This Pill Organizer Can Hold Any Size Meds. - N. Nick "redgarnet54 on Jan 30, 2010

I ordered 2 different sized pill organizers...this one with the clear base which is HUGE, and the one with the blue base. Both are well made and can hold many pills. I was surprised at how big the compartments are in both, but the clear base kit is overly large for what we needed. However, the larger size is easier for opening as there is more area to grasp to open the lids. The lids are clear so you can see the contents, and there is no worry about them opening accidentally...they click and are locked securely.

My suggestion regarding these compartments...if you take between 4-5 different meds a day, the blue base organizer is the one for you. If you take a medley of large pills and your hands are weakened by arthritis or carpal tunnel, the clear base is best so you have more area to grip to open.

Either way, this product is very nice, and if traveling, you can take only the days you need to conserve packing space. Totally recommended by me.

Just Right For My Needs - L. Overkamp on Dec 15, 2007

This pill box is just right for me. In addition to several medications I take a lot of vitamins. These compartments are large enough to hold both. I bought a second box so I can sort 2 weeks at a time. ALso great for travel. Individual boxes snap close and stay closed in your purse.

Excellent Pill Box - Leslie Castro "Silly on Jan 3, 2007

I gave this item as a gift. I personally use the one with 4 compartments. This pill box is excellent when you have to take pills through out the day and do not want to carry around a BIG pill box and do not want to spend time every day filling up a pill box for the next day. This pill box is also very durable and does not open easily on your pocket, bag or purse (that have happened to me with other pill boxes and is a mess!!). It also helps with your self esteem because you do not see at once all the pills you have to consume in a week, as when you carry a big week-long pill box. I highly recomend this product.

Great For Large, Numerous Pills / Supplements; Easy To Fill - philosophress on Aug 3, 2011

I ordered several types of pill organizers from Amazon in order to find one that was easy to use, would hold a large quantity of pills (I take ~15 pills/supplements, twice a day), and would be convenient for both home and traveling. This one was perfect; a few highlights below. Also see the images I uploaded - should help give you a better sense of various features I describe below.

Key features & usage tips:

Capacity: Huge capacity for people who need to take a lot of pills. Most of the ~15 pills I take in the morning are fairly large, and they fit in the AM slot with ease - was about 3/5 full. I uploaded pictures showing how many extra-large pills and how many large pills fit in each slot; I was able to fit 10 extra-large fish oil capsules (they're each about 2300 mg) on one side, and 19 large capsules on the other side. This product would be overkill if you only take a few pills a day, but is great for larger quantities and/or larger capsules.

Easy to fill: Cover of each day's box can be removed - makes it much easier to load (especially if filling multiple boxes at once). If you open both sides, the lids open less than 90 degrees, so instead of dropping pills straight down, you have to angle around the lids, which takes more time. To remove cover, open both AM & PM flaps, squeeze them together over the center of the box and pull up. I'll typically lay out all the boxes at the beginning of the week, remove all the covers, and fill in assembly-line style. Just make sure you always orient the slots the same way, e.g. always keep the AM slot on the left as you're filling. To reinsert cover, put plastic legs into the slots in the middle of the box, then push down each side until the lid snaps closed. You could also just open all the AM slots and fill, then close and open the PM slots and fill - but I found that since I have some supplements that I take both AM and PM, it was faster to have both sides open when filling. I haven't had the product long so am not sure how long the lids will hold up if they're removed and reinserted each week during filling, but they seem pretty stable. The contours on the plastic "legs" make it unlikely the cover would come off on its own.

Convenient for travel & home use: The clear tray is great for keeping the whole week organized, and the separate boxes for each day make it very convenient for use on the go (whether traveling or just going out for the evening). It's great for traveling if you normally take a lot of pills, because you avoid having to lug all the pill bottles with you -- and you can only take the days you need (just throw the individual boxes in a bag, if you're not bringing the clear tray with you). Also great for home use - if you're going out for the day you can just throw that day's box in your purse or bag. And though this is a personal preference, I sometimes get aggravated during the process of opening/dispensing supplements from 15 different bottles, twice a day - so filling this set up once a week minimizes the aggravation, and makes it easy and fast when it comes time to actually take the pills.

Not What I Hoped For - R. A. Buley Neumar " on May 20, 2007

The boxes were bigger than I expected, the whole thing doesn't have a cover so it is not portable for going away, each box is too big to put in the pocket to take for the day, and you can't see into them to know if they are filled or not. A big disappointment for my needs.

Broke IMMEDIATELY - ThosBart "thosjmes" on Jul 18, 2010

Very attractive package but that's all. Ridiculously difficult to fill quickly (compared with dispensers such as Detach 'n Go). The capper was that the flimsy plastic lid covering one of the bins snapped off the very first time I tried to fill it. Useless. If it didn't cost more to ship the bloody thing than it's worth I'd return it.

Works Well For 2 People - Beth King "stepaerob on Mar 15, 2010

Between our multivitamins, flax seed capsules, probiotics, etc., my husband and I take several vitamins each day. When I purchased this product, I used our label maker and put his name over the AM and my name over the PM product labels. I refill the containers once a week and it makes taking our vitamins quick and painless.

Holds Lots Of Pills! - Rae on Feb 12, 2010

I have been searching for a vitamin holder to hold all of my pills. I agree with a few other reviews, this holder is HUGE! I take 12 pills twice a day. 3 horse pills (cal mag), fish oil and some large capsules totaling 24 pills a day plus a cranberry chewy. This pill holder is still only 2/3 full. Not sure if the blue tray would have fit all my pills, but i definitely have extra space in this. I just received this holder so I'm not sure how sturdy it will hold up, but it's very easy to open. This is much easier to open than the Walgreen's brand am/pm detachable pill box i bought which am returning because it's too small, which was hard to open and I have strong fingers.

Excellent Value - DETG "DETG" on Feb 18, 2009

This pill organizer suited my needs perfectly. I take a few Rx meds and several supplements once or twice daily. This organizer lets me fill for an entire week to help me keep track, and the compartments are large & deep enough to hold multiple "horse pills", AM and PM. It travels well (although a rubber band to keep the 7-day containers in the tray helps). My only disappointment was that the hinged lid on one compartment broke after a year of use and I could not replace the single day container. So, I'm purchasing another full tray and will keep the other for replacements.

Best Of Many Tried - Ann Lawrence "Dr. An on Nov 16, 2011

I am one of those who have purchased and tried many different pill organizers over time. To a couple of people who gave this item a one star review: 1) I wouldn't review the item badly because it is too large for your particular needs -- it is just an item that fits the needs of those who take more pills. 2) Another person stated that it broke immediately. The plastics that the individual boxes and the tops to those boxes are made from is is somewhat pliable. I find it hard to believe that the top just broke off unless that user did not realize that the top is attached in several places and you have to pull it off straight up in order to remove it completely. You can do this, leaving the boxes completely open for filling. Then you just insert the pegs from the cap back into the slots in the center of the box and press it firmly back into place.

Over the years I have added more and more supplements to my daily regimen, so I now have a sizable number of pills to organize. I found this pill organizer to be nearly perfect. As I said above, when you pull off the tops to the individual boxes, the boxes are super easy to fill. I am also a fan of the large compartments -- particularly in light of the fact that you can stand this pill organizer up so that it takes up little space on the counter. The plastic tray for the boxes keeps them together for the week -- one problem is that the tray is made of sort of thin non-pliable plastic. The one I ordered came cracked -- too much bother to return it so I am living with it. The lettering on the boxes is big enough and dark enough to read easily, and I like that the full name of the day is printed. If I were to suggest improvements to this item, it might be to round the corners a bit so that if someone wanted to carry a day's box with them (in a pocket for instance) it would be a little more amenable to that. All-in-all, thumbs up!

Excellent For Storing Multiple Supplements - Tami S. "Tami S." on Apr 20, 2011

This pill organizer is rather big and bulky, but it holds all the supplements that I need to take twice a day. I bought two so I only have to fill them every two weeks. This is the perfect solution for you if you need to take a number of larger pills, twice a day.

FINALLY One Big Enough!!! - Deuce's Mom on Mar 23, 2011

I take a lot of vitamins/supplements a day. A lot. This case holds all my pills, with room to spare, in a neat little package that I can keep on my countertop. No longer do I have the 6 million bottles on my counter. YAY!

Practical And Easy To Use - Jade on Mar 23, 2011

In addition to several prescriptions, I take many supplements daily including large fish oil capsules. This pill box is large enough to handle everything with room to spare. It is very easy to line up the individual boxes side to side on my desk and organize my pills for the week. I take one box with me to work and when I am done with it at the end of the day, I like to tip the box so that it rests diagonally in its tray to signal that it's due for refilling.

Other reviewers comment that it is difficult to open the lids and when I first received the set, I was disappointed for the same reason. There is little to no 'lip' to push up on, and I had to use the edge of a table to open it for a while. What I have found, though, is that with use the plastic lids have relaxed and are much easier to open. I use the side of my thumb, rather than the tip, and have no difficulty at all. The lids still close securely with a loud 'click' and do not feel flimsy at all. The lack of a 'lip' on the lids actually seems to add to the durability, since there is less that could potentially break off. I imagine that this pill box will stand up to use for quite some time.

Difficult To Open And Very Breakable - J. Tyler Thompson on Jan 16, 2011

I thought this would be perfect for organizing my vitamins. But, it is VERY difficult to open the compartments...and I found it scraped my knuckles in a mildly painful way every time I opened. One of the lids broke the first time I was filling them...and the clear tray was cracked when delivered. Save your money...

Handy - T. Parks "MegaRamsey on Nov 14, 2010

I never use them all, but I do use one in my purse, an additional one or two when we travel. Handy item.

LOVE THESE PILL BOXES - Kaowdo on Oct 13, 2010

Have had these (2 set's..enough for 14 days) for a couple years, and they are great. I like the different color's, as their easier to spot when I misplace one, and the size is perfect...as they hold all my pills. The only complaint I have is when I first purchased and filled them it was very hard to read the top...so I took a black marker and marked them 1,2,3 & 4 on top...and it worked great. Very happy with this purchase, and will deffinately buy again...if needed.

Great Pill Container - Zoe Williams on Oct 1, 2010

This pill container is great. It's compartments are large enough to hold all my pills and supplements (I take about 15 pills per day, most of them quite large) and the lids won't snap open accidentally in my purse. The clear carrying case does not have a lid, but holds the daily pill cases tightly enough that they won't fall out.

. - Margie Vincent on Sep 5, 2010

Best pill organizer I have ever had. Large sections hold many pills, including large ones.

USE THIS ORGANIZER EVERY DAY! - C. Barnes "Realtor" on Aug 21, 2010

My husband and I take a multi vitamin and other supplements each day. He is the AM and I am the PM.....so this organizer works for both of us. I just have to fill it once a week...which is a WHOLE LOT BETTER than getting all of those vitamins and supplements out every day. Saves time for sure! I have no complaints and it's been very useful!

Great Pill Box - J. Wells "Socknitste on Feb 24, 2010

I use this pill box for my 6-year-old. Kids multivitamins are bulky, since they are chewable--so all room in these little boxes is great. In the morning he takes his multis, a vitamin C and his omega-3 supplements. In the afternoon, he takes a calcium supplement and a supplement for kids to support concentration. This box helps me stay organized and keep track of whether he has taken his vitamins or not. He loves the bright colors and the fact that his vitamins are organized just like mom's--and the fact that he can do it himself. For myself, I use a similar organizer that has 4 compartments for each day by the same manufacturer. Great, durable product that is stackable, easy to store, easy to use and easy on the eye.
