believe will hold up. The one knob that sticks out of the side (shaped like a beak not the ball one) is not very conducive to the way it is built. This is for an average size person and my husband is 6' 6" and 275 so the way you are to use it doesn't really work for him. My husband likes it but he definitely likes the Theracane better.

Boyfriend Loves It - Susan Moore "seguseg on Nov 27, 2011

My sig. other actually ordered this through me and he is totally delighted with it. A friend had one and he tried it, then got his own. It really hits nerves and feels great.

Excellent Choice For Back Pain Sufferers - Keith Smith on Nov 8, 2011

Having had back and muscle pain for over 10 years from a workplace injury, I highly recommend this item for self massage purposes.

It has been a life saver when my muscles spasm and ache.

Looking To Include 12 Page Instruction Booklet. - KC "KC" on Jul 26, 2011

Was this supposed to come with the 12 page instruction booklet. They made a point of leaving that information out of the ad. It shows up on the ad for the Back Buddy without the Back Buddy Jr.

Becky B - Becky B on Jun 5, 2011

The products were just as advertised. I feel that I received just what I wanted and it was the best price that I could find.

Body Back Buddy Duo Really Helps Get Rid Of Trigger Points - gentlesoul on May 9, 2011

I was a little skeptical , but my physical therapist told me that I had SO many trigger points on my body and recommended this product. I'm glad I got it! The very first time I used it I was able to release 4 or 5 point on my shoulder/back that I couldn't have reached otherwise. I am now much more pain-free and apparently my posture has improved because of it. It is lightweight but VERY strong, would be about impossible to break without running it over with a truck. I carry the mini when I travel.

Works Pretty Well - A-Dub on Apr 17, 2011

This product works pretty well. You just have to spend some time learning the right angles to give you relief. The small one that comes with it doesn't work that well. It doesn't provide enough leverage.

Back Buddy Trigger Point Duo - D. Tabor "AcreView" on Mar 28, 2011

Large back buddy is well thougt out and built. Sturdy and appears to be built for a lifetime of use. The mini-back buddy is also nice, but not as rigid as the larger unit... but small enough to easily be used for travel. In all, I'm happy I made this purchase.

No issues with the seller. Item arrived ontime and at cost noted durring purchase.

Works Great And As Advertised... - Winter Wise on Mar 3, 2011

Any number of years ago, I had a friend who had something similar she had gotten at a health store. I always swore I was going to get one and never did...until now. I had strained a muscle, just right of my should blade, right at that point where you can never seem to reach. It was bothering me for a couple of days when I ran across this item and decided to order it. As soon as it came I used it on the point where the pain was occurring. Within a few minutes of use, the pain was gone and did not return. Since then, I have been using it/them to target various trigger/pressure points (as provided in their on-line guide). Great product, sturdy, and easy to use.

Great Tool! - Pilot on Feb 25, 2011

My doctor recommended it to help me realign my connective tissues. It works great and helps me to take the pain out of my shoulder and neck.

Great Self-massage Tool - Esther Gokhale "auth on Nov 10, 2010

Granted this doesn't match getting a good massage, it is surprising how much pleasure, relief and therapeutic effect this stick gives for rather little effort. Nicely leveraged, gets you good angles - I still have a lot to explore, I'm sure. I find it a great supplement to my work in helping people improve their posture to get rid of back pain, etc. When people are really stuck some place, I like them to get some supplemental body work - this is a low cost way of getting the equivalent. We have begun stocking this device at our Palo Alto Center and people really appreciate it.

Pretty Sweet For What It Is - MJB on Oct 4, 2010

As I'm getting in my 40's the trouble spot(s) in my back, located mainly on/around/under my left shoulder blade, is becoming more of a constant issue--sometimes to the point where it's all I can think about. Massages are hit or miss depending who I get and how well they get in there that day.....and 1-2 times a month is max for my schedule/wallet anyway. Tried basically all types of home massagers that vibrate, percuss, shiatsu, etc. and none provide much if any relief and are cumbersome or uncomfortable to use. I find myself throughout the day reaching my hand over my shoulder and just trying to massage myself by pressing on the knots/cables very hard and moving around a little. This big blue thing is somewhat of a revelation. Its design allows the same thing with even deeper pressure and in a much more comfortable position that I can sustain for much longer periods to get some relief. For whatever reason the effect doesn't last--need it almost everyday and sometimes more that once, but at least I have periods where I can drive, sleep, etc without constantly thinking about the discomfort and what I'm going to do until my next massage. The mini BBB is next to useless since it lacks the leverage and stiffness that make the BBB work. Highly recommend this gizmo for what it is--a quick fix.

Trigger Point Relief- Excellent Results - ibuybecause on Sep 26, 2010

After receiving trigger point therapy I was a bit skeptical, but the Back Buddy cane is the best. I can treat myself almost as good as the therapist and most important, when I need it and where I need it. Best pain relief investment I have ever made. No drugs, no stress, no problem. Highly reccommended!

Fantastic Massage Tools - billyboy on Aug 23, 2010

Body Back Buddy? More Like Body Back BFF! - Jesikah G. on Jun 17, 2010

The BBB and the Mini-BBB do exactly what they say they do. I suffer from muscle spasms in my back and my husband is just not patient enough to adequately help alleviate the pain with traditional hands-on trigger point therapy. Its okay, he knows he's impatient with it. I was finding myself leaning up against any pointy surface just to get a "fix". LOL Now when I'm suffering, I just pull out the BBB and go to town. Its soooo difficult to stop after 30sec of working one area, but please learn from my mistakes when I tell you that if you exceed the recommended treatment time, your body WILL generate an injury response and your back will feel like one giant bruise for a few days.

My only "complaint" is that the flash (seam from the top and bottom of the mold) left behind from the molding process was not ground down completely therefore leaving what feels like a sharp edge when pressed into my skin. I have not tried to grind this down on my own yet, mostly for fear of marring the aesthetics of the BBB.

All in all, I love my BBB and Mini-BBB. I keep the Mini-BBB in my desk at work and take it with me whenever I travel. The Mini doesn't stand a chance in a competition against the BBB, but I don't think its intended to be straight up substitute for the full-sized BBB. Its perfect for that little "pick me up" in the middle of the day when I feel a spasm coming on. I've owned my BBB's for just over a month now and I notice that I have used them less and less each week. Since the only thing that has changed for me is the addition of the BBB into my routine, I can only conclude that the treatment is helping me heal. :-)

Great Pain Reliever! - M. Sellers on Jun 17, 2010

Love love love these two little tools. So great in helping me with my trigger points.

Fantastic! - Lee on May 22, 2010

I've only used this for a week, but I feel it's already paid for itself! Between my active lifestyle and the fact I sleep on my side I often get sore muscles particularly between my shoulder blades. Prior to the back buddy the best way to sooth those muscles was paying for a massage. The last time I started feeling sore I used the back buddy on the trigger points and used the round end to rub up and down next to my spine, 3 days later the soreness is all but gone(about the same as a professional massage). I'm sure I'll learn more ways to use this as time goes on, as for the complaints in other reviews that it's cheap plastic and large - the main back buddy is a very heavy duty type of plastic, I feel it will last a lifetime and I store it in my closet so it just hangs over the rod out of the way. This is one purchase that may be worth it's weight in gold!!!!

Reach Those Hard To Reach Places! -- Great Tool - Kustomizer on Mar 26, 2010

This is a wonderful tool. It reaches the exact spot that needs massaging. I also read a lot about accupressure and found that most of the pressure needs to be pulsing type pressure instead of a long steady pressure. It works for me. Several friends have purchased one and they love it too. Great for anyone who wants to relax muscle tension and relieve aching muscles and trigger points. I've even been able to massage places I didn't even know hurt (tops of my feet for example).

A MUST HAVE For Trigger Point Sufferers! - T. Roberts on Mar 10, 2010

I couldn't be happier with this. I am able to get to the trigger points on my back & the back of the neck, by myself! You can use as much pressure as you want, move it to exactly where you want it, etc. without sounding like a whining, bossy, complainer, to whoever you normally have help you work those spots out. Using just my hand, I'm never able to get quite enough pressure on those neck spots. With the BBB & Mini-BBB I can get all the pressure I need.
The only problem with it is there are a couple ridges from the mold seam that need to be sanded down with some very fine sandpaper. It's very minor and you can only tell on the bare skin. I happen to have all I need to fix that problem so no biggie.
If you have trigger point problems, this is a MUST HAVE!

Best Tool For Self Massage Ever - Zot "Zot" on Oct 6, 2009

I used the product in my physical therapy. This is single-handed (pun intended) the best tool for self massage I have every used. Many other devices or techniques just do not work for me. With this tool I can get *under* my should blades, between vertebrae, and next to tendons.

I have also used it on my calves and feet, all while sitting on the couch.

The mini-BBB fits in with my laptop, and allow me to get relief at work.

No, there are no real directions, which is what I expected. I knew where I needed to work, and how to work it.

The only con is that it is big (it needs to be), but it fits behind the couch, or door just fine.

Ship time was amazing (fedex in less than 24 hours).

Exhale - Cityreviews on Jul 4, 2008

Live on your own? Need that knot in your back from stress or your daily commute to stop throbbing? Anchor this on the spot, use the weight of your hand (arm) to add the light pressure and exhale. The smaller device is wonderful to have near the couch as you kick back.
As with any muscle stress drink plenty of water.
