Fantastic - Fast Delivery - Diana on Apr 3, 2009

Product came quicker than expected. A good thing because I waited till the last minute to order and was out of strips and couldn't check my dog's glucose. Thanks very much for fast fast delivery. I discovered that if I ordered 2, I got free shipping. Fantastic!

Glucose Test Strips - Cat Lover "Sumner" on Sep 14, 2009

These strips always come in the regular mail within a few (3-4) days of ordering them. The only problem with regular mail is you need to make certain they don't sit in a hot mailbox. Often I am at work and can't get them until evening. So...Since you know they are coming quickly, and IF you might be gone for the day, have a neighbor check your mail!!!

Seller Dropped The Ball On Defective Product - PEAK on Dec 12, 2010

One of the reasons I order through Amazon is because I am under the impression that they protect the buyer even if there is a problem. I ordered these testing strips and they are defective. I can't get a reading using them. my machine is calibrated correctly. For every one 'good' strip that reads, I have found that there are 3-4 that are defective and won't read. The ones that do read require a tremendous amount of blood which is very uncomfortable for my dog. I sent an email to the seller relating this information and they dumped me back on the manufacturer. Now I have to research the manufacturer's website to figure out how to get these replaced. At this time of year - this is very unappreciated. At any time of the year it is unacceptable, but now it cuts into precious time I don't have to spare. Won't be ordering through this seller anymore. And I may re-think Amazon. I have had four items in the last week that arrived poorly packaged and damaged as a result or they were defective. Thanks again Amazon - you really stink this year.

Dog Or Cat Diabetes - At Home Monitoring - heres_looking_at_you on Dec 10, 2010

What a life saver AlphaTRAK has been in helping me monitor my kitty's diabetes!

I had the benefit of an Abbot sales rep (the AlphaTRAK manufacturer) giving me a demo. Been using it for a year, but the first few months were touch and go (tho my kitty is cooperative). The way I overcame (sometimes works, sometimes not) was to reread the User Guide carefully, 2-3 times. Now measuring is smooth sailing. I've been at it for 1 year. Here are its features:

- Only needs a teensy spot of blood, from the fleshy side of the ear (paws, etc. I have not tried).

- Remains on about 2 minutes while you are finding a spot to lance.

- If you by chance do not get enough blood, will give you 60 seconds to add more.

- Easy to read, though my time display is a little too close to the right margin of the screen.

- Memory feature of 250, with a 14-day average.

- Easy to mark control tests: do get the control solution, included in the complete kit AlphaTRAK Blood Glucose Monitoring Meter Kit and separately available (though I cannot find a link to it at Amazon, you can try Entirely Pets or maybe Abbot Labs). When testing the strips or meter with the red control solution, mark it so it stays marked in the memory (but not in the 14-day average for your pet). I rely on the memory review and it is good to know that a reading is a control test, which I do about once a month.

- The beep (settable volume) will alert you when the meter has enough blood.

- Strips are well-marked for where to put the strip to the blood (two sides, hence two options), and what way is up when inserting strip into the meter.

- Quick turn off feature.

- Long lasting battery (cross my fingers)

Do nots and to do's:
- Don't bend the strips (push them gently into the slot).
- Don't leave the strips out in the humidity, it can alter the readings.
- Remember always to close / snap the container so humidity does not get in.
- Keep your hands clean and dry when fetching the strips.

IF YOUR DIABETIC PET IS A CAT, YOU NEED TO RECODE THE GLUCOMETER (BECAUSE TEST STRIP CODES MAY CHANGE FROM BATCH TO BATCH), AND RETEST WITH RED CONTROL SOLUTION TO MAKE SURE. DOG CODE IS ALWAYS THE SAME BUT NEEDS TO BE SET THE FIRST TIME.

My new vet is amazed at how precise I am in my pet's insulin measurements and BG monitoring. Many vets still don't understand how valuable an aid an at-home blood glucose monitoring kit like this is. Your pet can also benefit IMO if they are hypoglycemic (some cancers / ilnesses can cause low blood glucose) though the meter just says LOW when levels are below the meter's operating range (emergency time, if it were to happen and another reason to do regular control solution tests so you don't waste time making a control test at a time where your attention must be on your pet -- knowing what to do then is a separate issue).

With humans, diabetes monitoring has been the single most useful medical advance in controlling their diabetes, I think you and your pet deserve as much.

Blessing - J. Schroeder "animal on May 20, 2010

This item that we ordered at amazon has been a blessing. We ordered the item for our diabetic dog and it helps us to keep a record of her glucose levels so that we know if we need to change the amount of insulin that we give to her.It also was the best price.
Thanks amazon.com

Quality Products - Cynthia Collins on Dec 28, 2009

I ordered the alphaTrak Blood Glucocose Monitoring System for our 13
year old Chocolate Lab with diabetes. This allows me to keep track of
his blood sugar levels and stay on top of his treatment and insulin
dosages. I reordered the test strips and my order arrived in a timely
manner. Compared to other websites, the price was lower and the products
are of high quality. I would definitely recommend the AlphaTrak system.
It has helped our family tremendously.

Continued Great Service/response - A. Richman "84-87" on Apr 24, 2009

arrives in 2 to 3 days, 2nd time I have used this vendor and have had consistent service/response.

AlphaTrak Glucose Test Strips - Glory on Nov 25, 2011

These were first recommended to me by my Veterinarian for my little Shihpooh dog. They are quick on the blood uptake and quite accurate. I haven't used anything else and I always will order them from Amazon.com because of the best price and best shipping choices. These strips have helped make glucose monitoring of my pet a whole lot easier! I am grateful for medical products like these. Thank you.

Dog Diabetes - Stacy on Nov 9, 2011

These strips are a must have if your pet has diabetes, not human strips! These are extremely accurate are much less expensive than purchasing at your veterinarians office, where charged me over $150 for a box of 50. I paid 1/3 of that here!

Super Service - Darline Leach on Oct 7, 2011

I have a dog that is diabetic and I have to order from online stores as Florence does not have anything for diabetic animals. I always have great service from Amazon.

Very Easy To Use - Clytis "Jad" BoobyBo on Aug 6, 2011

I was horrified when I found out my cat had diabetes and I would need to test his blood if I was actually going to regulate him. After the initial shock I found that using the AlphaTrak strips was a fairly easy task. They require a very small amount of blood for a successful reading. I recommend everyone use this system at home. Extremely economical when compared to taking your pet into the vet for regular blood curve readings.

Fast Shipping, Great Seller - susieq on Aug 5, 2011

Product is a necessity for me. Kitty has diabetes and it hasn't gone into remission. I appreciate the fast shipping as I am always waiting until the last minute to order. It's not easy in this economy. They also ship free. By the time I would go to my vet (use gas) and pay for the product and taxes, it is so much easier and more economical to order online.

Alpha Trak User. - B. A. Larsen on Jul 27, 2011

Alpha Trak is a glucose monitoring strip especially for dogs, cats, horses, and ferrets. It is species specific making it a truer reading for blood sugar.
I only wish it wasn't so expensive, just adding to the cost of taking care of a diabetic dog.
It has proved to be very reliable.
Be sure to run a test strip when using a new container.

Test Strips - J. Cathey on Jun 10, 2011

This system is pretty easy to use. With my cat being just marginally diabetic, I end up buying a box of strips and having them expire before I have used them all. It would be nice if you could get 25 at a time and then not have to worry about the expiration date.

The whole alphatrak system is really well designed and seems to give very accurate results.

Great Service - son of a Marine "bud on May 12, 2011

Needed these really fast. Contacted the company and they were able to change my shipping on the spot. Great product. The best I have seen for testing your cat. I just stick a vein at the top of the ear, put to strip in the meter and up to the small amount of blood and bingo. Tests in about 10 seconds. Don't know what I would have done without them.

Blood Glucose Test Strips-Cat - Bob on Jan 29, 2011

The blood glucose test strips that we purchased for our cat's meter arrived on time. The product was fresh. The expiration date on the product was June 2012, a year and a half away. I am disappointed, however, that the seller billed me for UPS Ground 4-7 days and then used USPS First-Class Mail which is way cheaper.

Test Your Pet With Ease - Calvin's Dr. on Jan 16, 2011

AlphaTRAK Blood Glucose Test Strips are very easy to use! My cat does not love to have his blood glucose tested, but these test strips make the process a quick and easy one, being that you only need a small amount of blood to get a reading. Furthermore, because the blood can be inserted on either side of the strip, you don't have to fumble around to hold the meter a certain way. I highly recommend this product, though it would be nice if the price were lower.

Cat Lovers - Suzie on Dec 31, 2010

Dear Amazon,

Buying thru Amazon.com is the best and fastest way to get feline glucose test strips.

Why pay retail and have to wait; very satisfied and will be a return customer.

Keep up the fantastix service.

Suzie

Fast Service - sewitgoes on Nov 19, 2010

although these are pricey, they're a necessary evil since my dog is diabetic. They were as described and shipped out faster than expected. Hopefully, one day the price will drop...but I doubt it. Abbot labs (the maker) has the ability to charge top dollar and they do

Excellent Product, Excellent Service - ms. self-destruct on Nov 1, 2010

I've ordered test strips many times from AbsolutelyPets and the strips have always arrived either on time or early, to my delight. The product is always as advertised and is always carefully packaged for shipping. As my pet and I rely on these strips to keep his diabetes in check, the reliability of this company and the excellence, and relative affordability, of the product makes me keep coming back to them for test strips. I'd recommend them to anyone.

As Advertized - Calvo on Sep 26, 2010

I used to buy from a local Vet. Cost about the same and don't have to go cross-town to get it. Works just as it should. Perfectly satisfactory. What can I say? It does what it's supposed to do. No good, better, best; it works.

Alpha Trak Glucose Strips - Maggie on Aug 2, 2010

I use these strips to take my diabetic kitty's blood glucose twice a day. I had excellent, fast service from this Seller. In fact, I get them faster thru this Seller than from my Vet, as my Vet has to order them for their Clients. I know when I order them thru you, the order will be taken care of promptly.

Good Strips - Isabel Abdai on Jul 1, 2010

These strips were delivered very promptly, and were packaged well. My only complaint about them is the price. If you're someone who uses them everyday (thankfully, I'm not), it can get VERY expensive, very fast. Other than that, would buy them again.

Shipping - Guy "Guy" on Apr 15, 2010

The product is fine, but the length of time to get it was about double of what it should have been. I ordered them on monday and they weren't even shipped until thursday. My last order from them.

Excellent Product And Service - Harry Chilton on Mar 28, 2010

I am totally happy with the purchase from Amazon.com. I do intend to use them again in the future.

AlphaTRAK Glucose Test Strips - 50 Count - Judi M. Ventura on Feb 8, 2010

Shipping was surprisingly quick although I was told that the strips were on back order. I wish you would also sell insulin for cats at a reasonable price. People shouldn't have to have diabetic cats (or dogs) put down because they can't afford the medical costs.

Alphatrak Blood Glucose Strips - Simon's Mom on Feb 1, 2010

I love this seller..So easy, price is unbeatable ..and the delivery is fast. I order from them ALL the time! The BEST!!!!

Just What I Expected - L. Colon "L Colon" on Dec 10, 2009

I usually get these test strips for my vet, they didn't have any so I decided to order them since it would take the same amount of time to receive them. I got just what I ordered.

Reasonable Price For A Very Expensive Item Otherwise. - J. Doka on Sep 14, 2009

I find buying on line is alot cheaper than directly from my vet. It is a needed quality item.
