Original Factory Replacement Water Panel Evaporator for Aprilaire Humidifier Models 110, 220, 500, 550, 558 Dimensions: 9-1/2 x 9-3/4 x 1-1/2 Humidifier water panels (sometimes referred to as a filter) are a regular replacement item in whole-house humidifiers. For the best performance we recommend that the Water Panel be replaced once a year, either prior to the start or at the end of the heating season. If you have especially hard water - the panel can be replaced 2 times per year.

This water panal is hard to find in stores. Cheaper ones are made from a fiberglass material,very bad for mold, and doesn't last. This water panal is coated and of hard materail,and longer lasting.Although the price is high, it's well worth it.

This water panel can sometimes be a tricky item to find in retail. You typically won't find this in any big box type store and I have had a hit and miss affair with the Home depot type stores. You can easily order it from one of the stores located from Aprilair's web site but Amazon's sellers still had the best price and the return policy can't be beat.

This is a good design. Easy to install, long lasting. The metal somehow seems to prevent the growth of mold/mildew.

great product. It needs to be replaced twice a year or more according to my heating system engineer. water draining through the filter eventually causes it to clog and breakdown due to the minerals present in the water. When that happens there is the potential for pooling water to be drawn into the plenum causing flooding. so keep a few as spares...This not a fault of the product but rather well water sediments that corrode the metal.

There isn't much to say about this filter other than it does what it is suppose to do. We use them in our Aprilaire 550 and always shop the best bargain.

Bought this around October at the start of winter here just North of Chicago. It is now summer and it has worked the way it is suposed to. Amazon has a good price and if bundled with something else to get to $25, free shipping. Recommended.

This humidifier element was just what I was looking for so I ordered two. They really need to be replaced annually so I went for a spare. But while wandering the local stores for Christmas - I found the generic replacements in stock and 50% the cost of these. I looked them over expecting lower quality but found they were the same as the Aprilaire panels.

The company that installed my 87-year-old mom's furnace and Aprilaire refused to make a house call to replace the filter and said she'd have to drive 10 miles to their office to get one. Even though her humidifier is now a "legacy" product, I found this item on Amazon, placed the order and it was there the next day. I followed the instructions and installed it myself.

The item arrived quickly and about 10 bucks cheaper than the Aprilaire corporate website It was the correct part, though in a different box from the one pictured. Easy install. What more could you ask?
