Editorial Reviews
Color coded for each day. 2 Compartments for each day show A.M. and P.M. Each compartment holds what you need for the day. Can be used individually. Easy for travel. Lids will not open accidentally. Dishwasher safe for cleaning.

My suggestion regarding these compartments...if you take between 4-5 different meds a day, the blue base organizer is the one for you. If you take a medley of large pills and your hands are weakened by arthritis or carpal tunnel, the clear base is best so you have more area to grip to open.
Either way, this product is very nice, and if traveling, you can take only the days you need to conserve packing space. Totally recommended by me.
Key features & usage tips:
Capacity: Huge capacity for people who need to take a lot of pills. Most of the ~15 pills I take in the morning are fairly large, and they fit in the AM slot with ease - was about 3/5 full. I uploaded pictures showing how many extra-large pills and how many large pills fit in each slot; I was able to fit 10 extra-large fish oil capsules (they're each about 2300 mg) on one side, and 19 large capsules on the other side. This product would be overkill if you only take a few pills a day, but is great for larger quantities and/or larger capsules.
Easy to fill: Cover of each day's box can be removed - makes it much easier to load (especially if filling multiple boxes at once). If you open both sides, the lids open less than 90 degrees, so instead of dropping pills straight down, you have to angle around the lids, which takes more time. To remove cover, open both AM & PM flaps, squeeze them together over the center of the box and pull up. I'll typically lay out all the boxes at the beginning of the week, remove all the covers, and fill in assembly-line style. Just make sure you always orient the slots the same way, e.g. always keep the AM slot on the left as you're filling. To reinsert cover, put plastic legs into the slots in the middle of the box, then push down each side until the lid snaps closed. You could also just open all the AM slots and fill, then close and open the PM slots and fill - but I found that since I have some supplements that I take both AM and PM, it was faster to have both sides open when filling. I haven't had the product long so am not sure how long the lids will hold up if they're removed and reinserted each week during filling, but they seem pretty stable. The contours on the plastic "legs" make it unlikely the cover would come off on its own.
Convenient for travel & home use: The clear tray is great for keeping the whole week organized, and the separate boxes for each day make it very convenient for use on the go (whether traveling or just going out for the evening). It's great for traveling if you normally take a lot of pills, because you avoid having to lug all the pill bottles with you -- and you can only take the days you need (just throw the individual boxes in a bag, if you're not bringing the clear tray with you). Also great for home use - if you're going out for the day you can just throw that day's box in your purse or bag. And though this is a personal preference, I sometimes get aggravated during the process of opening/dispensing supplements from 15 different bottles, twice a day - so filling this set up once a week minimizes the aggravation, and makes it easy and fast when it comes time to actually take the pills.
Over the years I have added more and more supplements to my daily regimen, so I now have a sizable number of pills to organize. I found this pill organizer to be nearly perfect. As I said above, when you pull off the tops to the individual boxes, the boxes are super easy to fill. I am also a fan of the large compartments -- particularly in light of the fact that you can stand this pill organizer up so that it takes up little space on the counter. The plastic tray for the boxes keeps them together for the week -- one problem is that the tray is made of sort of thin non-pliable plastic. The one I ordered came cracked -- too much bother to return it so I am living with it. The lettering on the boxes is big enough and dark enough to read easily, and I like that the full name of the day is printed. If I were to suggest improvements to this item, it might be to round the corners a bit so that if someone wanted to carry a day's box with them (in a pocket for instance) it would be a little more amenable to that. All-in-all, thumbs up!
Other reviewers comment that it is difficult to open the lids and when I first received the set, I was disappointed for the same reason. There is little to no 'lip' to push up on, and I had to use the edge of a table to open it for a while. What I have found, though, is that with use the plastic lids have relaxed and are much easier to open. I use the side of my thumb, rather than the tip, and have no difficulty at all. The lids still close securely with a loud 'click' and do not feel flimsy at all. The lack of a 'lip' on the lids actually seems to add to the durability, since there is less that could potentially break off. I imagine that this pill box will stand up to use for quite some time.
