Not Very Impressed - Dude "MM" on Mar 10, 2009

Well after reading all the positive reviews I thought I would give the roll on a try. I have a back that goes out now and then and usually do some topical cream or spray (the big names mostly) and get that nice warm feeling or in some cases a real cool sensation. With the Biofreeze roll on I could feel next to no change. I thought maybe I didn't shake it enough but after retrying it... No difference. I wanted it to be the best thing since sliced bread but it did almost nothing for me. I must be in the minority here since most everyone else likes it. I would suggest for someone looking to try it for the first time, just get one bottle, or tube because it may not be for you. Your mileage may vary.

Please don't let my title fool you. I've use this and it worked for me. It didn't take away all, or stop the pain. I put it on after a shower, and right before I went to bed. The next day I felt very good, and the pain had subsided 90 per-cent. If it works for you as it's working for me, you'll be glad you spent the small price for it. I'm satisfied, and I hope you'll be as well.

It arrived early and in perfect condition. I have a very painful condition known as "Myofascial Pain Syndrome" and I have no idea how I would have survived without it.

I've tried prescribed spot pain reducers and they've made me ill. Biofreeze is all natural and gives me no side-effects.

I love Biofreeze. I am a massage therapist and have a long history with Biofreeze not only to give my clients long-lasting relief, but also for myself after a long days' work. However...oddly, the roll on that I ordered was a bit less effective and had some differences on the logo (leaves). I've never seen that before on Biofreeze labels. The date was ok. Not sure why it didn't work the same, but some Biofreeze is still better than none at all. Good luck!

I have Fibromyalgia, and I use Biofreeze on my body to relieve soreness. I used to use the spray but found it ineffective and short lived. The Roll-on is small and easy to hold/open. It seems to last longer than the spray and it dries pretty quickly. They claim Biofreeze is unscented, but it leaves a minty smell on your skin. Not really that bothersome though. If you get it on your hands, wash it off before touching anything...and keep it away from the mouth and nose (especially the spray stuff) it burns because it's really cold.

Of the BioFreeze products, the order of effectiveness is as follows: 1. Gel (good for long term relief, but messy) 2. Roll-On (still stays for a long time, and roll-on means you put it where you want to) 3. Spray (feels good short term, but most of the spray ends up in the air).

Nonetheless, if you're looking for a product to relieve pain, use BioFreeze. I've tried it all and nothing works better than this stuff!

We purchased this for someone with arthritic knees and it works great to relief pain. It's less messy than a regular squeeze tube, you don't have to get any on your hands. It goes on cool, and starts to tingle and relief the pain quickly. No unpleasant odor either.

I have now used both the gel and the roll on and to me the gel is better. They both are good but I feel that the roll on just does not put enough out to go deep into my muscles like the gel does.

I ordered this product while I was in physical therapy for a broken wrist and saw it at the therapist's office. It does help minimize the pain and has a nice cooling effect on the skin. The odor is noticeable, but does diminish after a while but given the positive effects of this product it is negligible. I opted for the roll-on since I could only use one hand to apply the product and am glad that I did. It goes on very smoothly and evenly and is easy to carry or travel with. I would strongly recommend this product for anyone that needs some temporary relief for pain in a handy, easy to use applicator.

After getting a massage, I tried a sample of Biofreeze for my lower back pain. It relieved the pain right away.
I thought I ordered the gel in a tube and was disappointed to get the roll on. However, I really like it better--there's no messy hands or squeezing out too much. Roll it on and go! It's cool going on but then there's a gentle warm feeling which lasts a couple of minutes. There's a light scent when applying but it doesn't linger.

Biofreeze has been a household must, like bread or milk, since the moment I used it. Have had back problems and neck pain and I have tried everything.. from painrelievers to therapy to massage (and of course it helps to visit the chiropractor when needed) but the best on-site relief is definitely biofreeze. It's not oily like the other icy-hot stuff and works 10X'S better. And the smell does not last & doesn't stain clothes. Trust me. I have a bottle in my car, in my purse, my medicine cabinet. Nothing comes close. Will keep biofreeze in supply until I'm done on this earth.

Before buying this product on Amazon I had already experienced it in my Chiropractor office, it's a great product.

To be honest, I can't really compare the efficacy in terms of pain relief of this product with those over the counter: I think they all work but the difference is basically their form, being this one way better and discreet in my opinion. I had previously bought an Icy hot stick at a drug store and it worked for me, but the smell was somewhat bothersome and my skin would get a little sticky after I applied (and worse, my clothes would absorb it a little and smell like menthol). With Biofreeze you get a similar smell just while applying but it completely vanishes away as it dries out. The best part for me is that it's completely greaseless, so you don't need to worry that it might get to your clothes or give that sticky feel (however, you'll notice a very light blue film on your skin but that won't flake out or anything like that). I just recommend you to let it dry out - which takes a few seconds - before putting your clothes on.

I think the roll-on form is amazing simply because you don't need to use your hands to apply and is super convenient. Overall, I totally recommend this product!

I worked in the backyard this past weekend. When I got up the next day I had a backache on the rightside. I put the Biofreeze on & the pain was gone.The pain came back at night. I reapplied before I went to bed & when I woke up the next day the pain was gone.Great Product.

I was introduced to Bio-Freeze by a massage therapist a few years ago and have also bought it from my chiropractor. I got a better price from Amazon. I have fibromyalgia and neck pain from a whiplash injury and this provides great, temporary pain relief. Sometimes heat therapy works better; but often, the cold Bio-Freeze works much better. I highly recommend it to anyone who suffers from muscular and joint pain.

After spine surgery along with arthritis nothing was helping. I hate taking medicine that alters your brain, so Bio Freeze was a real find for my. I buy it by the gallons now and everyone loves that it dries quickly. It has a little odor, but nothing like some of the similar products out there. Biofreeze also leaves very little sticky residue and is not to tough on my skin. Main thing that everyon needs to understand is that Biofreeze is effective and works if it is applied at the first sign of pain. Also remember not to rub it in, but just spread it across the effected area or areas. East to use and great for helping me sleep by easing the aches and pains.
