For the cleansing of nasal passages according to the traditional practice of NETI. Clear the nostrils to free breathing. Remove excess mucous. Reduces pollen or allergens in nasal passages. Heavy-duty construction - dishwasher safe. Crafted from sturdy, lead-free ceramic and coated with food-grade sealant glaze. The practice of nasal irrigation, known as Neti, has been used by practitioners of Yoga and Ayurveda in India for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Neti is one of the six purification techniques undertaken prior to the practice of yoga texts known as the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Gheranda Samhita. Some yoga teachers consider it valuable in cleansing the energy channels and balancing the right and left hemispheres to create radiant, energetic health and wellness, which is the foundation upon which true yoga practice can come to fruition. Ancient Secrets Nasal Cleansing Pot is the ideal answer for cleansing nasal passages. This gentle and effective technique of nasal irritation is widely recommended by health practitioners worldwide as a wonderful way to improve your overall feeling of well-being and maintain radiant, vibrant health. Many people practice Neti on a daily basis to keep their sinuses clean and improve their ability to breathe freely. Most find it a soothing and pleasant practice once they try it. If you are one of the many people who find that your nasal passages are blocked as a result of the effects of pollution, dust, pollen and other irritants, you may find this simple cleansing technique of invaluable benefit to you. Note: This information and the Nasal Cleansing Pot are not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any disease and these statements have not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. If you are suffering from any disease or illness, please be sure to consult your health care practitioner. Made in China.

I Can Breathe Bette - aishadit "aishadit" on May 21, 2007

I was very septical at first. I saw the Neti Pot for the first time on the Oprah Winfrey show. I have seasonal allergies that I developed as an adult. After many tests I learned I was allergic to all things environmental. Certain trees, grass, mold, dust, pollen, perfum, etc. I've used Claritin, Allegra, Zyrtec, Benadryl, etc. And all have had some side effects, the most important one on my wallet
I've found that I have gotten natural relief through the daily cleaning out my sinuses. And it feels great not to need a pill to breathe. Who knew cleaning my nose with warm water and a little salt was the solution. The drug companies know and would rather us use their products than this inexpensive natural way.
I recommend this to anyone suffering from allergies. It is odd at first, but you'll get used to it and your body will thank you.

A Life Saver - C. Keeney on Sep 3, 2007

I saw this on Oprah, although I had heard about them before, it sounded gross.
But once I saw it, it didn't look that bad. So, my first sinus infection, I ran to the health food store to buy one. I normally drink a vinegar and honey solution (2tbs vinegar, 1 tbs honey) in a glass of water (it works like guaifensin) to thin the mucus and I don't need a neti pot. This time the sinus infection was bad. I blew my nose so much that the outside of my nose was irritated, because my mucus was too thick to come out. The neti pot saved me. I could not believe that it would bring out more green mucus at the end, even though I could not previously blow my nose and get anything else out. And this was the plug that normally stays there and keeps the infection going strong. Once I did this, I could breathe!!!
This is an amazing product! My 11 yr old daughter who constantly complains of a headache, tried it too, and says her headache is gone.
If it doesn't work for you, you are doing something wrong. Keep trying. I think it's more effective if the water is warm enough but not too much so that it is uncomfortable.

Who Knew This Would Give Fast And Effective Relief To Years Of Allergies? - E. Molinaro "beecake on Nov 24, 2007

My mother had always cleaned out her nose after having surgery to clean her sinus cavities after years of severe infections. I thought it was disgusting. She told me it was the only way to alleviate her headache and mucous as well as terminate other colds. I didn't believe her until, as a professional singer, I had an emergency prior to performing. She used a bulb syringe for hers so that it what I tried at the time. I thought it was going to choke me at first, like accidentally getting pool water up your nose. Also, the salt can feel tingly/burning at first if you are severely affected. Still, I got over the illness in less than a day...a MIRACLE! I have used this routinely since and tend to flush my nose out once every hour when I get the first hint of a runny nose and it never lasts more than a day. I like my neti pot more than the bulb syringe and would have switched earlier had I known they existed. I was always concerned about properly disinfecting the bulb syringe so I purchased new ones. This is easier to clean. You do get used to it and I happily recommend this product. Honestly, it is no more disgusting than all those used tissues. You just get it over with in one place and can put the pot in the dishwasher.

Almost The Perfect Solution For My Sinus Problems... - Bob Loblaw "Bob Lobl on Jun 14, 2007

Done right, this neti pot thing is better than all the claritin, zyrtec, or other pills I've taken for allergies and sinus "clogging". The only thing that I have a problem with is sometimes I'm too clogged to use it. When I've tried using it when I'm completely stuffed up, it just makes it worse.

But after mowing the lawn or doing any work outside, I make sure the first thing I do is a round of the neti! Clears me out and keeps any sneezing fits from ever happening.

Poor Design For An Otherwise Great Item - Pool Enthusiast on Sep 4, 2007

This specific design does not work well for me. I have difficulty getting the water from the container into my nose without spilling it and making a mess.

You do not have to purchase any mixture to put into your water. Using a pinch of non iodized salt in the water works just as well. Iodized salt will burn terribly.

I have a much easier time with the Neti pot made by the Himalayan Institute. Amazon carries those as well.

Great! Design Makes Itharder To Spill When Mixing - chikfender on Nov 30, 2009

WHY I USE IT: I discovered the benefits of using a neti pot several years ago. First, the director of a play I was in recommended it for me, but I thought it sounded weird! A couple years later, I had a friend that used hers once per day and, after years of suffering with "allergies," sinus infections, and "colds," I was desperate to try something other than medicine, which never worked and made me feel icky. I tried it and have been cured ever since. Every once in awhile I stop using it because I get lazy and cocky (I should use it AT LEAST once every two weeks, preferably once per week) and then I get a sinus infection again, reminding me how awful it is! It feel great to use it, like a fresh feeling, but sometimes I forget, especially before I go to sleep.

WHY I LIKE THIS ONE: I have used this and the Himalayan one and have known friends with multiple designs of neti pots. I don't spill any water out of the top with this one. Also, the handle is comfortable to handle when I use, clean, and store it. The ceramic material is durable. This design is easily approachable for the new user.

HOW TO USE IT (you should really follow the instructions provided with the neti pot): To use a neti pot, you need to fill it with water and salt. The amount of salt will differ with neti pots, but is usually around 1/4 tsp. of non-iodized granulated salt (I never measure anymore). Lean over a sink and tilt your head to one side (not like you are looking down, but as though you are stretching your neck on one side) and insert the spout into the nostril closest to the ceiling (if you tilt your left side to your left shoulder, hold the pot in your right hand and insert into right nostril). Wait until all of the water empties from the other nostril, gently blow your nose, and repeat on other side.

MY METHOD (this was passed on to me from a friend and I was slow to catch on, but now this is the way I mix it): I use an electric kettle to heat purified water. I clean the neti pot very well both before and after use with hot water (if you use a dishwasher, I would rinse it off first anyway because I don't believe the harsh, chlorinated soap is good for you). I add the salt to the pot and pour about 1 inch of HOT water into the pot, stirring with a very small utensil (like a measuring spoon). This melts the salt really well! Then, I fill it with cool water to bring it to room temperature. If the water is too cold or too hot, it will feel uncomfortable; I first test it with my finger, then if it seems okay I will pour a little onto the tip of my nose. If it feels right there, it is.

If I am in a hurry, I will use half the pot for each side; if not, I use the whole pot for one side, blow, then refill in the same manner. NOTE: I have found that the water goes through MUCH better if I always start with a particular side, then do the other (it won't go through if I start with the other first!). If one side is stuck, give it a try anyway, and then you can blow your nose gently. Then see if it will go through the other side, then later redo the first side.

I Love This Thing! - L. Clements "LC" on Jul 25, 2007

I have suffered from sinus issues for many years due to my deviated septum. I find that when I can clear my nose enough, since a deviated septum makes that hard to do at times with a sinus infection, to get some air flow and then use the netty pot... it's amazing! I love the feeling that I get after I'm done using it because you feel like you are experiencing breathing for the first time. It feels so nice once you can adjust the temperature of the water to your liking. I like mine on the warmer side. It is a little awkward at first but if you lean forward, tilt your head and open your mouth, it works perfectly. Don't panic if some drains out of your mouth. That is normal too at times but it won't happen all the time. Just remember, once you are done, blow your nose gently. You don't have to blow it hard because you can hurt your ears and also get a bit of a headache if you blow too hard. The Dr. recommended that I do this twice a day since I'm a sinusitus sufferer. I highly recommend this!

Research Supported! - K. Herndon on May 23, 2007

The University of Wisconsin, Madison did a study a couple of yrs ago that studied these, and they are as useful, or more so than any medications out there. Highly recommended for seasonal allergy sufferers or folks with chronic sinus problems. Don't know about this exact brand, but the idea is proven to work.

Works Great For Me - HT on Aug 11, 2007

I bought this after my wife watched it on Oprah. She suggested that I researched something called "Nose Bidet". I decided to try it since Claritin and Claritin-D seems to be not as effective for me anymore. It works great for me. My sneezing has reduced substantially. Even my co-workers noticed it. I also bought NeilMed prepackage saline solution and also tried non-iodized salt. The non-iodized salt works just fine and there is no reason to go more expensive route. A quarter teaspoon of salt plus water (about 8oz) and then nuke it for 20 to 30 seconds (depending on the power of your microwave).

It Worked Faster Than Antibiotics For Me! - Bibliophile on Mar 10, 2008

I used to get 6-8 knock-me-out for 4 or 5 days sinus infections per year until I found this little gem. I was away on vacation (away from my doctor) when the usual symptoms started. I ran to the near-by health food store and begged for help. They suggested that I try the Neti pot, and WOW! I used it 4 times the next day, trying to stop the beginnings of another raging sinus infection. It definitely hurt a bit at first because my sinuses were so inflamed, but it took away my sinus infection faster than any antibiotics - and believe me I have been on all of the powerful ones!

Some people can snort salt water, but not me: My nervous system says, "Knock it off, idiot! You're drowning!" But with the Neti I can breathe through my mouth when I use it(which is now a morning ritual when I get up). AND FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE I CAN REMEMBER, I HAVE NOT HAD A SINUS INFECTION FOR OVER A YEAR!!!! And I have not been sick once! And I saved a dozen co-pays for care and meds! And I am off allergy meds for 10 months of the year when I used to be on them year-round!

Why didn't anyone tell me about this before? Perhaps the dozen or so physicians I've seen in the last three decades for this condition had stock in the pharmaceutical companies.(Just kidding.)More likely they didn't know about it.

I take one on vacation, have an extra in case I break my regular one, sent one to my mother and to my best friend, and have recommended them to everyone I know who has sinus problems.

Note: Be careful not to make the water much warmer than room-temperature. Add just enough salt to make it into a tear-like saline solution. Too little or too much salt, and too cold or hot water will hurt.

Best Neti Pot On Market - Christine Borbely "C on Dec 3, 2008

I have tried at least 8 different types, almost all of them. This is by far the best. It is easier to clean and I don't dump any on my face, and it looks nice on my counter. I use it 3 x a day and am very upcomfortable without it. I just have to be careful not to break it. I would rather buy another one of these when it breaks than ever use another type of neti pot. It is simply the best one there is.

Best.neti.ever. - G. L. Martin-Johnson on May 26, 2008

I tried a stainless steel version of a neti pot Stainless Steel Neti Pot for Sinus Congestion (Ayurvedic JalNeti) before moving to this one. The metallic twang was just ICKY, beyond the whole "I'm flushing goop out of my head at a startling rate" variety of ICKY.

This heavy-duty ceramic model is great. It's glaze is nice and smooth, you can throw it in the dishwasher and be confident it's actually getting really clean, and I've dropped it on my hard ceramic floor and no chips or cracks.

Because it's truly inert, unlike the stainless steel types, you don't deal with any nasty after taste. The only part I wish were different is the size, the stainless one was about one pint, this is half that. Still, it works very well, is comfortable and easy to use.

Best Neti Pot - A. Hagler on May 25, 2008

I had bought this one at a healthfood store and it was the best investment ever! I went on a trip and left it behind with a sick friend who also got a lot of relief by this. But then I bought the Himalayan Institute Neti Pot and I hate that one!! GET THIS ONE! The design of this one is much more functional.

Great Product For Natural Sinus Relief - airbud "airbud" on Dec 20, 2007

Seems the older I get-the more my sinuses bother me. My sinuses are affected by dust, pet dander and airborne allergens outdoors. Ive tried all the prescription & over the counter drugs and dont like the side effects. Ive purchases air purifiers, air cleaners, ionizers ....you name it-I bought it. I saw Neti-pot on Oprah with Dr Oz and thought, "what the heck-Ill try it." Used 1/4 teas Kosher salt mixed with tepid water in the pot (be sure to use a NON IODIZED SALT that doesnt irritate your nasal passages-Kosher salt is recommended). FInd the perfect 'tilt' of your head over the sink to allow the saline solution to flow thru nasal passages to cleanse-relax and breathe thru your mouth-I promise you wont drown!
Wow, I can breathe again! This will become a daily ritual like brushing my teeth. Great product! By the way, another company, Naso...(something) makes a plastic, unbreakable, pot which is great for travel.

Seems Like Such A Simple Idea - Sue S "Sue" on Apr 13, 2009

I bought this item thinking I would just give it a try, but not expecting it to work. I love it and now I don't know what I did without it. I don't know why to so many of us it makes more sense to pop an allergy or cold pill before trying a non-medicinal method. Just think about all the junk that your body has to deal with everyday from pollution to household dust. Just look at your windows!

I find it best to use the Neti pot in the shower standing up, just as part of my daily return with warm water. I do suffer from occasional allergies, and this helps a lot. I started using the Neti before the winter and I have gone the entire winter without catching a single cold. I don't use any special salt, just non-iodized salt from the grocery store for .75 cents. Last forever. No need to spend extra money on fancy salts.

NEW IMPROVED AND PRATICAL - Amar Sappal on Feb 16, 2008

This Neti Pot is a much improved and practical product. I have owned others but this is the best.

Good Solid Basic Neti Pot - R. Edmiston on Oct 9, 2008

I've used this particular Neti pot for over a year now (since seen on Oprah) and it's completely solved my hayfever allergies which used to really mess with me each year. I like the D-shaped opening which reduces, but does not eliminate, dumping water in my ear when I tip it up too fast. It took a while to get the salt ratio and temperature right, but once I did, it was very pleasant ever since. Be sure to get the pure Pharmaceutical grade non-iodized salt without any additives. I mix it with quite warm tap water in a 2 cup measuring cup which gives me two pots worth for each side. Mixing it in one batch saves time and increases consistency. For travel though, I use the RhinoHorn because it's plastic so it's light and won't break. But, for home use, I like the ceramic one better and only use it. For the price and design, this one is a winner in my book.

Sinus Relief - J. L. Price on Sep 2, 2008

I've not gotten into using the neti pot on a daily basis, but have found it useful to clean out the gunk on those days that I feel clogged. The saline creates a slight tingling sensation that I find refreshing and seems to last throughout the day. This design is comfortable and easy to use, though I haven't used any others to say how it fares in comparison.

It does take some trial and error to get the correct positioning and if the water temp or amount of salt is off, there is that burning sensation but it is not so bad. As another reviewer mentioned it is very helpful to warm up the pot first by filling and rinsing with hot water. And I'd skip the special salt packets and just get some kosher salt from the grocery store. I picked up a container for a buck that says it has 525 1/4 tsp servings, so even with daily use that would last almost a year and a half. I'd also recommend only using when you are going to be upright for at least an hour (not right before bed) to give any water which might remain a chance to drain rather than collecting in nasal passages/eustachian tubes.

Even non-drowsy formula sinus/allergy meds seem to affect me, so I'm very grateful to have discovered this natural (and CHEAP) form of relief!

Great Relief From Snoring And Possibly Sleep Apnea! - James on Mar 9, 2008

First let me say that I am no Birkenstock wearing, new-age "medicine", clove smoking hippy. Nor do I subscribe to all of the negative vs. positive energy stuff.

With that said, this Neti Pot is amazing. My wife bought it and I was skeptical but tried it just to see what it felt like. I was expecting something akin to water boarding but it was nothing close. It did take a few attempts to get the salt to water ratio right for me. The recommended amount caused a little bit of a burning sensation like getting water up your nose while swimming in a pool. The results however have been spectacular!

Background:
I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea. I use a dental appliance to help keep my airway open at night so I get a better night sleep and to reduce my snoring to a tolerable level for my wife. Without the dental appliance she is often forced to sleep in another room. My snoring is so loud it can be heard even when my bedroom door is closed. I have always had problems breathing through my nose with one of my nostrils usually blocked. I also take prescription sleep medication every night and frequently wake during the night but usually I am able to fall right back asleep.

Results:
On the first night of use my wife noticed that my snoring had completely stopped. (I also use a dental appliance). The second night had the same dramatic results. She had to feel around in the bed to make sure I was there. The third night I tried sleeping without the dental appliance but still used the Neti. I snored but not enough to disturb her, not continuously, and not enough to wake myself up throughout the night. I did not use my sleep medication on day two or three and I have slept the same amount of time or one hour longer each night. I do not notice waking during the night at all as I normally did pre-Neti.

Recommendation:
If you have problems sleeping due to breathing problems I would highly recommend giving this a try.

Despite Initial Hesitation, I Find It Works Great! - D. Merchant on Aug 2, 2007

It was easier than I expected to get used to using. However, they are right - you do not want to use it if you are clogged up, you will get a headache. But otherwise, it works better than using nasal spray - and works longer. I was rather surprised by that.

A Miracle For Me! - Jean Allen on Jul 9, 2007

I may be one of the few who used this neti pot prior to the Oprah show. I have suffered many years with chronic sinusitis and have used more antibiotics than I care to remember. Once I began using neti cleansing, I was amazed at how it kept me nasal passages clear. At the onset of a previous sinus infection, I was told about neti and used it a few times a day at first and never needed antibiotics to clear it up. I also take this neti pot with me whenever I travel.

For those who have trouble getting the saline through the nasal passages in the morning due to congestion, try taking a hot shower first. This tends to open the passages somewhat and allows the saline to flow freely.

Straight-forward Ceramic Pot Works Well - Omar Siddique on Feb 24, 2011

This basic Neti Pot works well for me. It's easy to use, and the spout fits my average-male nostrils correctly to make a seal. I use my Neti to help clear my sinuses after being sick, as well as to soothe allergy-irritations.

A Neti Pot just needs to hold an adequate amount of water, allow tilting the pot without spilling its contents, fit snugly in the user's nostrils, and regulate the water flow from the spout. This pot does all of those things. The food-quality ceramic construction feels sturdy.

I won't repeat the usage advice found in most other reviews, but will add that:

* Making your own solution is easy, just use a 1/4 tsp measuring spoon. No need to buy packets.

* Pouring water through your nose is necessarily somewhat messy. No neti pot will be 100% drip-proof.

* Pre-warming the pot with hot water is a good idea.

* Slightly too-salty water seems to draw off too much moisture from my sinuses, leaving my eyes feeling dry/tight as if dehydrated. I use a little less than the recommended 1/4tsp to avoid this effect.

There's no need to buy more expensive brands or "starter kits", this pot does everything you need. Recommended.

Best Neti Pot On The Market - Cribbage Player on Jan 2, 2010

If you have allergies or want to avoid catching other people's cold or flu, then this neti pot is the best one on the market because of its shape and material its made of. The shape fits perfectly over your nostril so that you can flush your nose and sinuses. It's easy to hand wash after every use. This is the one I think that was demonstrated on Oprah by Dr. Oz. At least it looks just like it. Ever since I started using this neti pot, I have not caught any colds or flu despite being around sickly people. I have given several of these to friends and family and they are now as devoted to the neti pot as I am.

Most people give up too easily or don't know how to properly use the neti pot. Check out videos on youtube to see how to use one properly. You need to tilt your head to the side and use warm water with a pinch of salt. Also, when you first start your sinuses may be blocked up. Don't give up. Many times during the year, my sinuses are blocked. I use it every night no matter what. Even though it may not drain on one side, you will find that 10 minutes after using the neti pot, that your sinuses will clear up. Germs generally invade when your nasal passages become dried out. So doing this once a day, helps keep your sinuses moist so they can trap the germs. Lastly, germs actually take hours to penetrate our natural defenses. This is why flushing your sinuses once a day helps keep you healthy all year round.

Great Design - M. Veron "marcimunec on May 27, 2008

The design allows for filling of the tub without spilling when using. The angle helps with leverage when tilting.

It Really Works, No Gimmicks! - A. Moton "AJ" on May 8, 2008

I'm a chronic allergy suffer that uses Allegra D and Rhinocort AQ spray. Not only does this product help with immediate congestion relief, it's so effective that using it every 2 weeks to once a month could eliminate the need to take ANY allergy medicines. I've cut back my use of meds about 75%. There's a technique to using it, just don't give up after the first or second time. Yes it will feel uncomfortable, but you have to remember to breathe through your mouth. AND you should blow your nose (one nostril at a time) immediately after using it. Within 10 minutes, you'll notice a completely clear feeling. This is a great investment for allergy suffers who would rather not take meds or who need immediate relief on bad hay fever days.

Worth Every Penny. - Hanh M. Nguyen "hanh on Apr 7, 2008

This netti pot works great! I suffer from year round allergies since a kid and have tried everything from allergy shots to prescription rhinocourt sprays to claritin (which seems to work well enough but just too darn expensive to do daily) to ablation at the Ear, Nose and Throat specialists to reduce the inflamed tissue blocking my nasal passages. The netti pot is probably the most effective and cheapest method I've found so far to open blocked nasal passages. It is most effective if you do it 2x daily once in the morning and once again before bed.

My Husband Actually Snores Less! - JKC on Nov 27, 2007

I think this is a great little pot. Once you figure out how to neti, you probably don't need a pot but for this price who can go wrong. It is simple, easy to use and clean. It is small so it stores well. My husband says his nasal passages are so much clearer!!

Just As Promised - A. Ware on Jul 29, 2007

This Neti Pot is easy to use, dishwasher safe and works great. You don't need to buy those expensive solutions, just a little salt and water. If you get a chance, watch the Oprah episode so you can see how its done. I think I would have struggled if I hadn't seen the episidoe. Just reading the instructions is a little confusing the first time. If it goes down your throat then you need to tilt your head forward (my husband learned the hard way).

The Neti Pot Is Amazing! - Loaf on Apr 12, 2010

The neti pot is amazing for people who have chronic allergies and is the best solution. This is my first use of a neti pot so it would be hard for me to compare this one with another. I will say that it is comfortable, sturdy, and well made.

Great Product, Good Service - Kirby Palm "Kirbert" on Feb 10, 2010

General Product Review: I used a Neti Pot some years back at my brother's house, it worked great. They are a great idea, allowing a person to directly and safely deal with nasal congestion without popping pills or spraying harsh chemicals up your nose. Simply put: Get one. Don't wait until you need it because shipping will take a couple of days and you'll need it faster than that. You know you'll have sinus congestion sometime in the future, so go ahead and order one now.

Specific Product Review: After using my brother's ceramic Neti Pot, I wanted a ceramic one, too -- but all I could find at Walmart or CVS or Walgreens was cheap plastic junk -- and they weren't cheap, $15 or so! They were kind enough to include three cents worth of salt as though that's supposed to make the kit more valuable. I looked online to find a ceramic one, and selected the Ancient Secrets. It is excellent, meets every expectation, but the other ceramic models may be just as nice for all I know. I really didn't care for the little flowery pattern on one of them, but that's personal preference.

Supplier Review: Price was great, got the product in just a couple of days. The Neti Pot was ***NOT*** packaged well, it was basically just bouncing around loose inside a box. It was a miracle it hadn't broken -- but it hadn't, so I really have nothing to complain about.

Best-designed Neti Pot - Tom H on Apr 30, 2009

This is a far superior design to the Himalayan Institute neti pot. This one:
- seals well around the nostril
- keeps the water in the pot rather than having it come out of the top hole
- flows smoothly through my sinuses

The Himalayan Institute design has problems in the above areas where this Ancient Secrets pot excels.

I would give this one a "5" if it weren't for the price. Something like this should be $5.99, shouldn't it? Then again, I have yet to see any Neti pot under $10, so perhaps I am being unfair.

Lastly, let me emphasize that there is no need to buy any special salts. Plain table salt works fine (get the NON-IODIZED variety) as does Kosher salt (it should be non-iodized but has a larger grain so you need to use about twice as much). Think about it... you are most likely going to be using tap water rather than heating up filtered water, so do you really need some overpriced "pure", "medical grade" salt? Save your money!!!

Great And I Have Most Of The Neti Pots - C. Hargrave "C Hargr on Apr 24, 2009

I have two of these, one of the original Neti Pots that is also sold on Amazon and the Neli blue platic ones.
This is deeper than all of them which allows you not to spill out of the top and get greater gravity flow than the others. The original one that I have is just too shallow and does not hold near as much. After trying all of these I feel like a Neti Pot collector and Im not sure how I feel about that... but I can breathe :)

Smooth Spout! - T. Chapman on Feb 3, 2009

I have tried other pots and they have made my nose sore. With this ceramic pot, the spout doesn't have a seam in it and doesn't scatch the inside of my nose. I find they work better.

Small, White, Efficient Neti Pot - David on Feb 10, 2008

This neti pot met our needs just fine. it works well, it's small so it doesn't take up a lot of space, it is just plain white. we like it , and if you like neti pots you will too!

Does What It's Supposed To - Karen L. Rogeberg on Dec 22, 2007

This is great for people with allergies and sinusitis. It takes my sinus headaches away within minutes of using it. I have great success with this product and love that it's dishwasher safe.

Good But Could Be Better - One Jen of Many on Dec 9, 2011

I've used this one for awhile with good results. However, I may replace it because I noticed that crevices on the inside of the pot tend to grow mold or mildew. For example, there are indents on the inside of the pot where the handle is attached. This appears to be due to the ceramic manufacturing process. Also, mold tends to appear on the inside of the spout. It is a good idea to sterilize it frequently. Otherwise, it works well.

Wonder Pot - Rose Madder on Mar 28, 2011

I first used the plastic 'Nedi Med' bottle and was impressed with neti pots. I wanted something a little more comfortable and that did not have a lid. This neti pot is absolutely perfect. I do not have many problems with spills or with it dribbling down my face. It's a comfortable weight to hold in the hand and hold and adaquate amount of solution. As others have mentioned, run this under hot water for a minute or so and then add your salt. Highly reccommend!

Easy To Clean, And Works Like A Charm - Melissa C on Mar 22, 2011

This little guy is a breeze to clean, and holds exactly enough water to mix in my saline packet. Very convenient, and feels pretty sturdy so far. Good buy!

Neti Pot - Debra Paulson on Dec 26, 2010

I bought one of these for myself and one for my daughter. It works well once you find the correct position to hold your head. Non idodized salt stirred well in warm water was very effective for opening up my nose with my recent cold. I also have allergies and it helps with that. I like the ceramic because it can be cleansed in the dishwasher and has a smooth tip so that it does not irritate your nose. The water pours out gently and does not run out of the pot due to the lip at the spout end. I had one that was plastic by saltaire that did not work well at all and I could not reach the company on the phone to complain. It was put out in the our recycle bin.

Wow Snot! - C. M. Gibson on Jan 11, 2010

I've just come down with a nasty cold/sinus thing. I blew my nose until nothing would come out, washed with the Neti and holy poop. This thing will clean you out good.

Fine & Dandy Neti Pot - draperdoll on Oct 6, 2009

This is the first neti pot I have owned. I have sinus issues which have increased with my current pregnancy; because I am pregnant, I am trying not to take any medicine. I bought this pot after painstakingly poring over reviews on Amazon, and was not disappointed. It is a well-made, sturdy pot which even makes a nice bathroom decoration. :) I read some of poor reviews, and it seems that those people are reviewing the process of nasal irrigation, not this product. I wanted an affordable ceramic neti pot (not plastic) and this one is just fine. The process does take a little getting used to (my husband tried it and is not a fan) but, it has helped me when I get stuffy and don't want to take medicine.

I Like It - Nancy on Nov 3, 2008

I wasn't really sure about buying this. I thought people were crazy for using a neti pot. It definately feels weird but if you do it correctly it does clear up your sinuses. I don't use it on a regular basis (usually because I forget). But when I remember or start getting sinus headaches I use it and it makes the headaches go away. It takes a little bit to get the right head tilt and height. Make sure you google how to use a neti pot. There is a website that tells you how to and if certain things happen what your doing right or wrong. It also tells what salts to use, don't bother buying the special salts just use sea salts and then you can grind it fine. A couple of friends have neti pots and they swear by them.

Now, I'm A Beliver - PenMangler on Sep 16, 2008

OK, so I'm skeptical about some of this holistic healing stuff. Sorry, but I just don't believe that wearing bay leaves under my armpit will get rid of my bunions. But, I also don't want to take antibotics to get rid of the same chronic sinus infections over and over. So I read up on this novelty and decided to try it.

It works, it works, it works. There, I've said it. I can't impress on you how much better your sinus's will feel after a bout with this system. Not hard to master the technique - the first time or two will seem odd, but after that you figure how to hold you head so the angle is just right. Then it's just a warm, comfortable sensation in your nose. Quite pleasant, actually. As far as results, most of the villians in your nose are microscopic or at least, tiny; so, most times you won't see a science project in the sink after a treatment. But rest assured that it washes the pollen and other irritants out with the water drainage, then they won't cause you any problems later. I haven't used it while having a cold or an active sinus infection yet, but I anticipate it will help and soothe that problem.

Just try it. It really is beneficial because it works. I use sea salt, works fine, but I'm going to try the voodoo salt concoctions that these guys sell to see if it's any better.

Neti Pot Yields Food Results - Gretchen L. Davey "m on Jun 7, 2008

I've been using my neti pot daily and seem to be having good results with it. I was having sinus irritations and headaches on a regular basis, but haven't had any problems since beginning the use of the nasal cleansing routine. Time will tell if it helps later, when we get back to cold and flu season, but I'm satisfied so far!
