This product came as advertised: terrific price, prompt delivery. BUT they did not disclose that the expiration date is less than 6 months. The expiration date was listed on the packing slip AFTER they arrived, although they did say you could return them if you didn't open the package. I'd run out of strips and didn't have a choice. Just be careful. Deep Discount Centers phone number is (832) 368-5877 if you want to call before ordering. NOTE: when they found out what had happened, they sent me an additional 50 test strips FREE with an expiration date of 10/2010, a more than generous action. I agree, they're good guys and I'll order with them again.

I found these strips within the parameters of the bayer test solution test..they are half the price of the ones at the pharmacy..don't know why...but those paticular strips I bought worked as normal..I am going to purchase some more right now ,hopefully they are as good.

I have looked around and found 100 strips at walmart come out to $1 a strip. Cvs even more. Walgreens are about the same price as cvs. I went to SAMs and costco and 100 strips are around $98. Amazon had them for less then half price .think about it. Every time you use a strip it like burning a $1 bill If you have to test yourself more then 3 times a day like I do how much you will be saving getting them at Amazon. Also shipping was faster then I was told and it was free. save your money. I will be getting my strips from amazon from now on and you should too. 5 stars all the way.

Contacted seller and they said they can sell at such a low price only because of the close expiration date and the expiration date was clearly noted in the listing, well it was not!!! They offered a refund but would not pay for return shipping.

Expiration date is within 3 months of the ship date. I didn't see that mentioned anywhere in the add.
Shipping was quick, price excellent, not really sure of quality, since it is reaching expiration. I guess you get what you pay for.

But, through the use of my Bayer Contour Glucose meter in combination with exercise and a common-sense diet, I have learned that I have nothing to fear. The Contour Unit tells me exactly what my sugar readings are and if I need to exercise further to reduce my glucose reading. When readings are somewhat high, I just climb on my mountain bike and get a good workout. The glucose reading is lowered in less than a half-hour. The Contour test-strips are vital to this process. The Bayer Contour Glucose meter is a great product. Purchasing the test strips through Amazon is both convenient and cost-efficient.

I've only been using the Bayer Contour Blood Glucose test strips (in a Contour USB) for about a week, however being a bit obsessive compulsive, I've used a lot of them! Actually, I'm trying to track my levels on my own since diabetes runs in my family, and I'd like to avoid or postpone getting it. This being the case, I've been testing at different times pre and post eating, to see how my blood glucose levels respond to different foods.

The very nice things about the Contour & Contour strips are: no coding (I had to look this up to see what I wasn't going to have to do -- and am very glad that the test strips are engineered to code themselves); it only takes a small drop of blood to do a test, and the strip sucks it right in like a Twilight vampire. I can use a Microlet lance, which barely stings. And the Contour USB provides feedback in 5 seconds, and you can tag the test with "before eating", "after eating" or "no note", then download the tests to a computer program (included) that allows tracking in many different ways. It's a dream come true for someone who loves Excel, bar graphs and pie charts! (Ummmmmm . . . pie!)

A note about the seller, although I will also submit seller feedback. Thanks to my OCD, I read through all of the feedback on this board and knew to look for a seller that guaranteed a long expiration date on the product. After comparison shopping, I looked at about a month's worth of feedback for National Dealz, which had a competitive price, no shipping cost, and promised an expiration date of 6/2012 or better (as of the day that I ordered). Then I sent an e-mail to the company with a couple of questions. They responded within a few hours, and I ordered the next day. So . . . researched on Thursday, 6/2, ordered on Friday, 6/3, and PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED TO MY HOME MAILBOX ON SATURDAY, 6/4. The center that they shipped from was in downstate NY & I am upstate, but I still never expected 24 hour turnaround using free shipping (USPS First Class mail). The packaging is brand new, and the expiration date is 2/2013. Very pleased! Now I can stab myself some more!!!
